@colten117 It's not a matter of working on my aim, it's a matter of jumping on a game you haven't played in a while and getting used to it's aiming controls again, because every game is different, and if you haven't played a game in a while, the aiming controls will throw you off.

lol not really bc most of the shooting games has an option all you need to do is to change like the settings for it to run the way you want like 90% shooting games has them the 10% shooting games that dont have them are like lame arcade games and really old games from like 2000 or some thing lol

It really does depend on the game. Also, if you jump into a game you haven't played for a while, and just use whatever settings you had it on, you're still going to be a bit off till you get used to the aiming. I loved the infection gametype trying to hunt down the remaining human players as the infected. As the humans trying to find clever places to hide and hold down an areas with my team just trying to survive.

Actually, Area 51 has the online startup utility on the game disk itself. If you're saying that you don;t have the startup disk, just try to connect to Area 51 online, and there should be some way to edit your connection on it. I don't remember exactly how you do it in Area 51 in particular, but I have tested it before.
What do you mean? If you put a PS2 disk into a PC, then you can sometimes explore the disk to look at the data, but unless you have an emulator, you can't play the game on your PC when you put the disk in your PC.
Maybe there are some compatibility issues with your newer graphics card.
I've had problems with some games that my PC should be able to play with it's eyes shut, but sometimes older games have trouble running on newer technology. I couldn't say exactly why some games have no problems running, and others decide to be pains in the ***.

It depends. I don't think the bluetooth headset will work, but I do know that the USB headset I use on the PS2 also works on the PS3. If you've got a simple USB PS3 headset, then give it a try on the PS2. You may save yourself some money buying a headset you don;t need after all.

Nah man. It's been 2 years since I've played this (Finally found another copy of the game about 3 days ago) so no one knows me, so I haven't pissed anyone off....Yet. Yes, I do have a mic. But I just don't speak until spoken to. To me, just barging into someone elses conversation is either awkward or rude. But thats just me.
Well, I do admit I was kick once for a reason. It was a small TDM and I was "base rapeing". But they would take awhile to come out so i just wandered over to thier base to get them. Didn't know it was a bad thing.
The question is were you in their base, or were you spawn killing. Being in a base isn't a big deal, but shooting people when they swan is I guess.
For me, if I get caught in an enemy spawn, I normally don't try and stick around. I usually just travel through. Plus since they're respawning, you never know when they're going to spawn in and shoot your ass in the back.
Nah I dont spawn kill. I went all the way in the base to see what the hell is taking so long. I'll go in, see if I can find them, if I do, I just shoot off some rounds towards them and see if they follow. Which they usally do.

Yep. In fact, if you click the gamespy link in the description, you can see exactly how many people are playing the game right this second. When I clicked just now there were only 19 people on. There's never a ton of people playing this game, but there is always someone playing. It's community is very dedicated tot he game.
This game is really solid online on the PS2. It's a fresh breath of air away from the overly laggy crappy ONLINE ones the system mainly has.
I made sure to make "online" in big letters because the PS2 definitely has good offline shooters, but geez are the online portions of most of them bad.
the map wit green water is called Rift & its online. every map is Online except for a map called "Shaft" which is only in 2 player mode if u dont save it 2 ur memory card

I'd heard that the Xbox version was dead, but the PS2 version still has a dedicated following. As far as Xbox Live gamers go for the original Xbox, if it ain' t Halo 2, they don't give a damn about it.
When I had Live, I would try so many Xbox games out only to find that no one plays them at all. It's frustrating really. There are plenty of good games out there that don't get played on live.
Get a slim. They're pretty cheap now, and the Network adapter will run you around $40-$50 anyways, so you may as well get a slim as a secondary PS2, and it comes with the online capabilities built in.
You know what I've grown to take pride in? Getting kicked off servers. Only because it's because i'm doing too well.
Like just recently I played on a server that had 12-4 teams on Meltdown. I switched to the underdog team, and quickly became first place. My team was losing awfully, but I was in first. Two of my teammates left, and I grabbed a sniper and showed them how it's done. I put 12 bullets into the opposing team, then got kicked.
It used to make me mad, now it's my badge of honor! :)
I actually played on a server where, for some reason, they put everyone on the same team! I kept switching to kill them all by surprise and they kept moving me back. I did this until they kicked me.
That's weird. Maybe they were trying to rank up or something, but then again, I don't believe that Area 51 keeps rank does it?
I know that in some games it counts as a win if toy automatically win because no one else is on the other team.
What I really hate in games like Killzone is sometimes they create a room to play, and they don't play. They use it as a chat room. That drives me ape **** batty.
Well Area 51 does keep stats, and they were playing capture and hold. But all that would get them is a extra win on their stat chart. I hardly think it would be worth that much trouble. Possibly they were doing the chat room thing. I had never considered that before.

