@BIGC1324 by plugging the speaker jack into the headphones socket on your laptop/computer. The music is all controlled through the computer so the decks themselves don't actually produce any sound. Hope this helped :)

@cfield03 Well for one, most people prefer physical buttons, knobs, and levers to a touch screen. I'm guessing you're a crappy DJ because any decent one knows that you need to be able to control two things at once. Unless you can afford a fancy multitouch screen and Win7, this is impossible. And even then, I don't know if VDJ even supports multitouch.

Lastly, if you showed up to my bar with nothing but a laptop, I'd kick your sorry ass out before you even had the chance through the door.

@IAppleJ well you make a playlist, then use the midi controller to navigate the songs you plan to mix, often when you dj, you dont have the space for an extra keyboard and mouse, and it means ur hands are free to do mixing rather than searching.

@kostaszar4 I've got one and its great and very reliable. Sadly you can't connect it to anything but a computer there is another Hercules model that my friend just got that can do that though. I'm also sure that it works with Windows 7 because that's the only operating system I have. Hope that helped

The e2 is entry level and you need a separate sound card for headphones , but it does have pitch control and special effects . For about $100.00, it's more than worth it. This little baby comes with virtual DJ included, so hey don't knock it to much. It's great for a practice mixer not for gigs but can be used if its all you have. will not fail on you as long as your laptop or PC won't crash.

@michaelgiannes my homie has the mk4 and i have the mp3 e2 . samething really besides there is no audio in or audio output on the console it self which really doesnt make that big of a deal. as for durability idk i have only had my a week or two but if you buy from guiatr-center you can get 2 yeaR EXTENDED warrentee for an extra 25 bucks. my friend with the mk4 dropped it once and it broke lol. pretty much you pay the xtra 100 for audio outputs and inputs.
