Good question. You can use smart sharpen(SS) but I was trying to get across how to do it differently.
I chose to do a video on High Pass(HP) becuase any areas in the image which is not an edge are not touched. Whereas SS has a lot to configure, I personally got better results with underwater photos compared to SS. Also, HP is an undestructive edit (new layer). I suspect this may spark a debate on which is best? I guess this is down to personal preference, but very good question!
