What requirements do you need to do this work? I have almost a year experience of blasting and painting industrial metal structures, would I be able to get a job like this?
Hi, my guess is that it was there for interior work???other than that all the 75 work is down here, well not for long as there is only 4 left flying,PEC left longterm storage bound for LGW the other day as did PEL,hope this helps....

Openskies is the new airline from British Airways. It's basically them flying from Europe to America with cheaper staff, like Jetstar (Qantas) and American Eagle (American)... Pretty bad really!
Interesting that you can comment on the quality of an airline that hasn't started flying yet! Doesn't sound very credible to me. Since when is there a direct correlation between cost of staff and quality of an airline?
Well, you only have to look at Ryanair to see that. I have worked for many airlines and it's safe to say, the higher the pay, the higher the standard.
The Ryanair business model is based on operating like a bus . From whatI read, OpenSkies is not trying to be a bus company, but is taking the premium approach. While they recently went out of business, EOS offered a greatproduct, but paid their pilots less then legacy carriers. Their demise had nothing to do with quality or safety. It's clear you are a pilot that works for a legacy carrier who is looking to hold on to the past
it is evident by your statements here that you not only have no clue what you're talking about but you have no class either. you should watch what you say and who you insult in the process. some of us love what we do, and keep our standards far higher than yours,
also openskies was created to go into competition with l'avion, which is also a business class airline which flies to new york from france with a boeing 757.
I think they could have had a much better design for the livery to be honest. It's not very original... but I guess it keeps costs down. Anyway... best of luck to Openskies, and hopefully they won't suffer like Maxjet.
All I needed was a vehicle painting trade. I paint fighter jets but :)

do they take the old 757 and shove winglets on and a new paint job?
Wagontour08 3 years ago
yup, pretty much. Winglets are retrofitted to improve economy. Openskies was until recently called Project Lauren. Its very much a BA thing.
