  • My son got into west coast swing and competed around the States...he sure didn't get his dancing skills from me...I'm two left feet.....lol

  • She's fantastic! I couldn't take my eyes off her pink sash. Accents her hips and movements perfectly.

  • they are teaching in Stockholm sept 3-5 2010... and I'll be there! *happy*

  • what is the second song in the mix that they're dancing to?

  • absolutely beautiful, and the dancing was pretty good too.

  • i've fallen so in love with this style!! it's sexy, classy, precise...everything rolled into one...dammit, is 33 too old to start learning?

  • @Skoalcwby77 Nope. West Coast Swing is all levels.

  • perfection!

  • I love it. I absolutely F-ing love it. This was my first time seeing this routine and I think it's one of my favorites that they've done. ❤

  • I need please pass me the songs that appear in the video, it is urgent, I thank you answer me. Thanks

  • this is exactly why I want to find a guy who can dance, so we could do stuff like this randomly :)

  • Comment removed

  • Que f.o.d.a

  • I think that its the same song through out the whole dance, but theyve remade it some. some routines need it, and alot of dancers make music match their needs! anyway, its freaking awesome.

  • awesome dancing.. grimy old diner music.

  • You guys are great. Dude your partner makes this routine look sexy as hell. Keep it up, I could watch you dance all day long and then some

  • 2nd song please ???

  • They are amazing, but I hate the music so much that I just cannot finish watching this routine.

  • so instead of complaining, how bout turning your sound off? :)

I love this so much! So beautiful!

  • BADASS!

  • Does anyone know what song it is they're dancing to?

  • baby what you want me to do?

    etta james

  • me arrepia. ♥

  • love it

  • Just about my favourite routine of theirs. I actually haven't seen anything they have done that I didn't like, but this is my current favourite. As always, fantastic musicality, choreography and sense of fun!

  • fantastic!

  • those spins would be very difficult is you don't spot the right way. she's fantastic! i've loved this dance since i saw it a while ago.

  • this chick has THE PERFECT figure!...They dance with such soul...ahhh, i love it!

  • That girl could move!!! And she's thick!!! Nice!!!

  • Woo - thats incredible

its so nice to see a dancer with curves!

The first song is 'baby what you want me to do' - etta james and the second is 'baby whats wrong' by Jimmy Reed

    xoxo

  • ah i could watch these two all freaking day

  • What fantastic dancers! I also love that she is woman with curves just goes to show you don't have to be a size 0 to be a great athlete.

  • song called baby what do you want me to do - the part the woman sang

  • black outfits, bad choice, they blend in to much. should be spruced up i think.

  • I kinda thought that too, but they look good either way.

  • heck yes! awesome dancing. love the outfits. and whats the name of the song you guys used?

  • love it

  • <3 svenja loves it .

  • i am fucking blown away!!!! this is the coolest thing ive even seen!!!!!!! and what is the song theyre using?

  • whats the second song

  • baila salsa, y simplemente este tipo de representacion es espectacular...muchas gracias por brindar tan buen material.

  • this is really good

  • perfect!

  • buenisimo!! me encanto!!! felicitaciones!!

  • holly ........................!!! Wow I love the way they move together, I would've been dizzy by now tho, so many complex turns. She moves good.

  • i would kill them and absorb their dancing talent....but then i couldn't watch them...lol

  • Shes moves really suductively =)

    name of song?

  • the first song is etta james -baby what you want me to do.

i dont know the second sorry

  • a while back i saw a few videos of tatiana that i cant find now. tatiana and jordan dancing to to dirty pop , and tatiana and benji dancing to a britney song, i think, or she had a green shirt and kind of looked like britney spears in her crazy video. Anyone have those vids????

  • i wish that i could move like her. now that was sexy

  • Fantastic! So much precision and control. I'm completely envious of anybody who can dance like this!

  • sorry my bad, it´s not. I was still thinking of the first.

