  • i think i need a bigger propeller on she will tear it up

  • if you just put the prop a little lower she would be fine

  • where did you get the propeller from and whats the long thing caled thats holding the propeller plz reply im only a begener ;(

  • I recommend putting the prop under the boat it is a little to high up

  • use the brush-less motor as well

  • get abruslles motor dude it wa

  • Prop is mounted to high, get a stringer drive.

  • propeller will have starvation and a lot of cavitation

  • nice transmitter

  • Umm dude.. I'll give you a tip.. The shaft comes out the back and then needs a uni joint so that it goes straight..

  • how do you water proof the drive shaft

  • @lolpimpicp you don't, you just buy a "Ram Bildge Pump Saver"

search for it on towerhobbies(dot) com

  • where do u get the depron??

  • and where u get radio looks like it has 30 channles and what name price and where u get?

  • hey how does water not get in by the props shaft?

  • guys i need your help. i want to make amotor to moves faster what should i do ( check my project with the name of FISHING TORPEDO ) owner is fofosport85

  • a hull form for a displacement ship will get slimmer and less deep at the end so the water can flow fuently arround the hull to the propeller. in this case the propeller is almost always behind the boat. See cargo ships, slow going yachts etc.

  • @dextersxxxxlab Very good I noticed this to

  • with a hull like this you need the propeller under the hull. or you need a different hull form. a form for a displacement ship. this means the boat will not be able to come out of the water on high speeds and stays submerged. the hull will have a max speed no matter how much power you put in it. the only difference will be height of the wave behind it.

in your case just redo the propshaft. and put it though the bottom. good luck

  • nice try but i am pretty sure this boat will go nowhere. the problem lays in the hull form and the position of the propeller. the hull form points out a planning ship. also the propeller. if the boat tries to picks up some speed the water will disappear behind the transom (back of the boat) because the boat wants to be on top of the water (planing). this can't be done because the propeller will be out of the water and there is no propulsion left.

  • hi i was wondering what type of connection that is at 0:09. i was wondering how to water prooff were the drive shaft goes out.. thx

  • Nice :D What prevents the water from going up into the little tube of the propeller axis and into the boat?? (sorry for the dumb question...)

  • wow use brushless any body agree , no affence dude

  • rofl nice

  • total cost price ?

  • how did you make the motor like that? and doesnt flow there water inside?

  • Do you know where i can get some cheap depron sheets for building RC plane? Or the type of foam used by hefty for their foam plates (flexible Styrofoam). Or are they called depron? I saw some in lowes the other day buy they are corrugated. I want to know where I can get them as flat sheets, at cheap lowes price. Anyone know?

  • look up blue core foam at a local hardware store... pretty much the same thing as depron accept way way cheaper

  • thanks I had already found it, now I need to make a hot wire cutter. I am planning to make aa faily big bi-plane maybe and yet exteremely slow flier which i can fly in my back yard.

  • rcfoam(dot)com

  • hahah......

  • Motor is too small for a direct drive (it's gonna get hot and melt right through your foam hull), and the strut is too short. : (

Try a cheap gear drive from a plane, reduce your gearing to 3:1 and this motor will work, well... sorta. Give yourself about 3 inches of strut coming out the back.

    C-Ya on the Lake ~~~~~~~~***-

  • strange place for a propellor

  • no rudder

  • what sorta motoru use and what sorta batteries

  • speed 400 on 6 cells ni-cd

  • Is it that embarrassing. It has been 10 months and you still don't have a video.

  • Like the other one said.. Prop needs to be under the hull, not in it... it won't suck water from underneath it, but only sideways.. and then he cannot make any speed...:D

  • yes but if it doesnt get on the plane then it wont need to be under the hull cus it will still be getting enough water- just like a surface drive- it would just be less efficiant and go much slower than having underneath

  • where did u get black peice that went from the motor to the prop

  • how do we make that

  • the shaft is not good, too noise...

the propeler shoukd be installed under the hull

  • dont u think u need a bigger propeller and a rudder to turn it

  • You need a longer shaft and a better propeller.

  • no, it didn't go fast in the water, i took a lot of air and didn't work, i made a new one.

  • Where is it?

  • @robertberends You probably figured it out but the prop was above the keel directly behind the transom, so no water flow. Prop must be lower than keel on small craft. How did the new one work out?

  • you think that will go fast in the water?

  • nice lil propeler :)
