  • very well played !!

  • @nelaqua Thanks!

  • How do we know Maxwell was a murderer?

    Maybe it's a hammer-stealing lunatic.

  • What about the part on the second instrumental that right hand piano thing its amasing and not here =(

  • @LuminousScope You just break up the chords as an arpeggio, the same chords I showed on the video.

  • cheers it works a treat! :)

  • Amazing ! Now i can play a lot of Beatles songs . Thanks a lot ! ( :

  • how knowledgable or advanced in playing piano do you think you should be to play this song?

  • @BlazeandGrave You need to be farther along than a true beginner, but as long as you understand the basics of chords, you should be able to play it with some practice. Definitely not the easiest song on the playlist, though.

  • @pianojohn113 What would be some of the easiest?

  • @corydonald1 I'd say "Hey Jude" or maybe "Let It Be" are two of the easiest ones to learn. Bilyl Joel's "She's Got A Way" is another one.

  • @BlazeandGrave moderate

  • amazing tutorial and song, i love it xD!

  • do u have a tutorial to play money

  • Can you please do a tutorial on obla di obla da?

  • I accidentally my wife with a hammer

  • Most helpful. Keep up the good work. Thanks!

  • The instrumental @ 06:07, on the song after the second chorus its played one note at a time on one hand isnt it? Giving it a sort of morning has broken feel.

  • @nath909 Yes, exactly, the chords are arpeggiated, as they say. Break them up from low to high, and just stay on the beat.

  • this is a great tutorial

  • this helped me in the bass :D thanks

  • Thanks for doing this mate! =] You do fantastic tutorials

  • o wait im sorry i didnt see the whole video wen i commented that!

  • this is not a tutorial! this is a piano cover! i cant stand wen people cant tell the difference!

  • I just discovered your videos...I won't be going to sleep for a while. Thanks.

  • THIS IS AWSOME!!

  • Is that Steve Martin playing too?

  • yeah, the top of john's head does bear a striking resemblance.... this must mean that paul is dead.

  • Kind of distracting that some of your fingers are off-screen..

  • Yeah, not much I can do about that, though.

  • Just wanted to say how cool you were for posting these tutorials.

  • Sorry John, I'm a total noob at the Piano. But by C# octave you mean C# to the C# 8 steps up right?

Thanks and amazing tutorial as always John!

  • FueledbyMoon: yes, that's exactly what I mean on the octave.. play the lower C#, and then the C# above it, 8 notes higher.

Glad you like the videos, thanks for the comment! Enjoy.

  • Like TSOFan1, I wanna thank you for all your videos, they're extraordinarily helpful to learn how to play the piano!!! I'm a great Beatles fan and I've always loved all of their piano parts, and thanks to you I'm learning all of the most difficult ones just watching your videos!!! Thank you!!! :D :D :D

  • have a go at some queen please john

  • I completely agree

  • Excellent John. Actually, all of your tutorials are superb. I am in a Beatles Tribute band and when I am missing a part or there is something I cannot quite figure out on piano, I come to your videos. I have learned a lot from your postings. Thanks so much!

  • Thanks, TSOFan1, I'm glad my videos have been helpful to you! I appreciate the comment.

  • I killed Maxwell with his own hammer ;)

  • Oops! I accidentally rated this video for one star. I'm learning the song and was re-watching some parts and my finger slipped. I'm so sorry!

Thanks so much for posting this. :)

  • i gave it a 5 for you :P

  • @drawboy6x3 wow, its only a year since youtube didnt sellout of everything/aka. changing everything to the worse

  • Tres cool.

  • excellent=]

  • wow

  • hahahhaa

  • Ha, my name's Maxwell.

  • LOL!

    Bang bang.

  • Do you own a silver Hammer?

  • Oh, plenty. A few gold ones too, but no one cared to write a song about them.

  • Oh I care. But do you have a platinum one?

  • Just one. I save it for holidays.

  • Bang Bang Maxwell!

  • Do you have sheets?

  • could you teach how to play the melody in this one? i usaly can figure it out from the chords, but this one i cant. lol, it doesn't sound reconizable when i play it, cause i cant sing

  • I was facing the same problem: the melody! You have to try keeping the beats

in that song. For me it took a while untill I got that piece reconizable. Anyway good luck.

  • When you were playing in the beginning, I had the strange urge to hit an anvil during the chorus.

I'm going to learn this after Let it Be. Thanks, John!

  • Hey, I had the same urge myself! I can't find my anvil, though...

  • thank you so much for posting, you're a really great teacher. i've learned almost all my favorite beatles songs from you.

  • you are amazing! thanks for helping not just me, but everyone!

  • Wow John where did this gem come from. I hadn't seen this before. Great Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks! I'd been meaning to do this one for months, but as usual, hadn't found the time until now.

  • Wow! This is great! I love this song! Thanks so much!

  • You're very welcome!

  • great!! thank YOU!! hey what about let em'in and maybe i'm amazed by Paul McCartney or oh Darling!!

  • They're all on the list, so I should get to them eventually.. soon, I hope!

  • Great song thank's, going to start leaning it

  • Great, enjoy it!

  • THANKSSS!

  • You're very welcome!

  • Yes! First comment! Thanks so much John, I've been looking forward to this and the others for ages! Cheers!!! And just a quick suggestion for you next set of Beatles vids: Sun King/Mean Mr Mustard/Polythen Pam/She Came in Thru The Bathroom Window. If you did those (they're short) that would complete the Abbey Road medley! Thanks again, you're great!

  • First one in, nice job! Yes, the B-side Abbey Road songs will be in future vids. The fun part is to play the entire side of the album all the way through. I'll be working on that one soon.

  • do you actually play it all the way through just for your enjoyment? i would love to see you post a performance of abbey road side 2

  • I have done that before, although it's been a while. I need to go back over some of the songs again (like "Because" and the solo on "The End"), but that would be fun to do again. I may give that a shot soon! :-)

  • Thanks! I never thought of that, but playing all of side 2 would be an amazing thing to watch, and an even more amazing thing to do! I hope to one day do this! Thanks again for your vids, I've already learnt Maxwell's Silver Hammer from this, took me about an hour or two. Now I'm learning Honey Pie. Hope to hear from you again soon John!

  • Sounds like you're doing great! Enjoy Honey Pie, it's a LOT of fun to play.
