If you're on Windows the latest version of Firefox browser has an automatic spell check :) It's pretty cool. (I've heard that it doesn't happen on Macs, though)

mac has an integrated spell checker (cmd-; iirc but check your edit menu first). Which windows doesn't have as far as I know. Firefox does put red dots under words (on mac) or red line under words (windows) that are spelled wrong in text fields.

Mac os 9 doesn't have it, but Mac os X does have the spell checker. When I moved to windows I was sad cause I didn't have spellchecker anymore :P (firefox does, however, underline misspelled words)

Yeah, pawned, powned, and pooned are definitely all wrong because it's a specific reference to an old video game where "owned" was actually spelled wrong as "pwned".

The only reason pwn3d is accepted is because it's in l33t or however that's spelled (I don't care for l33t so I really don't know, but it's pronounced "leet" which basically means "elite"). Everything else is in fact wrong.