I've had that happen to me on Killzone before. It's like, go chat on yahoo, or something. I don;t come on the game for social networking, and I could care less to talk to a bunch of stupid people. I just want to play the game.
I agree I hate when people use fucking games for chatting thats not what games are meant for there meant to be played and to use the chat system for help like when playing team death match or other things capture the flag thats what the chat system is for.

Urban Chaos' servers are still up, but Outbreak has been taken down from what I've heard.
Most of the Games that use Gamespy servers like Urban Chaos probably wont go offline for a long time if ever unless the developers specifically ask for them to be taken down.

Hold L3 (flashlight button) down until you see your name on the bottem of the creen then start talking. when you're done, just release L3.

Hear People Talk On Area 51 without a mic 1.hit start 2.go to menu 3.go to settings 4.go to hedset setup 5.on headset audio scroll to the right until u see T.V speakers 6.hit accept 7.hit accept again now u should be able to hear some 1 if there talking on there mic!

Yep. In fact, if you click the gamespy link in the description, you can see exactly how many people are playing the game right this second. When I clicked just now there were only 19 people on. There's never a ton of people playing this game, but there is always someone playing. It's community is very dedicated tot he game.

This game is really solid online on the PS2. It's a fresh breath of air away from the overly laggy crappy ONLINE ones the system mainly has.
I made sure to make "online" in big letters because the PS2 definitely has good offline shooters, but geez are the online portions of most of them bad.

the map wit green water is called Rift & its online. every map is Online except for a map called "Shaft" which is only in 2 player mode if u dont save it 2 ur memory card

I don;t remember the map name, but I'm sure someone here will be able to fill you in on it.
I'd heard that the Xbox version was dead, but the PS2 version still has a dedicated following. As far as Xbox Live gamers go for the original Xbox, if it ain' t Halo 2, they don't give a damn about it.
When I had Live, I would try so many Xbox games out only to find that no one plays them at all. It's frustrating really. There are plenty of good games out there that don't get played on live.

Get a slim. They're pretty cheap now, and the Network adapter will run you around $40-$50 anyways, so you may as well get a slim as a secondary PS2, and it comes with the online capabilities built in.

You know what I've grown to take pride in? Getting kicked off servers. Only because it's because i'm doing too well.
Like just recently I played on a server that had 12-4 teams on Meltdown. I switched to the underdog team, and quickly became first place. My team was losing awfully, but I was in first. Two of my teammates left, and I grabbed a sniper and showed them how it's done. I put 12 bullets into the opposing team, then got kicked.
It used to make me mad, now it's my badge of honor! :)

I hate people who unbalance the teams, and then kick other players who are doing better than them.
They need to grow up. It's just a game.
I'm usually the one who will switch sides in order to keep the teams even while most people just care about being on the winning team.
I prefer to win fairly as opposed to having to stack the teams to win. There's no honor in that.

I actually played on a server where, for some reason, they put everyone on the same team! I kept switching to kill them all by surprise and they kept moving me back. I did this until they kicked me.

That's weird. Maybe they were trying to rank up or something, but then again, I don't believe that Area 51 keeps rank does it?
I know that in some games it counts as a win if toy automatically win because no one else is on the other team.
What I really hate in games like Killzone is sometimes they create a room to play, and they don't play. They use it as a chat room. That drives me ape **** batty.

Well Area 51 does keep stats, and they were playing capture and hold. But all that would get them is a extra win on their stat chart. I hardly think it would be worth that much trouble. Possibly they were doing the chat room thing. I had never considered that before.

I've had that happen to me on Killzone before. It's like, go chat on yahoo, or something. I don;t come on the game for social networking, and I could care less to talk to a bunch of stupid people. I just want to play the game.

The very least they could do is play while they're chatting. I've been in many online games where people were multi-talented like that. They could play and have a conversation at the same time.
I don't know why people want to make a damn chatroom in a video game.

Urban Chaos' servers are still up, but Outbreak has been taken down from what I've heard.
Most of the Games that use Gamespy servers like Urban Chaos probably wont go offline for a long time if ever unless the developers specifically ask for them to be taken down.
