  • Thank You for this video!

  • I just got an email from an advertiser requesting to place ads on my website. But I'm clueless as to how to go about it. Do I use DoubleClick as a third party server to serve the ads on my website so I can track it's performance? Do I ask the advertiser to send me his ad banner and I then use DoubleClick to get the code to paste it on my website's right column? The advertiser requested "Please mention a normal link for banner, without javascript code". What does he mean by that? Please help

  • @darkchild82 Since the advertiser is asking for a "normal link," he doesn't want to use JavaScript so there's no point trying DoubleClick.

That said, the advertiser probably want to gain a "link" from your website that flow PageRank and that could put your site ranking in trouble because Google hates "paid" links.

  • @darkchild82 DFP is an inventory management tool which will assist you in managing the inventory on your site which you sell to advertisers. Not all advertisers have 3rd party ad-servers, in which case it would help if you had DFP to manage their campaigns on their behalf, with them hosting their banners etc in your system. You will then provide them with reports on the performance, and implement any other targeting such as geotargeting, or demographic targeting at your end.

  • Excellent Have implemented the changes. need to see if this helps me in increasing revenue as I get very less CPSC

  • it looks similar to adwords. What is the difference?
