No . Preactically to face real life opponents you need a Modem for Internet connection and the game to have that function . Arcade Mode just creates virtual players with different names :D

No , in the Arcade -mode the game creates players with different names such as xxDestroyerxx for example . I don't have an internet connection for my PS2

No , Arcade Mode is a Tekken 5 mode where you earn' moneys in order to customize you're character .

Those names and characters are created by the game :)
