Do you know of any cases that'll fit with the extended battery? I heard rumors about Lg Revolution Shell Holster Combo's case (the gray one on amazon) being able to fit but have yet to actually see that. Is there any way you could try and get that case and post results?

I just ordered a new extended battery and cover for my phone but can't find a protective case for, any suggestion? both companies Metro PCS and Verizon should get a case for the phone once we replace the original battery.

@managua1955 As far as I know, there are no protective cases for the extended battery, but I've had mine for months and it doesn't have a scratch on it, so It's pretty tough.

You can get the same battery at the Verizon website for only $25, I just ordered mine, you have to order the battery for the LG revolution witch is 100% compatible with the Esteem.

@HBZ3nt3rTainm3nT No, it's just a battery. it doesn't have any kind of booster or anything like that in it. The fastest way to charge the battery is to turn the phone off, short of that you can switch to WiFi or put the phone in Airplane mode to speed up charging.

@Vickdadancer The only times you'll see the LED lights are A: When charging you'll see a red LED, when charged it will be Green. B: When your screen is locked(off) and you get an email it will be a green LED, when you get a text/picture message it will be a blue LED.

@DATGIRLBRITTANY94 There is no Setting for the LEDs... The only times you'll see the LED lights are A: When charging you'll see a red LED, when charged it will be Green. @elbayames41 I haven't looked into pouches, but if you could find one that stretched a little you should be fine. I had a pouch for my old Samsung Finesse that had elastic sides on it that I probably could have fit two phones in, so you just have to look around and see what you can find.

I purchased this phone about 3 weeks ago.  Love It. Some criticisms would definetly be the battery life. I bought a case and belt looped pouch for this phone. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a case or pouch for the extended battery. For the Esteem or the Revolution. Help??? If someone knows where to find an extended battery case and pouch, id be very grateful. Another negative for me is the sound quality of media playback. It sux. My blackberry was much louder than this

@dethiphoptv I just downloaded glow hockey and i have no problems with lag, do you run a lot of widgets on your home screens? Just because a phone has a 1GHz processor doesn't necessarily mean that it will never lag. If you have a bunch of large apps and widgets already running you'll use that processor up pretty quickly.

@alex20082118 Yeah, the extended battery isn't for everyone. Look in to the charging dock with extra battery, it's about $10 more, but battery-life-wise it's the same thing, you just need to swap batteries.

@JohnRaymondWilliams I haven't seen any cases that fit the phone with the extended battery, I'm sure there are pouches that it will fit in, but that's not quite the same. I have heard some people say that they got a cheap standard sized gel case and then just cut slits in it to allow the battery pop out.

@2424lil The standard battery drains kinda fast, but the 4G is only part of it, the large screen an 1GHz processor contribute a lot to that. The Extended battery is a beast and it takes a lot to kill it.

@msparis275 The SD card will work in any phone, but you'll want to back up any photo's music or any other files like that you have on the card as you will need to format the card to work in a new phone. I always back up this files to my PC and then transfer them back to my phone after I format the card in the phone.

I just have a quick question. I don't get any notification lights except for the red light when it's charging and the green light when it's fully charged. Is there somewhere that I have to configure it to come on??

@joshrey789 This could be for a couple reasons.

1. The lights only appear when the screen is asleep.

2. Mail and Message lights won't appear when phone is charging, only charging lights will.

3. You may need to run the firmware update from LG: available from LG or your phone should get it automatically.

Okay just to let you know I went out in get the LG Esteem Multimedia Charging Dock the only thing bad I can say about it is that you don't get to charge both the phone and the standard battery that's included other than that it's good hope this helps someone

@209gloves You might want to look into the LG Esteem Multimedia Charging Dock SKU: EAY62410501 it's $10 more but includes the media dock and a standard battery. it allows you to charge the phone and the second battery at the same time. That way you can use the standard battery cover, and have a spare battery that can be charged simultaneously.

@swaggsolo95 Actually, the battery cover that comes with the extended battery is exactly the same as the Revolution, speaker grill and all, they just printed MetroPCS on it instead of VZ. So, any Revo case would be the same. Speak is plenty loud with this cover.

@msparis275 True, any case that fits the phone with the standard battery won't fit with the extended battery, some people have said they use a gel case and cut slits in them so the extended battery can push through. The way I look at it, the replacement cover is cheap and I consider it my case. Glad the video helped!

@operezb I haven't tried any mobile hotspot apps, my phone is the mobile device I use outside the house, my laptop usually stays home on WiFi. As far as doing a video about itt, that probably won't happen just because doing it can get your service terminated, and Metro is said to be cracking down on that sort of thing.... I don't want to show people how to do something that can potentially get them in their service cancelled and then have them hold me responsible. Sorry.

@tameika0907 I was actually looking into the Dock, looks pretty cool, and I didn't realize it came with a spare battery. If you're going to keep the phone in the dock as a multimedia device when not in use as a phone, you might be OK with just that and the spare battery, Basically the extended battery is just a spare battery built right in. If swapping the battery isn't a big deal for you I think it's a great idea.
