  • First let me thank you for having a coil twist maint. video. The only concern I have is that you use baking soda on your hair. I wouldn't recommend that as a scapl cleanser it is vry alkaline and rough on our natural hair. I recommend view KimmayTube's series on the structure of hair for scientic back up as to why this practice can be bad for the hair. But I still give two thumbs up on your coil twists.

  • Hi nnventers! Thankyou so much for your video. I havn,t done the coil twists yet, but have been looking at vids on how to do them, but as you rightly said there are hardly any on how to MAINTAIN them, so thankyou for that. My only wish is that you would have actually SHOWED US how you clean your scalp and apply the butter etc... something to think about.

  • Do you actually wash your hair in the finger coils is what I need to know and will they come out. I just got my first coils on my twa which is very short. Will they come out if I put water on them.

  • your voice is soooo calming/soothing...no homo. lol

  • ok using too many products on your hair can hinder its growth not to mention add excess buildup on the scalp. its no wonder you have to cleanse your scalp every week with the baking soda and the antiseptic. Ive been going natural for like two years and Personally the only products that i use is the black soap for my comb coils and my locking gel (cause im locking of course). really at the end of the day all you need is the soap, the gel and the conditioner thats all.

  • I just got mine and im black with sorta striaght hair. i got them done last night with ampro style gel and i slept with a du-rag. my hhair is hard and flat. is it gonna stay like that?

  • Thank you, I've been looking all over to find out how to maintain and clean my coil twists. It always stumps me when i can't find something on google.

  • Hi, great info..what was the name of the growth oil and did you get it online? cost? Thanks

  • where did you find that shampoo?

  • You are a very beautiful woman.

  • hey Nicoly!!! its Miss Bourjolly!!! I'm subscribing!

  • hey, i went in to get dreads and the girl gave e comb twist and they just look like strands of curly hair... did she do it wrong?

  • No she didnt you have to leave them in and your hair will eventually loc, also get a book on loc/natural haircare maintance because event though you hair is locked you still have to take care of it for it to grow long

  • i agree my friend lol

  • Great video. I couldn't hear the name of the stuff in the white bottle after the whalla rosemary oil. Can you send that info to me. I'm interested in those two products. Thanks

  • I just Got my first comb coils!!!! Thanx for this video. I will post a video response to let ya see them. What have you found to be the best way to keep them at night?

  • A satin sleep bonnet worked the best for me. Also make sure you keep them hydrated. I used a vegetable glycerin based leave in conditioner.

  • whats the diff between comb coils and dreads cus i told some one i wont the thin dreads and they said get comb coils are they gus thiner or what

  • @KiNgOfSuPrAs comb coils are also used to start dreads. hope that helps.

  • @KiNgOfSuPrAs Comb coils are used to start dreads. If you don't take them out then they lock together

  • thanks for the video

  • Thank You. Very informative. I find that the comb coils work best on my hair at this time, it's just not ready or not long enough for the two strands.

  • Really nice video, thanks for the tutorial..

  • Thanks for the encouragement!! I love your vids, you've been an inspiration.
