Sydney all though definately looks nice, has no substance, the culture is quite racist, everything is overpriced, the nightlife sucks and there is really not much to do.

This had me IN from the beginning because it starts on Maroubra Beach and then goes to all the places I've now been hundreds and hundreds of times, these last 53+ years of living in Sydney. Spending my teenage years, in Maroubra Bay High School (Great reunion, earlier this year!) and particularly on the North End of Maroubra Beach. (I wonder if those people enjoyed the brand new bikes they stole from me there, around 1960.) I like the music. I like the whole thing!!

I lived in Paddington in Sydney for 2 years and I find it to be over hyped and a bit of a dump. Once away from the glitz of the grubby harbour it's got dirt, crime, homeless and not much depth. Scratch the surface and there's little there. I like Aussies but they are so thin skinned, your best mate as long as you're massaging their egos telling them Sydney is the best place you've ever been but if you dare be truthful (realistic) they'll turn you. They can't take criticism. 3out of 10 for me.

Its a nice video and all but Melbourne is a much better city. Having lived in both, Sydney does not have the culture and ambience of Melbourne. It's a nice place to visit but public transport is shocking, you have to pay tolls on motorways everywhere you go and there is a great divide b/w the hav's and have not's. If you live in the western suburbs you may as well live in a different country b/c there are bad steriotypes about it. The sites and harbour are nice but its a very superficial city.
