I complete disagree this film sucked balls very few part in it were tolerable excpet like the first 15 minutes.

There was this Obnoxious reiligous women who kept like preaching like on of those black preacher stertypes. Like hell fire and Brimstone.

hmmm really cool video. made me laugh. actually that song, was actually used in newgrounds or rather in a series that can be found in newgrounds and probably othersites. the series is called Xombie. and there was a scene where the music from the mist was used when it shows the apocalyptic world, zombies, zombie whale, zombie shark...etc. well i jsut wanted to point that out because i made that discovery while watching the mist. it's not a big deal though.

Ha great review The Mist definatley had to be one of the best horror movies I've seen in a long time. Such tension and emotion I was afraid of the whole movie the whole tim and there werent even that many 'boo'parts. THis had to be on e of the best horrors along with aDrag Me TO Hell.

Really liked the movie, took me by suprise and the ending was good as well. Now, the problem that some people seem to have with the military showing up just after the remaining survivors got shot by the leadcharacter gave the whole end a more tragic feel because I mean, what if he had just waited for a little while and he didnt have to kill his son and the other survivors.

Thats just my opinion though!

Let's face it: you get through that batshit crazy stuff in the market; you manage to get to the car without becoming something's dinner; you go out into the mist and you see a devastated world and then this GIANT CTHULU THING manages to not get you...for all you know THAT is the world now and SOMETHIGN is going to get you eventually. Most of us would be wishing to wake up from the nightmare....

I really liked The Mist, but one of my beefs with it was that they did not keep the original ending which was sort of a lost hope, uncertain future type ending as opposed to a sad, but there's hope ending. But that's not to say that the original ending didn't have hope either, if any of you recall Stephen King's last word in the novella (hope). It would have been interesting if Frank Darabont somehow incorporated Hartford into the film as well. But overall the film is still good.

You and me both. It would have been perfect had David killed his son and friends, and then walked into the Mist to be eaten. The last scene could have been a shadow of a monster. As it was, the world was saved, and there's no way the military took out that giant monster at the end, as well as the others. Total bullshit.

That might have been a concession to The Suits, not the screenwriter's intention. That scene wasn't in the novella, so why assume that it was meant to be there from the beginning? Many people judge a writer or director by how many movies they make, but how many really know how they get made and what they have to concede to in order for them to be made?

- the concept (depiction of mechanisms that lead ppl to ridiculous fanatism in times of fear)

- the rich world of creatures from hell with realistic animations.

-reference to "Starwars"

-The last scenes in the car and the ending