  • Baby what´s wrong is by etta james

  • I dont think iv ever seen so much spinning with other dancers like i have with these

  • The second song is called -baby what's wrong-, but i dont know the artist

  • What really makes your dancing the most spectacular, for me, is how you pull every intricacy of the music into your choreography. That, and your contrasting movements and snap. Bravo!!!

  • what is the song and artist of the first song? thanks. nice dancing too :D

  • The first is "Baby, What do You Want Me to Do" by Etta James. No idea on the second.

  • Mardawg-You may be thinking of East Coast Swing (Jitterbug) or also Lindy Hop which are both very energetic/upbeat. West Coast can be upbeat but also very slow and suave. All forms of swing are tons of fun & great to watch, just in different ways.

Love Tatiana & Jordan, amazing performers!

  • East Coast Swing, Jitterbug, or Lindy Hop, are old school (I love them myself) and have a more wholesome look. This couple is dancing West Coast swing, which definitely has a more sexy, edgy styling. Whether or not you like the styling, experts will tell you that it is technically more advanced than the old forms. Swing refers to the syncopation in the music, this music definitely has a swing beat, and it is definitely swing dance, just different from the form you know.

  • Any more ideas on what the second song is?

  • oh yyyyes! baby

  • :O love themmm

son geniales geniales... tiene un fan en Chile!

  • Wow amazing. Greetings from Delaware

  • gotta love the chemistry between the two of them. god, i wish i could dance at least half as good as that. LOL

  • What I love about this is that although it has obviously been choreographed, it just looks like everything is natural and spontaneous, brilliant Dancers!

  • Absolutely incredible! The choreography is jaw dropping! I love it when the choreography makes the music come to life, and the when the melody is transformed into movement. It motivates me to keep practicing but at the same time makes me realize how far I have yet to go.

  • I loved watching this video. I am really excited to see dancers just like this at Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing this summer. Come check out my channel for more information!

  • the first song i know it´s Etta James - Baby What Dou You Want Me To Do. but the other is still unknown for me..

  • I'm not sure who is singing the first song but the original song is 'Baby, what's wrong' by Jimmy Reed.

  • what´s the name of the second song??

  • Quite talented !! I am going to keep my eye on this couple!!

  • tatiana is amazing! and just to bring it to your attention, you dont have to be thin to dance. being a full woman and dancing is more challenging a really thin, because you can't do lifts! and they won first place without any lifts! great job!!

  • Totally cool!

I wish I could dance, well maybe in the summer.

  • awesome, anyon know the names of the songs used ??

  • Wow, she's an amazing dancer and she's really pretty. It's nice to see full-figure dancers :)

  • You took the words right out of my mouth. It's so great to see a REAL woman dancing.

  • OMG! I bet she's in waaaay better shape than any one person sitting on their rear typing responses to youtube vids!! Jerk! She's HAUTE!!!

  • "the girl is too stocky. " lololol so stocky girls aint allowed to dance eh? id say they are both exceptional dancers and the "stocky" one is quite attractive too.

  • I love how everyone is a critic yet few of us could even pull of these amazing moves.

  • muy, muy, muy buenos no puedo dejar de verlo son geniales!!! realy good job.

  • This is classic division. Benji and Heidi are more in the Showcase division.

  • I wasn't making a reference to one division or another, just that the Benji and Heidi one is more fun to watch as a viewer. These are great dancers, but the choreography just isn't as entertaining. Spinning 10 times is obviously harder than spinning 5 times. Is it more fun to watch? I didn't feel it isn't.

  • "Obviously" is a very non-obvious word! There is a coolness about the classic division that I miss in the showcase... so I find infinitely more entertaining the five pirouettes-let's-have-fun than the twenty affected pirouettes.

  • thats so true

  • really well done ....they been dancin a while

  • these are 2 really good dancers

  • that was reallyy good the dance coreeography went well with the moosic

  • Ristickgirlz how can you say that? COMPLETELY DIFFERENT musciality required for this song

  • i definitely agree 100% with Catsutube... she's just got a different confidence about her and i think overall they're just more appealing to watch

  • I love them, they're awesome. I've seen the video of Benji and Heidi too (who are also awesome), but I've watched this video way more. I think Jordan and Tatiana have better musicality and are just more fun to watch.

