  • Oh I love this! I plan to start doing this...thanks for the tips. I'm off to watch all your other videos :)

  • you are growing younger in these videos. i wonder just how far we can take it. at some point it has to stop doesnt it?

  • i eat any where from 80-70 percent raw calories for the last 3 months and lost 40 pounds. do you know what i do when i get hungry? .... i EAT.

  • a great tip is to soak the wooden skewers in water for an hour before putting the vegetables/meat on them. That way they dont burn on the grill! Hope this helps!! :D

  • Yummy!!!

  • Where is the best place to buy all of this meat? Do you go to a butcher shop, or just find it all at the grocery? Also, how much do you think you spent on all of this meat for the month? Thanks! Looks delicious!

  • Thanks for asking me this Matt.

I am on a very strict budget so I buy meat when it is on sale and stock up. I spend about $40 a week on Organic grass feed beef and Organic chicken and turkey. I am trying my best to keep my grocery bills at $100 a week for everything. Right now I have enough frozen surplus that I don't need to buy meat this week except for the raw organic turkey for the cats. I buy all my meat at Raley's.

  • @macomarell Thanks for sharing!

  • whats the witches broom in the background

  • @TerryNoble It looks like a witches broom doesn't it. I bought it on a road trip years ago in Arkansas. It is hand made, I love it. No I don't ride it.

  • I freeze then wrap.

  • So you freeze without plastic wrap, i didn't know it could b done that way. I thought it always had to b covered.

  • @shsu97 Yes, I do.

The food isn't in the freezer very long. No more than a month. We enjoy it to much to have any long term.

  • Hello! Was just watching this video. Thinking and researching about CRON to see if it is the right option for me. Wanted to know if you had any suggestions for vegetarians? Have been vegetarian for 5 years, do eat eggs, cheese, yogurt and fish but no meats for me. Any advice on how to make those yummy looking dinners without meat? We do eat tofu and some "fake" meats (it's just me and my hubby). Thanks for any input, love your vids :)

  • @sudly923 Wow, not a video for you with all that meat.

Actually i eat very little red meat, mostly poultry and fish.

I doubt those fake meats are all that healthy since they are so processed. To me your diet sounds good except for the milk and soy products.

CRON is very good for vegetarians, quit a few to CRONers are. Good luck

  • Thanks so much. I try.

  • not only does this keep you on track, but this saves you SO much time and effort in cooking, and cleaning etc.. i can imagine the efficiency of your system and how that leaves you time to do other things in your life

"A stitch in time saves nine!"

  • I sure can't wait for good weather so I can BBQ again.

I miss all the goodies in my freezer waiting for me.

  • What fun! Your recipes look wonderful. Thank you so much for bringing us into your lovely kitchen.

  • Ooooh everything looked so good! It's been a while...how are you? Happy New Year to you. What kind of camera do you use. Tish

  • Everything was good. Can't wait for warm weather to do it again.

My video camera is a Canon Vixia HV30.

    marjie

  • wow that's alot of goddamn food!!i think it'll take me at least two months to finish them all

  • Yes, it was a lot of food. It lasted us almost a month. I miss it. Every single bite was great.

  • You look like a Skinny "B" to me..lol I need to prepare my food a week in advance, makes life much easier...Great Vid! That was alot of meat, I think I almost drooled..lol

  • I love this video ! I will be grilling soon .

  • Everything l@@ked great until you microwaved and changed the structure of what use to be chciken. Microwaving can change your stucture too, beware!

  • Hello again, Marjie! It's such a good idea to show us how to cook the very food that helped you lose the weight. And it's so colourful! Much appreciated, thanks!

  • Wow! Excellent video. Taking the extra step to prep everything and use quality ingredients is an inspiration. Thank you!

  • Thanks, I need to make another day of BBQ. I loved every bite of this one.

    Thanks for watching and commenting.

    marjie

    PS. You look amazing!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks, I feel amazing.

I love having my ready made meals in the freezer. Sure makes dinner easy.

    marjie

    I sure miss you!!!

    marjie

  • You look Beautiful!

