This is just unbelievable. I noticed that in the Trains magazine news wire there was a topic titled "theft presents reopening of Ohio tourist line". I cant read the article because i'm not a subscriber, but if that is your line (i'm assuming it is) then that's pretty good publicity about the topic. Hope you guys can raise enough money to start up again.

@NscaleRR Not curently. It was becoming to costly to maintain. Though, some minor work has been done to it recently but, it needs a major overhaul

So sorry to hear of this news. I've enjoyed watching all of the video clips this year as the RR was getting closer to opening day. This is very upsetting. Maybe this tragedy in some way will cause more people to bond together; bringing the RR back to operation.

@trainmandan05 No, it looks like Grafiti but, it is tape over a broken window that is not related to this incident. The stuff they stole really has no value in a market. No one wants 1920's seat bottoms but, to a railroad like us you can't run without them. This crime is not at all gang related

I can tell you the York-Durham up here in Canada knows your pain quite well. Our yard is directly in the middle of the town and we're always battling vandalism, almost on a weekly basis. If your railroad is out in the open and close to town you really need to get security cameras installed. We're looking into getting cameras for our own railway this year too.

Wow thats too bad. I heard about this. Its one thing to steal, but stealing from a tourist railroad run by volunteers in which the railroad recives no constant source of money, thats just sick. You guys give back to the community with your own work and labor and this is how a couple of idiots want to repay you? I hope they get caught and face their troubles like a man, because thats just horrible.

I'm a member of the Southern Ontario Locomotive Restoration Society (SOLRS), we have 4 diesels, 2 steam locomotives and various passenger cars and we are working hard to keep them in top shape and get things restored, I feel your pain.