  • Suck? Hardly! They've won first in their division (which is different than Benji & Heidi's Showcase, btw) almost every time they've competed in the last 8 or more years.

  • I thought Benji and Heidi came in first place......

  • They did, in the showcase division. This is the classic division. They're two different things.

  • ooooo ok thank you....i was so confused

  • I do not understand why the girl is not fit through these pants and let free his legs?I stress the most serious to use a nice short dress

  • Nope. In WCS most of the women wear pants, unless it is WCS in a country dance competition.

  • I love it, but it doesn't quite seem to be swing. It should at last have a bit more of a lindy feel to it...not the same....just it's too smooth or something.

  • this is west coast swing which is supposed to be smooth! if you want to watch something more lindy the look at lindy not west coast.

  • I know that, and i have.

    ...but even so...

  • yo quiero bailar asi,son los mejores

  • Waoh!

  • OMG i love it <3

  • Whta's the name of the song ?

  • Etta James: Baby, What You Want Me To Do

  • She has awesome Stage Pressence!! this was great!

  • I like the way Tatiana dances. She's very slinky with her movements.

  • Wow! That's good stuff.

  • True dance artists/professionals/creative. Ur movements are fine/smooth/detailed. It really is breathtaking & esp. gr8 2C how u captivate ur audiences & leave ppl standing/cheering. I hope more ppl will respect & appreciate each dance & dancer & b4 making crazy uneducated statements, they shld try WC Swing. Ppl like J&T have been dancing 4 years, travel the world & spend hours a day on their routines & training. Luv ur work J&T, keep it up & can't wait 2 C U both back in Aust.!

  • lets see, i am not uncultured i know who mr.manning is(great dancer, one of the original lindy hoppers)but there is a difference in east and west coast dance styles

  • I counted 20 seconds max. of swing (maybe 5 swing outs); the remaining is not swing.

  • formidable feeling super classe n'arreter pas de danser .

    ps name the song,tank you

  • does she always have to wear pants?

  • song name ?

  • song name ??

  • I always wanted to dance , but thought I couldn't because of my figure. I'm 17 years old, 5'2", and almost 140 pounds. Definitely would never make it in ballet. Then I discovered West Coast Swing! Yay! I love Tatiana, she is soo cute, I wish I could look like her!

  • amazing

  • if she was not fit to be in the competition she wouldn't there, she's an amazing dancer. you dont know anything about dancing if all you're concerned about is her size, they have amazing talent and they deserve to be where tehy are.

  • Stupid morons who say she's fat or whatever are the reason people have eating disorders. I think she's beautiful, many women would kill for her figure. Great dance!

  • she looks like a great dancer i just think she should have wore a brighter out fit to make her stand out more she has great posture though and her spin offs are almost exellent!!! =] keep it up x x

  • Obviously these fag boys don't know much about women. This gal is framed wider or more robust with a nice figure. If she were fat her waist would not be that much smaller than her hips. You can easily see she is solid and not flabby.

  • great

  • If you think this young lady is fat, then there is something wrong with you. She's perfect. And she dances very good.

  • sry? who cares if she is a bit big? She dances like a goddess! WOW

  • stupid

  • watch her dancing, not her fat. :)

  • i know this artist is etta james but what is the song called?

  • she spins like a top... amazing.

  • wow..that was very cool

  • that was so cool.

  • veeery niiice :)

  • Nice.

  • they are awsome

  • The dance style certainly leans toward latin, but the music certainly is swing music. I can't seem to identify the basic that they're using so I'm going to have to assume it's 8 count lindy, seeing as how that's about as advanced as they get (as far as I know). Either way, they most certainly make an amazing team and deserved that medal.

P.S. I love aerials, but 9/10s of the ones I've seen were performed really badly.

  • West Coast swing is about syncopations, so the basic can be hard to see if you're not familiar with it. Also, patterns can be a 6- or a 8-count.

