He's just mumbling like he did on Old Age, he has the melody but not the lyrics, so he just mumbles random shit. As far as I can tell , he doesn't sing what you said.

Have any of you noticed, but when Kurt Create's a Demo, you can hear the true style and emotion he had for his music... I don't really like the studio version of this song.. I've got the early copy of this in 1992.. the 'Jam' Practise he'd made, not the whole song just a quarter as a sound board check.

Yeah it really is too bad that this is the only song that Cobain and Grohl every really collaborated together. I think it is just a hint of what they could have done together.

Do not forget Krist either, he also added the perfect baseline melody for Cobain's songs.

It's sad because I think an album after In Utero would have been amazing because I think just about all of the songs would have been collorbrations.

Dave Grohl wrote the main riff. At first Kurt didn't like it, thinking it was too much of a cliched punk rock riff, but eventually he used it in Scentless Apprentice, a song inspired by the book Perfume.

My favourite version of this is on With The Lights Out, it's a rehearsal, and it sounds like it's the very first time they played it together. It goes on for ages while everyone works out their parts. Brilliant to hear how songs get written!

Kurt took the music of a song more serious then the vocals thats why in most of his demos he consintrates on the musioc part not the vocals he said a few times "Music First Vocals Second". Of coarse in a final to be released version he will be more concerned about the vocals, but I dopubtr it mattered to him with demos

Acrually the raw riff, and drum beat were created by Dave Grohl, but the band jammed until the song was finished. Theres a early rehearsal of the song on With The Lights Out. With them jamming playing the main riff, and Dave is instructing them

Yup they should have just left it the way Kurt wanted it. This demo is a perfect example of how Kurt wanted it too sound. Alot of microphones on the guitar give it a huge wide ambient sound. Useing the natural sound of the room, and the guitar rather then splashing fancy effects all over it like they did on Nevermind
