i'm suposed to go there on December to work.Is it an interesting place? Like St petersburg or Moscow? i wanted a place to learn a lot of Soviet union History, as a historian I'm really interested on the subject.Could anyone help me? Is it also a good place to party??
spent a lot of time in that city in the early ninties just after perestroike,was wonderful place great food great people, really lovely part of russia to visit, unbelievable mosquitoes on the left bank will eat you aline in junegreat restaurant there called Petrovski shaped like a boat.Brilliant girls there so friendly .Its changed a bit since then, oil money and corruption , but I guess thats everywhere, love to go back there sometime
According to Google Earth, Rostov is northeast of Moscow, on the River Don, in the Yaroslavl District. This is a wonderful compilation, by the way! If I am ever fortunate enough to travel to Russia, Rostov will definitely be on my itinerary. I am American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox and I would love to see and visit the Churches there! :o)
@MMXStudio I love Rostov, I am Brasilian, Sao Paulo, my father was from Stanitza Razdorskaya, my name is Alex Fomin, proud to be Don Cossack, god bless all Cossacks all over the world
Наш родной город как тебя не хватает по жизни ,лучше Ростова нету ,многим бывшим Ростовчанам ты снишься ,о город детства,город первой любви,ты на вечно в сердце твоих детей.
Natalie, I guess most of the photos were taken very soon in the morning - I don't mean the gardens and monuments, but the streets and avenues - because, what I do know most of the time is....traffic jam!
как же обратно хочется вернуться( ностальгия такая...

Is Rostov on Don outside of Moscow like east of Moscow , or is it south by Ukraine ?
FLACSC74 2 years ago
@FLACSC74
It's Southern, and closer to Ukraine than it is to Moscow :)