  • Thank you so much.

    marjie

  • Wow that looked amazing. i faveorited this video cause I want to come back here over and over and steal your recipes.. Now I am hungry :)

  • Do you like to BBQ too? Once I took the job away from the Greek I found I enjoy it. I have been grilling for several years now.

    marjie

  • Everything looked so good! I am going to have kabobs tonight!! Yummy! Do you have more of the greek recipes? I love greek food! Thanks!

  • I love Kabobs, so darn tasty.

I do make a few Greek dishes. I think I will do Keftedies next and a different style of Greek Green beans.

    Glad you enjoyed the BBQing.

    marjie

  • excellent vid! will not be trying this..........i'm doing this!

  • Yea, let me know how it works for you.

    marjie

  • oh my gosh! this is such a wonderful idea!

  • It sure is and makes cooking so easy after work.

    marjie

  • what a great video! I just started doing the same thing on Sundays.. cooking up my meals for the week so I could be sure to make good choices!

thanks for sharing your meals with us!

  • Good for you. I also cook a meal and double it so I can freeze one for later. I prefer frozen over reheated, tastes fresher to me.

What do you precook and freeze?

    marjie

  • since i have to live low carb due to surgery, i make almond meal pancakes, flaxseed bread, almond bread, plus turkey chili, stuffed poblano peppers, etc and freeze them so I can just pull them out when I need them. same thing with protein ice cream. I just make sure I have something on hand so I dont find myself tempted with something that will make me sick. :)

  • Where can I purchase almond meal and do you use it in a regular pancake recipe as a flour substitute ? I take it almond is a low glycemic food ? Thanks for sharing I really want pancakes haven't had any in at least a year .

  • hi.. I buy mine at the Wholefoods store since my grocery store doesn't carry it yet, but you may want to check there first. It really is great to be able to have pancakes and stay low carb.

  • On the shish kabobs, did you pre-cook the meat, then grill it on the skewer? Thanks for the great video!

  • I don't precook anything before I grill it.

The meat was cooked then frozen. After it was frozen it was bagged, when I want an entree I microwave it to perfection.

    marjie

  • Marjie, I lost 85 pounds now and I am an avid fan of yours..doing what you are doing only I am also lowering my carbs..its been almost 8 months and I want to be 130. I am following you and love your videos..you look wonderful and I love your clothes videos, also..keep up the good work..hugs from rhode island.

  • Great video

  • Thanks,

  • outstanding and informative...i want to lose 100 lbs like you....U r an inspiration!

  • I sure hope you can lose exactly what you want. It is a wonderful feeling.

    marjie

  • Marjie! I can't tell you how many times I've said and thought of doing this "mass cooking" and I just never took initiative (or became overwhelmed by info on the web) to research which foods and dishes are good for this sort of cooking. PLEASE... tell me what other dishes do you cook ahead of time and freeze? Fish? How do you freeze them? Plastic bags? Containers? You are FANTASTIC Marjie!!! Keep making those videos! I love them! Especially with the "spoon" and the "cup" guys :). THANX!!!

  • If I am BBQing I freeze the meats then put them in freezer bags.

I often make chicken broth and freeze it.

I tried fish but didn't like how it turned out.

Sometimes I make a huge batch of meat balls and freeze them. I do chicken breasts and thighs. In the winter I do soups. Sure makes dinner planning easy.

  • Great Video thank you

  • Thanks so much

    marjie

  • Your a babydoll...I can see alot of change in viewing your past videos! Great food...its tantalizing! I need to dust off my grill!

  • Great video! I want to come over for dinner. lol.

  • Hey, come on over. The bbq is already cooked.

    marjie

  • i'm sooooooooo hungry now !!!

  • Me too.

  • what a great video Marge and I think you hit skinny a long time ago seems to me like its easier when you are younger to loose wt know I did but you inspire me now that I am older!!! Thanks for this dont stay away too long now

  • Yes it sure is easier to lose weight when we are younger but that sure shouldn't stop us from losing weight and getting healthy.

