Trust me a westy only does what they want to do, if they didn't like it, they wouldn't do it. Look at how his tail is wagging, which shows he is loving it (probably the attention as well), If he had done it before and not liked it, you wouldn't get him anywhere near the treadmill. Bit like trying to put our late westy in the shower....not a chance, just a chase around the house until we caught him :D.
My westie can run for around 20 km at full speed with only a couple short breaks until she gets tired - and she's 11! This is like an easy walk to the park.
watch my other video you can tell she likes it, she isnt even close to it being tortured this is the first time she has been off the leash on the treadmill and becasue the camera is so close it makes it look like she is running fast when its only around 3.8km/h. The last thing i would want to do is hurt her, she is my most favorite thing ever lol i would'nt trade her for anything
haha how many comments from people who think its actually bad for the dog, Ive actually been considering using a treadmill on my dog, because that way I can exercise him without him being attacked by other dogs or getting glass in his feet. your dog is soo cute, and dispite what others say here, at least your dog is getting enough exercise
a treadmill is equally as dangerous as walking your dog in the street and having it attacked, or walking your dog on the street and having it cut its feet on glass, and you least likely have to pay for operations, inoculations and stitches because your dog ran off the end of a treadmill. And the fact that vets even suggest introducing your dog to a treadmill, do you know better than a trained vet??
dude i was watching her very carefully while my friend filmed it besides it could be just as dangerous on a real walk. In this video it is the first one i had her off the leash and if you watch my other one my dog is doing very good.i also filmed it further away so it didnt look as fast. The treadmill was only going at 3.8km

Trust me a westy only does what they want to do, if they didn't like it, they wouldn't do it. Look at how his tail is wagging, which shows he is loving it (probably the attention as well), If he had done it before and not liked it, you wouldn't get him anywhere near the treadmill. Bit like trying to put our late westy in the shower....not a chance, just a chase around the house until we caught him :D.
