I wear leggings with my jeans in the winter also...I like wearing them under destressed jeans in the winter when its chilly out side they add a splash of color and warmth :D i like wearing them with short short dresses too. that come about 2-3 inches about my knee and 3-4 inches below my rear if that makes sence :D lol

don't be ashamed of wearing leggins under the jeans in the winter. i wear them too. it's just too cold to be in jeans only so i wear them almost everytime. it's pretty cool actually if you ask me. in goes great with torn pants so try it. and i saw comments like it's inappropriate that girls who aren't skiny and everything wear them. thats not true at all. if you have a bigger butt just wear a cute sweater. it goes great together.

Usually I wear my plain black ones to go under tunics that run to short to wear alone. they are great cause they slim my legs. I try to avoid mid-calf ones. I also have jeggingg but as usual, not as pants. ;)

If you're pear shaped -- you need to find jeans that are straight leg, and go straight down from the thighs... mmm there's heaps of tips online for that sort of thing. =) I find it strange that you feel fat in jeans, yet you can wear leggins, which is essentially a second skin? @amieHERSELF but u know, there r not only jeans and leggings in the world, u can buy also normal pants (not made of denim) and u don't need to wear skinny jeans, there are lots of good cuts ;) But wearing leggings as pants is really awful (mostly if you r not so fit, because we can see your legs and bum like u were naked (as Crazee 108 said: it's like a second skin) so it"s the worst thing that u can do! If u want to wear leggings then wear it with a long top and other days wear simple pants.

My leggings that i wear with pants are a bit thicker than the rest of mine. If im wearing a longer top then i can wear the thinner ones. I have a cute basic quarter sleeve long form fitting dress ... and yes it is on the tighter side ... and I do wear them with leggings and I think it looks just fine. However my dress is plain so when I add a belt, boots and a long necklace it actually looks just right ... I think a form fitting dress and leggings is just fine as long as you accessorize it properly
