I think it seems as though when Helen is talking normally she seems very tired, kinda bored and depressed with life. She cracks a few jokes here and there 'No-one has confessed yet' etc. But for the most part she seems worn out. Perhaps being one of the younger children (she is Charlie most often) allows her to forget any depression, forget adulthood, forget the real world and experience the joy and excitement of being a child.
How on earth can some Psychiatrists think MPD is not real? It's a coping mechanism. The personalities are straight up telling you why they are there! Pure bollocks to think someone would subject themselves to this willingly.
It's such an intimate moment when you switch personalities, and especially so when she switches back to Helen because she's so conscious of herself, and so vulnerable. I almost don't want to see her in that moment of confusion followed by the dreadful realisation.

I do believe that child satanic ritual abuse is the product of imagination. People who experienced it were young in the 70's to mid 80's and that was the cultural boogie man at the time. Cutting does not equate sexual abuse. Cutting equates not having the personal language to express emotional hurt, ...it's easier to deal with real pain as opposed to emotional pain. People who cut themselves just don't know the words to express their hurt. That's all. Nothing more nothing less.

I wonder who the heck her parents/family are! she briefly mentions she has no real contact with family..obviously when they did this documentary it was more on her condition, than really pressing forward to find out what happened to her, she wasn't ready to really dig into her past so Ruth and the producers respected that.
DID is just psychiatrist term, in my term is called possession of some beings (7 beings in this case) who have deep empathy toward Helen (of what had really happened upon her) and trying to "protect" her ("protecting", depend upon each characters of the beings, some are destructive and some are helpful/productive like super super Adam)
I've watched all four sections of this story and I just have to say Ruth you are an amazing friend! How wonderful it must be to Helen and all of her others to know they have you on their side. I think they did great for not taking her to a mental hospital I don't see a reason why they would to that.. This story is so amazing and touching. It made me tear up at some parts and made me laugh at others. Something about this disorder seems intresting and somewhat fun to have many other people inside of you. My favorite ones are Adam, William, and Alex. They are so cute!
This is one of those documentaries where you can never be sure of the right way for her to move forward. Some would say that Helen is barmy and needs psychiatric care and attention for the rest of her life. Others would say that the personalities are 'put on' as a way of allowing her to move forward and be able to live the rest of her life. For me, it's about not associating Helen's condition with 'the norm'. Everybody is individual; therefore conditions will affect people in different ways.

I've watched all four sections of this story and I just have to say Ruth you are an amazing friend! How wonderful it must be to Helen and all of her others to know they have you on their side. While you may never get to the bottom of the abuse you accept them for who they are and that is truly amazing.
For those who think DID and ritual abuse are not real. You are more than welcome to come live in my head for a day.You will hear the children screaming and watch the flashbacks.

yes i totally agree with you or a programme similar along the same lines, but maybe with different programme name .... unfortunatelt vast majority of society does not want to believe or even to know that these programmes were and are very much real - far more real than the so called ' news programmes' we are all fed each and everyday by a censored system of showing only what they want us to see.... Controversial tv or edge media on channel 200 (sky uk) is the only acurate channel i know of ...

I think she already had the gun in her bag from home, i guess alex takes one everywhere. And a bible isnt gunna help in the slightest if their not religious which i dont think she is... oh and if someone took me to a church instead of shopping i'd probably cry. Just because religion helps you it doesnt mean it would help them, Ruth is really helping Helen and being a really good friend to her and you're saying she's a bad person because she's not as religious as you.

she wont ever lead a 'normal life'. thanks to her abusers. this is understandable if you understand the torment a person who has suffered sexual abuse as a child. I think the real truth in it is an enormous amount of children are suffering abuse at the hands of evil people (mostly evil men) and it needs to end - capital punishment for child-sex offenders and peodophiles - literally blow there fucking brains all over the place, they are incurable c**ts. like if you agree they should all be dead!

So... horrifying. It is indeed fascinating how the human mind acts in extreme situations, but what has been done to these children... is simply unforgivable. I really hope she recovers and spend the rest of her life in happiness and relief, away from the suffering she's still enduring. Wonderful documentary, thank you

I think they did great for not taking her to a mental hospital I don't see a reason why they would to that.. None of her personalities are crazy or something and I don't think she's crazy but she's kinda living 7lifes at once or something like that.I can't really say in english what's on my mind cause my first language isn't english but I hope u guys will understand me.

This story is so amazing and touching. It made me tear up at some parts and made me laugh at others. Something about this disorder seems intresting and somewhat fun to have many other people inside of you. My favorite ones are Adam, William, and Alex. They are so cute!

This is one of those documentaries where you can never be sure of the right way for her to move forward. Some would say that Helen is barmy and needs psychiatric care and attention for the rest of her life. Others would say that the personalities are 'put on' as a way of allowing her to move forward and be able to live the rest of her life. For me, it's about not associating Helen's condition with 'the norm'. Everybody is individual; therefore conditions will affect people in different ways.
