  • you couldn't put pants on?

  • What, was a 3rd-gen Camaro with a carb'd-305 not berating enough?

  • If you want to make that 307 olds run good, get you a cam speced for a low comp. 455 and watch that 307 run hard.Yes,they are interchangable.I ran one in my 260 olds with 5A heads and made around 250 hp,so you would have a little more than that,275-290 hp.

  • The 307 was a great stock motor in my 1981 Delta 88, but if I was doing a swap I'd probably do a TBI SBC!

  • Looks nice! But 305's, 301's, and 307's all suck in terms of power, amazing that these 5 Liter engines can probably max out 220 like in yours. They are reliable but not good on power, I dropped a 5.7L 350 in my Cutlass and pushing close to 400hp... but I will say, it does look nice in there!

  • @Mellizano My Chevy 307 is 325-350hp. Its 10.5:1 Compression with just bolting on a set of 305 HO heads 58cc chambers and 1.94 valves. Its got some other nice goodies, it pulls my full size pick up around just fine and it'll smoke the tires just fine.

  • @Chevypower265 305 and 307 chevy,spark knocking motherfuckers,but will run for a long time.

  • @KJBPSkipper Mines never spark knocked a single time, even when I had it in my S10.

  • Reminds me of my Camaro, I swapped a 403 into mine though. Transmission bolted in but had to build my own motor mounts and tie in to the original Camaro exhaust--luckily the downpipe came out almost exactly in the same spot as the 2.8 connected up. Good job.

  • another poor redneck who has too much time to peice together a shit box

  • No tach? Ew.

  • Did you have to build mounts? Had to fabricate my own when I dropped a 403 down in my 85 Camaro.

  • I love oldsmobiles and camaros, BUT why in the world would you use the 307 for a swap. I dont think I have ever seen one put down over 200hp to the wheels?

  • @pwallace5921 Not a stock 307. but an aftermarket intake, flat top 9:31 pistons, mild cam, and not to forget, the 5A heads, and I'd say you get atleast 220hp

  • tht would be a good sleeper

  • HAVE NOT SEEN A OLDS IN A CAMARO BEFORE KINDA COOL

  • i dont know how a 200r4 can handle more power then a 700r4. ive seen cut aways of both transmissions and the 700s part dominate the 200

  • @dsruddell I prefer the 200R4 over the 700R4 due to the even gearing the it has. And I think GM even put the 200R4s on big block chevys

  • @chevy668 i dont think so. 200R4 is a BOPC bolt pattern. 700R4 is chevy pattern. never seen a 454 with a 700r from the factory but cant be sure.

  • @dsruddell You're right! The big-block Chevys never got the 700-R4... They got only the Turbo-400 until the 4l80-E was introduced. The 6.2L Gm/Isuzu diesels got the 700-R4, however. Uncle had one stock behind his 6.2 in his '85 G-series 1-ton window-van (Beauville). He loved the mileage he got... And, how well it towed his cabin-cruiser boat or triple-axle camper-trailer!

  • talk about a white-trash mobile

  • I think those engines have stupid belt routing. mine, you have to have the ac compressor belt on just to balance the pulleys, otherwise it's only one belt driving the water pump and clutch fan. guaranteed to squeal. reliable engine and all. bit annoying to work on vs. chevy. not as nice sounding etc, but still decent. never gives me problems.

  • LMao good... pointing out what you can see and read ... ...lololol

  • What year is the 307 did it have all the air pumps and everything or did you remove it? and It sounds good OLDS POWER

  • why do you have a 307 olds in a camro shouldnt it be a 305 or a v6

  • Did you use the 307 motor mounts or do 350 sbc mounts fit that block? Did it mount to the original mount locations or did you use something like the Trans-Dapt cross member to mount it? Sorry for the questions but I am installing a 307 in a similar project and am really unsure about how its going to mount. Great car by the way.

  • it just dosent get any more boring than that..

  • i seen a 307 the other day in a junkyard thought about getting it and running it in my 85 but i'm thnkn bout just goin with a 350sbc

  • nice looking ride...

  • I take it U have a 200-4R tranny bolted up to that 307

  • Nothing wrong with a 200-R4. Those transmissions are extremely reliable and the design flaws from the TH200 were takin care of. I will never Swap out my TH200-R4. I love the even gear ratio in it. I love the feel of driving with one of those guys than a 4L60E or a Turbo 400...And you don't even need to put a valve body kit in it to shift it manually

  • @chevy668 no to mention that a 2004-r can handle more horsepower than a 700r-4 they put em in the grand nationals for a reason

  • @MegaGuitarboss My uncle has got an 87 cutlass. He bolted up a 400hp 350 chevy to it. He just taps the gas and both tires light up like roman candle. The transmission is built to last. Its too bad that everyone I know who has had them rebuilt never shifted the same. All it takes is to misplace one check ball to cause all that trouble.

  • @MegaGuitarboss Yeah, GM thought they'd mainly sell to the Grand-Nationals Racing crowd & they didn't want to spend the extra money for a third casting variation of the 700-R4 for something that would see limited production. And the 200-4R wasn't that strong, either. A friend got an '87 & with a few minor bolt-ons managed to run 11.80s...and needed the trans rebuilt TWICE within a few months time! Thank-god for Art Carr friction pieces (2nd rebuild).

  • is that a wood air box?????

  • lmao

  • am i wrong or does that look like wood to you

  • this thing has a 455 now right??

  • I have an 87 olds cutlass supreme brougham with a 307 as well, but with 7A heads. factory rated 140HP and 255ft lbs of torque. You need a mild cam and throttle body injection to get that on a chevy. For about a good 4 months I had a Holley 650 spread and a proform vac/mech dist. It smoked the hell out of the tires with the 2:14 gears...I had to install OEM stuff for emissions...But damn, for puny ports, it was pretty damn good.

  • i like the mods you have on that 307, i have an 84 lesabre coupe with a 307 and the 5A heads, can you help me out on telling me where you baught your parts/power adders for that 307?

  • I dunno why if you went to the effort of puttin an olds motor in a Chevy... Why you put a 307 in. My Regal has a 307 in it, and I can't wait to pull it and put in a 425 or 455. Even a Olds 350 would be a nice upgrade, but I'd rather go bigger... It's gonna get bad gas mileage either way might as well have big block torque. What exhaust are you running though? I really like the sound. And it's different, pry ticks off purists and that's always fun. Haha.

  • running like a sweing machine

  • what a piece of shit

  • I had a 500 Big Block in my 85' fleetwood from a junk Deville, and I have a 307 in my 85 Eldogg they both ran great

  • why didnt u just keep a chevy motor in it

  • Most likely he had the stock v6 that came in the lower-end model

  • @kpj200 Or the TBI 2.5L OHV 4-cyl, if it was built before the '87M/Y!

  • I like your car. And thats a good motor too.

  • she thumps pretty good, are the internals still stock?

  • ARE YOU SERIOUS ... theri are like 3 non stock internals ever for a 307 LOL

  • i love seein that olds small block in a chevy oldsmobile small blocks make alot more torque than chevy small blocks i bet it pulls that light lil camaro around pretty good have you got ta run it at a track id be interested ta see what kinda numbers it runs
