Pareng Lut has already started lining up new world symphony and 1812 but he wants to do spanish fantasy by the Blue Devils first before anythingelse. We have a lot of jazz music coming up and we will excite philippine drum corps fans next summer. You will see my new modern front ensemble instruments.

Unfortunately they are out of town the whole week performing in Tacloban City w/ the entire crew of the City Mananayaw Delegation.They are heading back home on july 1st. This will be their 2nd invitation from the Governor of Tacloban.Thanks for the inquiry.

My son a snare drummer of the 12th time DCI World Champion Blue Devils is teaching this corps. He's working closely w/ our drum caption head. We will go back for a follow up session. I don't know how you can find time to march w/ our corps? Drum Corps activities in PI are 12th month period. Way different from US where tour officially begins in May thru first week of September while DCA finals is scheduled right after DCI finals. We will welcome you if you have the time to do it.

Hello Delsol27..im a filipino born and raised in canada..im 24 and ive had experience with marching bands..we have a marching band called philippine heritage band which i am recently in and marched for 10 years..and last year i have marched senior drum corps which is DCA that follows after DCI with Blue Devils, Cadets etc....i was wondering..if the new 27th Lancers can recruit me..im just curious if that would actually work or if its possible..

I sent your video upload to our brass caption head to copy your music. He turn around and transpose it to a Key of G bugle. Wait until they finish earth, wind & fire "September", you guys played it in one of your encore performance this year.

Our corps music director, corps music arranger, brass caption head and percussion caption head read notes. This is the 1st modern drum corps in the Philippines. If you watch videos of other corps in the Philippines they do have an inferior tonal sound quality. Our 1st generation corps is the first & only hall of famer corps in the Philippines.

So is it final now that the new 27th Lancers will not be able to participate? It's a great loss to the competition itself and the public as well since they will not have the chance to listen to the best drum corp sa Pinas. I'm sure that the 1st thing people will ask when they do attend the competition is 'Kasali ba ang Lancer or Nandiyan ba ang Lancer?'. Why not conduct a mini concert, featuring the new 27th, (as suggested by one of the posters) and I'm sure people will come to listen.

Yes it is final and clear at this time that the organizer connived with the participating corps to shove our corps in the summer competition. Instead of a competing corps they want us to be a guest corps. We will charge a fee to perform as a guest corps, perhaps 100,000 pesos or no performance. This is one way of getting back at them but we know they can't pay us that kind of money.

Now that everything is clear that the organizer of this summer competition connive w/ the participating corps to block the entry of the new 27th Lancers resulting to a resignation of one of the true spirit & loyal family of Ship 3. This is a sad & tragic beginning for PI. Drum Corps. Organizer secretary caught lying telling us that the recent meeting is intended for organizer & its committee when in fact it was a press conference announcing all participating corps! What a low down cover up.

Thanks & we need to make a big noise about this latest news in PI Drum Corp. Let the organizer go back to the table and look at their decision for not allowing a brand new corps "the new 27th lancers" to compete. They can't allow these 10 corps to hand pick their opponents & dictate how to run this event. We want an honest/clean competition where judges cannot be bought. Spirit of San Nicolas is bringing-in Mayor Lim of Manila so this mean politics in the making. No politics in Drum Corps ok!

I was really happy to read that there will be a DBC summer competition (April 2009) dahil I will be in Manila for my annual vacation. But then, when i read Mr Delsol's remarks regarding participants boycotting the event if The New 27th Lancers will participate eh hindi na yata ayos. Its really unfair. Ganoon na ba talaga sila ka-insecure sa 27th? They should let the people hear what the New 27th has to offer and refrain from unprofessional action. Mabuhay ang New 27th Lancers.

I am glad that there are postings on youtube dedicated to the great 27th Lancers. My father and my two uncles were members of the band when they were in high school (70s). I used to dream of joining the band when I was a kid, hehehe, but I guess I didn't have the time. But, nevertheless, for me this is the greatest DBC in the Philippines. My son is really proud and happy about the development of every individual battery players considering that he only spent 2 weeks of teaching you guys what modern drumming is all about. He wants all of you to strive hard & go to the next level do the best you can to achieve the advance skill thru constant communication with him on line. He's willing to come back once again to continue what he started. Do your drum exercises everyday and watch him at the next 2009 winterguard & DCI season.
