  • Swift ripped off 5000 drivers out of the millington tenn acadamy. I got my CDLs 2007 and had to retest in 2010 because of there fraudulant bullshit. I spent almost 4000 on training not to mention the 1000 i spent on buying meals and other living expenses and the whole month without any income what so ever. Swift and the State of Tenn DMV can hug my fucking nuts. They didnt do the right thing when they should have when we all lost our CDLs because of there Bullshit sceaming.they should pay!

  • Yup you can always do better, as for me I like

The small mom and pop company's my self. But there is one company that's big but treats you like a small company and that's Florilli corp. out of west liberty ,IA

  • i started out with swift i have to say i love the experience of being solo truck to myself nobody to be in the back sleeping behind me farting all nite piss bottles laying around. ughhhh so glad im bout to go back out solo dang i cant wait.

  • Ya' all try STAR in Morton, IL for a start. Very fair company to begin with.

  • swift is a good starter CO for learning to drive, BUT,,,if they can ya ,,,your done you will not get another job anywhere,,,the word is terminated,,,unless it's a privet CO no one will touch a terminated swift driver,,,suck's you will not get any unemployment nada,,,so good luck out there,,,and be safe,,,

  • You go Girl!!!!

  • When I drove for swift back in the day I made 30 cents a mile And was never home and never paid for unloading time or delayed pay I now work for fed ex freight get paid 58 cents a mile on a dedicated 520 mile round trip run and am in bed everynite!!! Suck it swift!!

  • @Pnutt5100 Would you suggest Swift to beginning drivers? I'm in a decision between USA (Driver Solutions) or Swift. I see good and bad about both of them in my research.

  • It makes me want to quit Swift , but I've been saying that for six years. I've driven for two other big companies. it"s all the same. The large companies all have their perks and downsides, and most people don't understand that it is a business to make a profit. The employee are always at the end of their priority list.

  • Swift was pretty good to me, i went to there training school, drove for them about 28 months, now i found a local driving job here in Michigan.....thx swift!!!

  • @TheMrdetroit313rd where did you find the local driving job at in Michigan, I have been looking forever.

  • LOL, Newsflash see Edgar!

Nice vid Brenda. Way to keep it clean after the frustration too. Take note people how to depart in a civil way. Do not abandon your trucks or curse out the office. Be smart like Trucker47 and do it right.

Hope you found home at Sharkey!

In any case seem likes you may have reached peace either way. Anytime you finally do something your mind is set to do it's a powerful energizer and stress reliever. Congratulations.

    Take care

  • I trained at Swift, talk about a nightmare? My trainer had this Volvo that kept cutting off in the middle of my training, due to electrical problems-so they say. So we would be driving down the road and without warning, the damn truck would just cut off. so we would have to pull over on the side of the road, wherever we were and just wait until the truck felt like working again. this happened about 4 times all while i was training. The scariest was when we were in stuck in Arizona with no water

  • @tarrded Wow that was a nightmare I hope you got a better truck when you got done with training.

  • @tarrded my trainer wrecked on his first day! lol....and what was so funny he was just tellin me to watch my mirrors and then he makes a left on panola rd goin to the decatur terminal and side swipes a car and then had the audacity to try and get me to lie for him....he was a total douche bag....my first week of training was spent with his truck in the shop....tried to get a new trainer but they said it would be a while so i stuck it out with his stupid ass....was so glad to get off his truck

  • @ihaveaverybadcold i should have said he wreck on my first day of training.....not his first day

  • hey just wondering if your still with sharkey. i quit swift and just finishing orientation with sharkey so far im happy with what they sayin as long as they do what they say.

  • @haugsteds Yes im still with Sharkey and i'm loving it , i wish i would have known you were interested in Sharkey before hand so i could have refered you and got the referal bonus but oh well. welcome aboard!!

  • Just ran across your video. I left Swift in the Fall of 2008 and just wanted to say that was a good idea videotaping the interior of the truck. Swift screwed me so many ways along the way (just over 4 years) I figured it would be just like them to bill me for something when I left, so I took TONS of pictures of my truck. It was spotless inside and out, very unlike the way I received it. I'm happy to report that they didn't mess with me when I left! Hope things are well with the new company!

  • Oh this video brings back memories of when the bf and I left SWIFT. I love that truck! Damn how I miss those days! Hope the new company you are working for is treating you well!

  • no more companies like swift and jb hunt

  • i love this woman

  • Swift acronyms

    Sure Wish Ihada Faster Truck

    and swift backwards would be

    Two Faggots Ina White Semi

  • Drove for Swift 1yr 9 months..started in 94 That's when the trucks were governed at 57mph..imagine a trip from SC to El Paso

and then El Paso to Sunrise,FL at that speed..Loooonnngggg ride.. 15yrs exp now..

  • and thank you for giving me the backbone to see that there is life after Swift... cause there is. I've always said there are other jobs but just never DID IT, if you know what I mean. Time to set sail on my new job of leaving and moving on up in the business. Yeah it is a training company thats all they are. Since Jerry came back, its gone to heck in a hand basket big time. We all can learn from the experiences of hearing from other Swift drivers...

  • WAY TO GO!! I'm with them now and trying to leave, its not easy. I've been here for almost 6 years, doing vids now on my own youtube channel under dlstorminc about their idle policy and hometime that has gone 180. I'm cleaning my truck out this next hometime and going to turn the truck back in at Dallas next week. Working on going to USA Trucks, where life will be better. I too have experience of 8 years and dont need this. I'm overqualifyed for this company. now time to set sail... Congrats!

