Tristan and Isolde is one of my favorite love stories of all time. the FORBIDDEN <3 :( very said but James Franco did an AMAZING job. I just wanted to make passionate love to him when i saw this. My God, he's so attractive.

To be moved so much by a film that you cry as though you are at a loss, or laugh hysterically or even detest the villian is the true mark of a great film. For you to then go and create this... my friend, you play too well with emotions not to pursue a career in the art. This is one of few films I can honestly say i cried when viewing. The problem is that with franco as lead, just his depiction of true heartbreak throughout made me weep all the heavier! Damn you for being so good! LOL Great job!

James Franco truly does beautifully portray this movie, and the woman was also very good. I truly did enjoy this movie, even though I knew the outcome. I still cried a little at the end, and I think that this video does really capture the passion and the love that caught these two true star-cross'd lovers by surprise. Though it may have led to death, the flawed love enraptured the two, as you enraptured me with this video.

Truth be told that I just saw this movie for the first time over the weekend and it really struck a chord with me. First of all, I'm drawn to the medieval setting and the tragic love story pierced my heart. For some strange reason, I found the sadness comforting.

The medieval setting just somehow makes it somewhat more real--more than those movies that try to put old stories into modern settings, which somehow make it wrong--and it doesn't have a happy ending. I'm glad. Happy endings, though commonly used, make you happy, and that's good, but there's just something new about seeing a tragically-ending movie.
Sadness in others is comforting. It means we're not alone in our solemn darkness.

It's nice to see a solid music video, which are few and far between. If you have the time, I made a music video to "Tristan + Isolde" using the song "Broken" by Lifehouse. The movie's my favorite as I just saw it a couple days before I watched your music video. Take a look if you've got time to spare and tell my what you think in a comment or so. If you do watch it, the beginning/intro clip is a little quiet so you may want to hike up the volume a bit. Once again, great job!!!

Well the thing is I've read it in French, and read two versions. I know the version of joseph Bédier and Hilaire Billoc has been translated to : the Romance of Tristan and Isolde. Theres also the version of Gottfried von Strassburg and A. T. Hatto that seems pretty good but it's probably longer and more poetic so if you like it cute and short, you should go with Bédier's, which is awesome too!
I've never cried as hard as I did when I've watched Tristan and Isolde, and I had to cry again when I saw the and of this youtube-movie.. It's so sad! It's really the best movie ever!

i know! i felt so bad for him, but he handled it admirably. and despite them sneaking around, i felt awful for them too. they really couldn't help it. the whole situation was just...ugh.
this movie will always make me cry. great vid. it made me all teary eyed all over again.

If you have the time, I mad another music video. I used "Sound the Bugle" by Bryan Adams and the movie clips comprise Frodo's Struggle from the Lord of the Rings. It starts out in grayscale first, but then goes to color mode to kind of match the song. Tell me what you think of it.

Perfect music video!! Ones made to instrumental songs are almost better than ones made to normal songs because these m.v.s actually follow a set pattern. No offense to anyone out there, but some of the other ones I've seen had clips that had nothing to do with the song. But this music video is quite good. Nice job!! 5 star, I'd say.

It's nice to see a solid music video, which are few and far between. If you have the time, I made a music video to "Tristan + Isolde" using the song "Broken" by Lifehouse. The movie's my favorite as I just saw it a couple days before I watched your music video. Take a look if you've got time to spare and tell my what you think in a comment or so. If you do watch it, the beginning/intro clip is a little quiet so you may want to hike up the volume a bit. Once again, great job!!!

This movie sucked. If you only read the real legend of Tristan and Isolde, you would see how they fucked up the story.
I've read the book over a hundred times and I cry everytime I read it. This movie is nothing compared to the book

Well the thing is I've read it in French, and read two versions. I know the version of joseph Bédier and Hilaire Billoc has been translated to : the Romance of Tristan and Isolde. Theres also the version of Gottfried von Strassburg and A. T. Hatto that seems pretty good but it's probably longer and more poetic so if you like it cute and short, you should go with Bédier's, which is awesome too!
