  • this guitar sounds awesome even without putting gibson 57 humbuckers in it.

  • Also im kinda new to this field, how do you produce such a distinct blues sound out of you guitar?

  • @TheBrandtus

    Thanks!

I just play the scales and pretend I'm singing.

Also, listening to other blues guys helps alot!

  • Wow!! This is too cool! I absoloutly love how you play with such great rythm! Im just really starting to get into guitar and i really am wanting to learn the blues, do you have any tips or suggestions?

  • @TheBrandtus

    Thanks!

I just listen to all the guys like BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, Buddy Guy, Mike Bloomfield and it sort of rubs off , then you can of add your own twist to it.

  • @TheBrandtus

I like alot iof the Rockabilly, 50's, 60's Guys too,

    Chet, Merle Travis,

  • Thanks a bunch, guy!

  • @aladafar

    For sure,

Glad I can be of little help? :)

  • Last contact for a while, kind Sir! I want to make sure I'm not a pest.

Appreciate your input and really dig your playing style. I think you're saying the Ibanez is warm sounding compared to the Dot. I'm playing my Strat through a Fender Blues Junior, presently with no pedals. I'm guessing that the Ibanez can get "blues gritty" through the right amp setup and maybe with pedals, right?

I think the AS73 Artcore is beautiful, and I like it's looks without the pick guard!

    Thanks again.

  • @aladafar

    For Sure!

The Ibanez is a tone monster too, just alittle differnt then the Dot, Which is probably alittle heavier and more 335 like.

Both guitars can be made to sound excellant depending upong the settings.

I have a friend who bought an Artcore AS73 and just loves it but he's a Jazz Wes Montgomery type player too.

  • Thanks for the quick response! I've had a Guild D-50 for 25 years and also have a Fender American Strat HSS. I'm finally moving into learning and am taking Gibson's Learn & Master Guitar course and having a blast. I love the blues and the Gibson ES-335 but don't want to spend those bucks.

It will be a while before the course and I reach the blues section so I'm in no rush.

The Ibanez Artcore AS73 is as beautiful as the Dot. I'll look at both. You probably have both.

    If you had to choose...

  • @aladafar

    BOTH HAVE THEIR PLUSES,

    APPLES AND ORANGES.

The Ibanez is really warm sounding too.

  • Don't have an Epiphone Dot yet, but looking seriously at one soon. Which BurstBuckers did you install, the 1, or the 2 or the 3, or a combination of them?

    Awesome skills and phrasing.

Not mind blowing here, because that would be a small explosion!

  • @aladafar

    Thanks! :)

I used Burstbucker 2's for both!

    Epi Dots are nice!

Also, the Ibanez Artcores are nice too.

  • you are mind blowing at the guitar

  • @cannibalslayer13

Well, Thanks, I appreciate the comment and thanks for viewing :)

  • why i feel like such a noob now that i have the exact same guitar but i use it for emo/punk rock music?

  • @guitarcreep94

The imagination is the limit :)

  • Its a pleasure watching your videos, Always makes me happy, I think you have a great choice of chords and type of music and style. Thank you!

  • @Raxmole

    Thanks!

I think these Guitars are Excellant for the price.

    Very very nice!

    Versatile and easily modified too

  • Hey please answer me if you see this , I love to play blues and rock ( bb king to acdc ) and I`m thinking sg or Dot . thanks

  • @JesseYKM

    You Know!

    Both are Excellant! :)

For a more solid body, closer to the Les Paul sound, I'd go for the SG but The Epi Dot is Par Excellante!

    BB King

    Go for both!

  • @Stichfam Thank you sir , and I`ll get it as my birthday gift :D

  • @JesseYKM

    Happy BD :)

  • @JesseYKM Go with the dot but if I can offer you some advice..The quality varies..When you buy one look inside the F holes and check that the inside block running thru it has no gap between it and the body. Then check the tuners. Some arent in line..I own a Black one and I bought a lovely tailpiece from a company called AXERUS online for 13 pounds and I took of the chrome pick up covers and then fitted tele style controls..I own several guitars inc an old strat and a tele and I love the DOT X

  • @rexterrocks

    You know you're right!

A friend of mine bought one right after me and I think his is better, Go figure ?

    Thanks!

    I'll have to check,

  • @rexterrocks Thanks for those mate you ROCK!!

  • wish i could play mine like you play yours.

  • @dvdsmlprstylr

    You can :)

  • @Stichfam I'm guessing you mean if I learn how to play...or do you mean that you've watched my videos?

  • @dvdsmlprstylr