  • WAY TO GO! I left them in January and am now with a great company. I know how you feel. I felt like a huge weight had been lifted when I left.

  • did u work for the swift in gary if so they are sooooooooo full of s hit i hate i every even drove one mile for them ass holes

  • Swift isn't a good company anyway, none of them really are. I finally found a small local company that I really like.

  • A SWIFT GOOD-BYE HA, HA

  • DAMMIT girl way to go on 21 years. I got 32, will u MARRY ME ??? :D

  • Hey Brenda, where did you end up at? I got a new Kenworth T600, and it's by far the best tractor I have drove. There are so many companies out there so much better than Swift.

Good Luck, see ya out there,

    Nighthawk

  • I just trained 6 weeks for Swift and I want out.But damnit I need the experience.Good job Brenda.21 years WoW!

  • NO.

  • Did you do reseach on Swift before you went there? Did you talk to present drivers, former drivers etc. I know a guy who has been with Swift over 15 yrs. With 21 yrs exp. you should have a short lists of companies where your exp. will be a benefit for both you and the company that you'll be driving for, Swift,JB Hunt,CR England etc.,what do they have in common? They all have former drivers who curse them and present drivers who praise them. Good luck

  • Exactly! One of my homegirls is a beginner, but she loves the company. So does her trainer who has a little more experience (I honestly can't say how much).

I'm going to truck driving school this month, and I'll go with Swift if they're paying decently *and getting me some experience*. I gotta get my start somewhere!

  • Im sorry if you think that CR England or Knight are better than Swift. I got my start at CR England and had to quit, they are the biggest rip off of a trucking company i've come across. I'm assuming you haven't been driving long "volvo 3231". And to everybody that has something bad to say about how swift treats there drivers, you probably deserved it for bad attitude.

  • I heard the same thing about CR England. According to my Swift homegirl, one of her classmates went with CR England and is waiting on a truck. The pay is terrible as he's waiting. I really haven't heard too many good things about CR England.

Actually, every company has good and bad comments, but I've heard more bad than good on CR England. I shall not be applying.

  • Thanx For THe Video Brenda, I really Like It,

and yes SWifT is just for starters, i had think about it to, they are more good companies like Knight, England and more. Thanks For dedicating this Video To me,Thanx.

  • if u had 21 years of experience, why the hell would u go work for swift?! you should know better

  • Did the truck they had you in have a fridge in it?

  • i did 6 months with those assholes (your just a truck number)and that was enough. glad you escaped.

  • Glad u quit! I wonder how this company can still stand together.I worked for them too and after i got my training and experience, i quit too once the truck broke down!Glad i did because it's a company that has no respect whatsoever for their most valuable asset:DRIVERS.

  • were are you working now? you kept your truck clean, not pets on the trucks?

  • way to be

  • i love the way u talk!!!and i agree with u

    i will go after u

  • WILL DO . THANX

  • It's not for beginners if you get on a dedicated account. I drove for Swift for 3 years on Tecumseh Dedicated, made a ton of money, and got home each and every weekend.

  • really?, i'm a Gorilla, and I'm looking for paid training.

  • Congrat's Brenda!!! You got that right...Swift is for beginner's. You don't need that after all your experience.

  • Where gunna work now until you have another job Youl be a Bum

    A trucking Bum

  • Good Luck w/ finding the "right fit" jobwise, Brenda. I worked for JB for 5 1/2 doing local dedicated, I left, worked for two other companies, and then went back to JB running local dedicated. So, maybe you'll find a job like that...where you can get home every day, or night. Keep on smilin'!

  • probably has a good chunk of change saved up though.

  • you go GIRL, I aint never seen a Trucking Company worth staying with more than a couple years, they aint none... SWIFT Your FIRED !

  • Amazing spelling twotimes.

  • Hey Brenda,

I hope you find greener pastures, elsewhere home-girl !!! GOOD LUCK !!!

  • thank you very much. im workin on it. Brenda

  • I'm starting Swift academy the first week of feb, one question: you have to bring you're own tv and stuff?????

  • yes

  • way to go. blessings on your tavels to the next company

  • Good 4 u...Horses 4 courses..Looks like SWIFT suits some..but can sorta see why they have the name 4 havin alotta new/inexperienced drivers.Good luck where ever ur at!****

  • Good luck with your next job!!

    Tomas

  • well hope you have better luck on the next job. hope to see more videos at your next one.

  • THANX

  • Buh bye SWIFT! You were swiftly out of there and rightfully so!

  • YOU KNOW IT

  • Good Bye to Swift!! This is a good example of a really good driver that has to show the real world what is like to be out on the road and decide to quit one of the Largest Trucking Companies in the USA.

Where are you from? I drove for 10 years... Do you know where your going to be going next? I am now going to WyoTech in Laramie (a School). I am taking classes in Diesel Mechanics... Just do a GOOGLE search of WYOTECH.

  • any idea where you're going next?

  • YES

  • where then

    we need this new's

  • I don't know who swift is but this is a great example of how to leave any situation that isn't working. No hard feelings, admit your not happy and say good bye. Well done.

  • to bad that didnt work out

hope all goes well for you brenda

    keep safe

  • THANK YOU!

  • SURE WILL.THANX.
