I went into foster care when i was 4 days old, I was a drug baby, but i was placed with a really nice family for a couple of months then they took me away from them, and put me back with my birthmother. My birth mother did meth and needle drugs and drank all the time, I was starved, whenever i got into the fridge to get something to eat she would poor the hottest of the hot sauses down my throught. I was abused terribly. My dad is and was a sex afender. I am now 13 rs. old and adopted.

I grew up in fostercare and this hits my heart. I remember not going to school because of cort and wanting to just go to school like a normal kid. You feel so trapped in the fostercare so it makes so much sense "I wanna fly away"

very moving video, I grew up in foster care myself from about a year old until i was around 11 yrs old, then adopted to an abusive woman. At 18 I left home and got into one abusive relationship then from that to two more of them. I now stay single and raise my son, I lost my other children to these people based on malicious lies from nutbar people who should not have had children of their own.

I'm a Sudetenland German my sister and I are the decedents of the Bohemian Crown. Many people in our country today who run things are part of this Bohemian Crown they are commonly known as the people of the New World Order. 30 years ago our bloodline was under Soviet control and maybe my family was picked to suffer do to the Red threat "Communism" but I know now that was all speculation we were good looking kids who would make good money for the government.

In the 80's my sister and I was taken from my mother and father my mom and dad were young and DSHS of Washington state put us in many homes my mom now is crazy my fathers a Skin head who hates the system My grandfather on my dads side died before I was 16 so I never was able to see him again they need to redo this whole system its really fuck up. Washington state has killed many kids in the system unilaterally and or by purpose and no one is blamed for it.

I am a Foster Child my self, I'm 32 years old now, But I went into states custody when I was 6 months old, From there on I was back and forth from foster to birth family. I was put up for adoption when I was 14 and by then nobody wants you, I got out of foster care when I was 19, I have fend for myself sence then.....

Honestly - re the system. I am a grandmother. My 3 grandsons are in foster care. The court has banned me from having any contact. The court separates ALL family from the children - and keeps the children in 'care" because it brings in funding dollars. The more children taken and placed - the more funding dollars roll in..

I don't think very much of the system.

I have listened to this song a few times already and I keep getting it stuck in my head. I can relate to this song because I lived in foster care and had some good ones but also some abusive ones. My husband and I are unable to have children of our own. I have always wanted to help kids who have been through bad experiences. Someday when we have a house of our own I want to be a foster mom or adopt.

I was a foster kid, too, but appreciate all the more how good my particular situation was: When I was about to start school I went from the orphanage to an elderly couple who, though childless themselves, had been foster parents for many kids over twenty years. I stayed with them until I was 18 and they let me stay on for a couple more years, but not for free because they couldn't afford that. I saved for college and the rest is history. I was lucky in comparison to the lives of some others.
