If we close our minds to what is going on, we have no hope of solving the problems in the world today.
All of what is going on in the world today has been done before and it worked, and they are doing it again. One thing I have to say is wrong in the Muslims faith is the honor killings that must stop, none of us is perfect but that is a crime. In times of war things will always get bad, but it's better to prevent it, in the first place.

The reason why Muhammad disaproved the killing of women and children during those ghazawats was because that caused a monetary loss as they were going to be sold as slaves for money and it was an unnecessary and unprofitable death. But as I quote, during an attack, if women and children die it's ok because "they are from them".

Sahih El-Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 256: Narrated As-Sab bin Jaththama: The Prophet passed by me at a place called Al-Abwa or Waddan, and was asked whether it was permissible to attack the pagan warriors at night with the probability of exposing their women and children to danger. The Prophet replied, They (i.e. women and children) are from them (i.e. pagans).