Danced, it has a very strong swing feel, though because it can be danced to anything with a good 4/4 it can be stylized to a variety of music.

Some say it's too smooth to be swing, but like West Coast, we frequently see lindy that is very smooth in the upper body while the feet burn the floor.

If you enjoy lindy, try it. They're both fun dances.

  • actually west coast swing is more romantic and has no flip and more spins. i no this because my grandma use to dance west coast swing.

  • you are an idiot

  • This is actually swing. It is West Coast Swing. Most of the general and generic dance population only knows or recognizes East Coast swing. Mostly because it's the most well known from the 30's and 40's and because the music is much more "big band." West Coast Swing however is still very popular but can be danced to a lot more types of music.

Learn up on your swing before you make a comment like "they are very good dancers but call it what it is people this is not Swing."

  • arcticnut83: most of these idiots think swing is limited to whatever few steps they have been taught, whatever form of swing that may be.

  • It's nice that you've learned so many variations. Why stop there? You should also learn West Coast. You might find that it's much more in the swing family than you think at present. I added it to my swing repertoire and found that I liked it very much.

The fact that it transfers well to modern music can confuse people about its origins, but it's an old dance as well.

Frankie Manning - Shim Sham, etc.. Don't assume that we're "uncultured" simply because we know how to West Coast.

  • Well I applaud you for your civility It's much appreciated I guess I'm just a traditionalist and don't see the swing in it.

  • I try to keep it civil. :-) I don't think that a difference of opinion needs to turn into a flame-war as it often does on YT.

I can see how you would like the culture and style of the other swing dances; they're more nostalgic.

Since you like so many dances, I really think that you'd enjoy W Coast once you got some experience with it. It has lots of room for embellishment and personal flare. There are still lots of clubs where it's danced to old-school blues. That might be more your taste.

  • like arcticnut said, THIS IS SWING. West Coast. i personally specialize in East Coast, but i love me some West Coast as well. besides, if this wasn't swing, then WHY would they be getting FIRST PLACE in the West Coast Swing US Open Championship? please...brains are marvelous tools, my friends...

  • Some of the smoothest armwork I've ever seen. I still say this stuff should be called West coast shag, because it is too smooth. Swing dancing isn't some kind of smooth walking dance. It's pretty , but it isn't swing.

  • This is swing and even if you called it west coast shag, Shag is still a swing dance.

  • I love this couple!! I 1st saw them on 30secs to fame and i fell in love with west coast swing ever since!! But sadly..cant find west coast swing teachers here in PJ that are willing to teach. Plz let me know if anyone knows of any..Cheers!!

  • i agree with ohmygeeitslee ...the girl does have a figure which i am glad of . i am tired of seeing stick figures basically or people thinking you have to be very skinny or super model type to do this or anything else in general...what matters here is ...CAN THEY DANCE? ..and they can...good work! :)

  • I was a swing and Rock and Roll dancer fifty years ago and lifts were only seen in old jitterbug movies nobody did them in general dancing. Real dancing speaks for itself lifts are not needed. This dancing is superb.

  • Awesome Job! Everything was perfectly n'sync & smooth, the way swing should be! :)

  • You guys are awesome dancers! However I will never understand why this Westcoast Disco dance of Skippy Blair's is called "Swing." It's not derived from East Coast or Lindy Hop (although since the late 90's it borrows from Lindy). This is a late-entry disco dance from the early 80's. It's great, it's beautiful, it's not swing. Keep up the good work!

  • im glad yall won 1st place.

    yall had awesome music.

i love the fact that the girl has a figure!

It makes the dance b/c she has a figure and knows how to use it. I love her hair & her attitude.

  • I just love how they use every little bit of music. They make it look so easy. I can't believe how she spins and she makes it look like nothing even happened. What balance! Very creative. They are addictive to watch.

  • i lyke the foxtrot better(dunno if they do it, dont care) i think it's the best dane and its about the only one i can do ;P

  • yes, they can do foxtrot.

  • live ass moves

  • genial!!! no se me ocurre otra palabra.

  • That is Etta James singing the song. She is a great blues singer
