I really do hope this series is a success and totally proves me wrong, but I think I am critical of it because it is the first of its kind, and it better be good because it could WORSEN things rather than help things. Millions of dollars were spent on this, and for it to be a failure could delay future projects by others in this area. I love Fr. Barron, but we'll see if this is a homerun or not.
I commented on another clip, but this one is exactly the sort of, frankly, waste I have been talking about. Such a waste of footage and time. Instead of telling us, SHOW us what you are talking about through STORY. Don't just walk down a path and say some words, find a story in the world, with actual human actors catch it on camera, and let the story be the means to get your message through (with some narration, of course). Don't let the humans and the scenery be backgrounds!
Fr. Barron nailed so many points. To live everything he said here takes a lifetime...so let's start today because as St. Francis said, "Let us begin anew because as of today I have done nothing." That is truly the spirit of poverty that leads to spiritual freedom.
Very amazing and true what he is saying. The same thing I learned in Islam. that is the real joy and fulfillment.

@BalladoftheWindfish When I mean actors, I don't mean professional actors. I just mean people who are generally acting in the world.
I dunno. I guess we'll see the final product. These are just my first impressions.
