@BlazeandGrave You need to be farther along than a true beginner, but as long as you understand the basics of chords, you should be able to play it with some practice. Definitely not the easiest song on the playlist, though.
The instrumental @ 06:07, on the song after the second chorus its played one note at a time on one hand isnt it? Giving it a sort of morning has broken feel.
Like TSOFan1, I wanna thank you for all your videos, they're extraordinarily helpful to learn how to play the piano!!! I'm a great Beatles fan and I've always loved all of their piano parts, and thanks to you I'm learning all of the most difficult ones just watching your videos!!! Thank you!!! :D :D :D
Excellent John. Actually, all of your tutorials are superb. I am in a Beatles Tribute band and when I am missing a part or there is something I cannot quite figure out on piano, I come to your videos. I have learned a lot from your postings. Thanks so much!
could you teach how to play the melody in this one? i usaly can figure it out from the chords, but this one i cant. lol, it doesn't sound reconizable when i play it, cause i cant sing
Yes! First comment! Thanks so much John, I've been looking forward to this and the others for ages! Cheers!!! And just a quick suggestion for you next set of Beatles vids: Sun King/Mean Mr Mustard/Polythen Pam/She Came in Thru The Bathroom Window. If you did those (they're short) that would complete the Abbey Road medley! Thanks again, you're great!
First one in, nice job! Yes, the B-side Abbey Road songs will be in future vids. The fun part is to play the entire side of the album all the way through. I'll be working on that one soon.
I have done that before, although it's been a while. I need to go back over some of the songs again (like "Because" and the solo on "The End"), but that would be fun to do again. I may give that a shot soon! :-)
Thanks! I never thought of that, but playing all of side 2 would be an amazing thing to watch, and an even more amazing thing to do! I hope to one day do this! Thanks again for your vids, I've already learnt Maxwell's Silver Hammer from this, took me about an hour or two. Now I'm learning Honey Pie. Hope to hear from you again soon John!
very well played !!

How do we know Maxwell was a murderer?
Maybe it's a hammer-stealing lunatic.

What about the part on the second instrumental that right hand piano thing its amasing and not here =(
LuminousScope 10 months ago
@LuminousScope You just break up the chords as an arpeggio, the same chords I showed on the video.

cheers it works a treat! :)

how knowledgable or advanced in playing piano do you think you should be to play this song?
BlazeandGrave 1 year ago

pianojohn113 1 year ago
@pianojohn113 What would be some of the easiest?
corydonald1 5 months ago
@corydonald1 I'd say "Hey Jude" or maybe "Let It Be" are two of the easiest ones to learn. Bilyl Joel's "She's Got A Way" is another one.

nath909 1 year ago
@nath909 Yes, exactly, the chords are arpeggiated, as they say. Break them up from low to high, and just stay on the beat.

Sorry John, I'm a total noob at the Piano. But by C# octave you mean C# to the C# 8 steps up right?
Thanks and amazing tutorial as always John!
FueledbyMoon 2 years ago
FueledbyMoon: yes, that's exactly what I mean on the octave.. play the lower C#, and then the C# above it, 8 notes higher.
Glad you like the videos, thanks for the comment! Enjoy.

BeatleLane927 3 years ago
I was facing the same problem: the melody! You have to try keeping the beats
in that song. For me it took a while untill I got that piece reconizable. Anyway good luck.

When you were playing in the beginning, I had the strange urge to hit an anvil during the chorus.
I'm going to learn this after Let it Be. Thanks, John!

Hey, I had the same urge myself! I can't find my anvil, though...
