Holy shit, thats incredible for a budget system. I cant believe the settings your using and still getting smooth FPS on a 9600GT. Its thanks to that Triple Core 8450 CPU. Ive never heard of that cpu, is it overclockable and how hot does it run? I have an Intel Core 2 Quad right now and it flies, but i THink AMD has the better bang for buck budget cpu's right now.

the specs for ARJAYSUKA's computer below should run CRYSIS really quite well. the 9600gt should be pleanty and the rest of his system should be fine. the only thing i would change is, if his MOBO can support 1066MHz DDR2 RAM then he should go for it. ARJAYSUKA is right. you can run CRYSIS on max with this GPU and his setup is fine for it.

yep sorry. your right i meant to put GTX. sorry bout that. the more powerful the better though. it also depends on how many components he has that require power. if you have 2 disk drives, 2 hard drives and a 9800GT, you going to need a moderate PSU but if you only have 1 disk drive, 1 hard drive (maybe 2), your will only need a 500 / 550 watt PSU. i have a blu ray drive, 2 hard drives at 10000RPM and 1 9800GT and 1 9800GTX on a crossfire MOBO and i have a 750watt PSU for them.

saying that, i see that you DO have vista 64 bit premium. you may be able to get very high on some things like effects and physics but you will have to experiment. i hope this has helped you.

you need a 650watt power supply minimum for the 9800GT so be sure that you have this before you get the GPU. The specs for these GPUs are, 8800GT - 600-650MHz core clock, GDDR3 memory speed of 1800MHz, 65NM(not so good for overclocking. 9800GT - 600-650MHz core clock, GDDR3 memory speed of 1800MHz, 55 NM(pretty good for overclocking.

but you may not be able to get very high for everything. if you dont have vista and you dont have the ALKY PROJECT version of DX10 for xp then dont download it because it aint worth it. i recommend buying a 9800GT GPU because it is alot more overclockable than any other of the GeForce series but if your not one for overclocking then the 8800GT and the 9800GT are the same so go for the cheaper 8800gt. THEY ARE THE SAME CARD. 9800gt CAN BE OVERCLOCKED ALOT MORE THAN THE 8800GT.

yes your computer should be fine. you may not be able to run everything on very high (but you need vista direct x 10 to do that anyway)but your compt should run it on high with a 1280 x 1024 resolution but you wont be able to have anti aliasing. if you do get 2x anti aliasing on it then you shouyld think yourself lucky lol. if you have vista directx 10 or the XP ALKY PROJECT version of directx 10 then you can unlock the very high settings

so acctually, you may of had a fault with the 8800gt which makes it seem like there is such a performance difference. they say that if you have an 8800gt, theres no point buying a 9800gt because they are the same, the only reason you should upgrade is if you want to overclock the 9800gt because it can take more punishment than the 8800gt because of the shrunk NM value.

the 8600gt and 9600 gt are the same. the only difference is that the 8800gt has 65NM and the 9800gt has 55NM which makes the 9800gt more overclockeable so from a core of 600MHz, you cane put it up to 800MHz. from a 1800MHz GDDR3 memory speed you can get 2000-2100 MHz out of it. thats the only difference. they both have the exact same core and memory speed when factory clocked.

You will need a decent graphics card, your on-board card won't be able to handle those games with decent image quality and framerates. I would suggest a 9600gt or even a 3870 if the prices are good. A little higher and you can get a 4850 or 9800gtx. All will do the job nicely and won't break the bank. You have a nice motherboard btw.
