  • My Bloody Valentine copy it is.

  • Take the 90's like this all day..its like a cleaned up A place to bury strangers..

  • my bloody valentine reinvented.

  • Just found this by accident. Love it. Can wait to hear more.

  • My bloody Valentine - "Soon"

  • @Christine23Greece

my friend just linked me to this and i said the exact same thing.

half of me was expecting the "duh dunana duh dunanana" to come in.

  • I am in the club of having seen them before the Pumpkins. I have to say I enjoyed them more than Bily Corgan and prosthetic band. They were into it. Billy looked like he didn't give a shit. He gave a half-hearted performance and avoided most of the big songs. He didn't play anything from the most recent two albums and album tracks from older stuff. No Today, Bullet with Butterfly Wings, 1979, 33, zero, disarm.....

  • I saw them yesterday in a show. They're pretty good live

  • The bridge is awesome! They should have extended it or even repeated it.

  • dubstep

  • @louiscarruthers wrong... this is shoegaze

  • A bit too MBV but they were great at Brixton tonight

  • I came here because of the hilarious name

    But awesume music man

  • Just saw them. They were supporting smashing pumpkins - great band!

  • saw them before smashing pumpkins. they played eight and a half hours random noise. very impressing

  • @formerlyKnownAsShun

Strictly speaking this track and the vid is 1988 thru and thru

50k hits - amazing that this stuff is still coming out.

  • nice band, seen before pumpkins show and as told there, sounds like MBV/Ride but good!

  • Sounds like early MBV meets Medicine with Cranes sprinkled on for good measure

  • This band is way better than Smashing Pumpkins.

  • @zbox98 It must be opposite day where you are.

  • @zbox98 will see, since they will open for SP tomorrow:DD

  • hello my bloody valentine v.2

  • It's a pretty cool opening, but the rest of the song is ehh. It doesn't help that she sounds exactly like Bilinda Butcher. I'd stick with Deerhunter, A Place To Bury Strangers, Boris and Autolux for new shoegaze.

  • Thumb up if you came here because of Smashing Pumpkins

  • alright, pipe down my bloody valentine

  • I'm going to see The Smashing Pumpkins in Amsterdam this November, and this will be their support act. HELL YEAH!

  • Shoegaze!

  • @ShopliftersUnite Not just any old shoegaze it's a complete rip of "Soon" by MBV! Not that it is a bad thing. About time we had some decent shoegazing.

  • I don't just take a chill pill, I drown it in ambient distortion from good shoegaze bands like Ringo Deathstarr.

  • @ jedf666 This is just absurd You want them to be MBV too much . Jezus Howemany shoegaze bands are there? The ones I know would need a MUCH longer comment box , And that is using abbreviations ! Someone is BOUND to get inspiration from another band... Let the band have it's own identity . Instead of calling them a clone .

  • it's fucking shoegaze, enjoy the music and be grateful there are still bands like this today.

  • lol stop bitching up about MBV

  • Top comments are accurate for once.

  • What an ass-holes the ones who say this band is a copy of MBV... of course they sound like them!! they are playing shoegaze !!! Do the Ozric Tenacles or Dead Meadow pretend to be Pink Floyd only for doing some psyco rock???

Stop saying bullshit and enjoy this beautiful sound

  • this is just absurd, they wish they were mbv too much.

  • im not sure about this.

no surprises. but quite every "artistic" element here is just similar to the original shoegaze bands.

im not offending, its a "good" sound. though arts should be creating, not reproducing.

  • and to be fair if youre making a 'shoegaze' record surely part of that particular genre code is obviously to have the same elements the rest of the bands used?

  • does it really matter if it sounds like MBV?? i never listened to any shoegaze stuff in the 90s im just glad people are making it now ... surely its a good thing?? half the ppl listening now wouldve been toddlers first time round :)

  • SOTY

  • thank god

  • very my bloody valentine, with all my due respects even a rip off...

  • @missrejectedgirl don't think you've heard enough shoegaze, love. They're more like Curve than MBV

  • @eddy67 Nah... right in between. This video tries to rip off "Soon" a little bit.

  • @eddy67 Well in his defense, every post-loveless shoegaze band reminds MBV one way or another.

  • @wazzupcrap Dear Mr. Shoegaze authority, watch the MBV's "Soon" video and tell me that scene with the girl dancing in the kitchen isn't ripped right out of that video. If they were not being deliberate, they would have picked a better location.

  • @ancientears1 Maybe it's a homage?

  • @eddy67 You sir, have hit the nail on the head.

  • the only good thing from texas since robert e howard !

  • They're a total MBV rip off but I like it

  • @ioo008800ooi they have plenty of songs that have a different sound

  • What a fucking step up from their previous material, wow incredible!

  • I thouoght shoegaze was dead I guess I was wrong.

  • My Blood + Cocteau. Just amazing...

  • Ah the whole every other decade repeats itself trend theory is holding up. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 90's.

  • @FormerlyKnownAsShun the 60's and 80's were not a repetition of eachother...

  • @FormerlyKnownAsShun I don't think the 70's repeated the 50's at all...

  • @auroraindicakush The Ramones and the Misfits disagree.

  • @FormerlyKnownAsShun this is more of an evolution of the 90s, to be honest, but yeah. We've been recycling the previous decade since 433 B.C.

  • great sound, best elements of all shoegaze bands in one, a lil medicine in that bass line and drum beat and total mbv wall of sound guitars.

  • holy 1991 college radio.

  • ...BATMAN

  • Now that you guys mention it, I do hear a bit of Doppelganger era Curve on the female vocals. Now I love the album even more.

  • it sounds more like radial spangle or the swirlies than mbv or curve.

  • Comment removed

  • I get you on the Curve thing. I just wanted a chance to mention her name ;-) I strongly recommend the 'Public Fruit' compilation. It is a collection of the pre-Doppelganger EP, which I think is their best work. After the first album they went a bit to beepy electronic for me. I am desperate tosee what a show these guys put on when they come back to Madrid....

  • @mathew1t Do you know SPC ECO, then. Dean Garcia from Curve's new band? Its alot more guitary and psychedeic. Look it up. Really awesome.

  • The goddess from Curve is Toni Halliday. I like this band because they remind me of My Bloody Valentine.I especially love the album track: Day Dreamy. I am not sure I get the similarity with Curve,though...

  • @mathew1t The MBV totally jumped out at me at first (especially the Kevis Shields guitar sound), but I started to hear a tad of Toni Halliday. (at least from the Doppleganger album (the only one I'm really familiar with)). They do it well, no doubt.

  • rump

  • bEAVER bOUNCE-- sHRIMP AND wHITE wINE.

  • Pumpers like to pump

  • Great song and amazing album, really reminds me of My Bloody Valentine with their own twist.

  • @fUngw00 I just heard this and thats what I thought. Sounds like Belinda Butcher or the lady from Curve.

  • playing with SPC ECO (ex-Curve) in London march 7th

  • the song absolutely BRILLIANT!! it's a perfect blend of MBV swirling sounds and Medicine druggy beat, a 5 stars!

  • This reminds me a lot of My Bloody Valentine's untouchable classic: 'Soon'

  • This sounds just like "Aruca" by Medicine, both awesome bands!

  • Tokyo is waiting for you!

  • So good - Please play London soon!

  • @gezma12

There playing the Lexington on the 17th of Feb mate
