The last Liner 2 I saw had been modded so much you wouldn't have guessed it was a Liner 2 unless someone told you! For the price, at the time it was made, it wasn't a bad little radio and a lot of people used them. I seem to remember Belcom made a credible little 10 metre multimode some time around 1980/1981.
I am now the proud owner of a Belcom liner 2, I have been told this radio is related to a 23 channel AM/SSB CB from the early 1970's? Very solid radio and quite large and I have noticed it has a very sensitive receive. There can't be to many around now. My Microphone uses a 1/4" jack. I will test it out in due course using a simple Slim Jim for starters. Thanks for listing this as its good to know there is another one out there, unless I have the one you are using!!!?
Just bought a KLM Echo II for $30.00 (US) off eBay. Works great with very nice received audio and same with transmitted audio (so I've been told) Mine has a band switching knob on rear panel as well as a CW jack and a RLY Cont. 12V jack (?) I think it has a mod kit installed. Thanks for the great video! 73 KB9YNJ

I love boatanchors! I have a Swan 270 HF rig that is near 40 years old and works great.

Love to get my hands on a VHF SSB. My old FT 227 ok, but would love to see what I could get on SSB.

A good old radio: Nice to see who you can hear given the dearth of VHF activity nowadays. 73s Bob, G0IMB.

I had an old Liner2, paid £5 for it at a boot sale. Worked all over Europe with it. A bit rough but had a lot of fun with it. Ian, G0YAP