    Thanks

    marjie

  • I love love love this idea of grilling ahead of time and having convenient healthy foods ready to go! Great idea! I also love how you call your huni "the Greek" lol too cute!!

  • I love having pre-made foods made my me in the freezer. I do it even if I don't BBQ.

Yes my huni is a Greek. For some strange reason I have always called him "The Greek". When you meet him you will know why, for one, he is Greek. :-)

  • You are amazing, Marjie! Great vid - The food all looked incredible... and... did I hear The Greek's voice?? Has he ever made an appearance? Super job!

  • Yes, that was the Greek's voice. He was introduced in one of my videos. The one where he talks about the Bay Bridge. He is a great guy although a bit chatty.

    marjie

  • wow! you look amazing as always...and so does all of your food! i've missed you so much. thanks for the great recipes.

  • Thanks, I need to make more videos, I am working on it.

  • marjie! that all looks sooooo delicious! you've definitely given me some great ideas! love the HUGE dragonfly at the end! wow! ~ hugs, katie

  • Thanks,

That dragonfly hung out with me for the entire 4 hours I was cooking. Very pretty colors.

    marjie

  • Great idea! Sounds delish! I LOVE your stove <3

  • Thanks, I love my stove too. The Greek picked it out, he did a good job.

    marjie

  • GREAT video ! Thanks SO much for sharing this ♥

  • Thanks, it is a great way to be prepared for hot, don't want to cook days.

    marjie

  • Wonderful video and you look so great!

    Love that apron!

loved all the BBQing and found some great ideas

    I love all the prep!!

    Thanks for sharing..

    <3 Brenda

  • Thanks so much Brenda,

    I love BBQ'd food.

I am looking for earrings with cherries to go with my apron. :-)

    marjie

  • Oh, I am so going to drive over the hill to rob your freezer!

  • wow such a great video and you look so pretty !

Are you greek ? oh and you're already skinny but not a "b"

    good cooking!

  • Great vid! The food looks amazing! :0)

  • Wow that's amazing that you make food that lasts for weeks. Looks yummy.

  • This helped me out so much. Thank you! :D

  • You probably drove your neighbors mad with the aroma of BBQ for so long LOL.

  • Wow, that looks awesome. I favourited this video so I can watch it again, it sounds like a great idea... because I'm super busy all the time also. Thanks soooo much for sharing. And you look AMAZING. You're so inspiring. :)

  • this is a great idea your looking amazing so good to see videos from you again

  • Thanks for sharing - overall, how does the meat handle the reheating? I have wanted to do something like this in the past, but I didn't think the meat would keep its constitution very long in the freezer.

You look great by the way!

  • What a great video, and you are one of the most prepared people I know. There are ideas here for whatever plan you are following. Preparation is the key to ward off the "what to do I do" now moment.

  • Thank you so much for this video. You have inspired me to get cooking. a question for you... how did you wrap the cooked meats? foil, lock n locks ?

you also have inspired me because of your age... I am 53 and have lost 160 lbs. took me three years... first year I lost 100, second year 30 this past year 30. I have 15 more to go. Thank you very much !!! and congrats on losing all that weight, you are skinny, but I bet you are a very nice person and not a "B" LOL

  • Having food ready is such an important part of the entire process. You gave great examples. I am convinced not having food ready is why people fall back into the trap of fast foof. I am able to stay several days ahead, sometimes as much as a week. Great video.

  • im so saving this. i love ur marinades!

  • can you adopt me? I love low carb foods and meat? heheh

    <3 R

  • yum, amazing. going to try to do this...

  • Loved this video! Great idea cooking all of your meat at the same time, like that!

  • Great video :o) awesome that you preped all those meals :o)

  • Thanks for sharing. I especially like the yakitori recipe.

  • ive heard of cooking 30 days in advance but wow now ive seen it. that is so smart. with a little planning and doing, you are set for a month. smart girl. thanks waves~~~

  • You are a skinny b, and you are there! Wow...is this something you do all the time? Very smart and great payoff! Thanks for sharing...
