The AWD system is only as effective as its tires. When you have 17 and 18 inch wheels with low profile rubber thats optimized for fuel economy, what do you expect? Get some 16 inch steel wheels with a dedicated snow tire and im sure things will turn out differently.

The outlander topped the list of ice times and acceleration. The drivers were the same the tires were the same, the conditions were the same and the outlander got the best times so mitsubishi themselves did the testing and were not biased and concluded theirs was the best

This is a poor excuse for a review. How can you conclude that one car has a better AWD system than the other w/out looking at the tires first? In snow this is crucial! Tires make or break a car, whether its on a race track, off-roading, snow, etc. And how can you conclude one engine is better without looking at the weight of the car, when the tq/hp is available, and the transmission; they based the conclusion of the engine on hp numbers and displacement alone(means nothing IRL)

Just purchased a 2011 outlanders sport 4WD, got the panoramic roof, sound system and all the bells and whistles other than leather. This car is one damn nice lookin ride, the front end has that Evo look and well designed curves and lines throughout the entire vehicle. The guy is right, you get the most for your money with this suv, heated seats, premium sound with subwoofer, the panoramic roof that illuminates (which is awesome), 4WD, Mitsubishis new AWC technology, 24mpg city which is the best

What a lame stupid review. The Mistu driver drove off course resulting in the vehicle getting stuck. Why didn't the Rogue driver do the same thing and really see if both vehicles are capable of unstucking itself.

They should've panned the camera all over the place. Engine, interior, functions of both cars... Instead they wasted 70% of the video covering 2 morons trying to be comedians.

I'm interested in a mini-suv and this "review" did NOT help at all.

To everyone its own choice. Every person will scream that his car is the best. I used to have all kinds of cars and every car own negative and positive signs. Right now I drive Rogue but before it was mitsu, ford, honda, pontiac, subaru, audi. Every car had different problems and recalls. So it everyone's personal preference to buy. People who owns mitsu will hate everyone else and people who owns nissan will hate anyone else. From all I had my favorite was an audi but it's my personal choice.

With power comes frequent gas stations. Buy the Rogue and see for yourself if you don't believe me. Gas miles are way off what Nissan claims. The Mitsubishi has a much better ride. Check the camera shaking. 5yr./60,000 mile bumper to bumper 10yr./100,000 mile powertrain and 5yr./unlimited roadside assistance!! Enough said!!

I give respect for the effort but this was painful to watch. The hosts seemed unprepared and I felt as though they were either horribly nervous or were (pardon the pun) "flying-by-the-seat-of-their-p­ants" while commentating. And the host piloting the Nissan has such a "nasal-y" voice, it makes me wonder if he is going to break out in a country western song at any second. It was like listening to a metal grinder on high speed for a 4 and a half minutes. Top Speed US did this challenge better.

This is a perfect example of the idea that just because you enjoy doing something doesn't mean that you are good at it. At least right now.  I hope for their sake that this is a rough draft of what the show is supposed to be. It would be one thing if the bad acting and poorly written script were being tried on a new groundbreaking concept, but this has been done many times with much better results. I had a 99' Suzuki Grand Vitara 4x4 that was a beast for how small it was. I did a lot of jungle driving in Puerto Rico and it never failed me. I looked at the new Grand Vitaras recently and they had changed a lot ~ So I went with the Toyota Tacoma 4x4.
