  • It's so nice to see such fine craftsmanship these days. Not only is this interesting, but the video itself was done beautifully. Thanks for posting this!

  • I want to work here!

  • Wonderful! Hot stamping is way cooler than any other technique. Gives the Moleskine a nice touch. Excellent video! And I loved the CAM of the die. Is that bronze? Thanx 4 the vid.

  • what is the music?

  • What is the white material that gets stamped on, and can you get it in small pieces for hobbyist use?

  • @megabigblur

The white stuff is heat-transfer foil, you can get it in small quantities from a variety of sources, but you need to get a heated die made of whatever you're printing and preferably a proper press to be able to heat the die and press it onto the object you're printing onto. The press would be a bit of an investment for a hobbyist. =)

  • @kimaboe Thanks for the information. Guess I'm stuck with normal gold/silver leaf for small-scale stuff then.

  • @megabigblur hey sorry for asking but how do you get the usual gold/silver leaf foils to stick properly?

  • Absolutely beautiful!

  • great video, love the insider's look as to how things are manufactured.
