  • I just noticed....I'm not sure, but wasn't a scene from godspell shot here? You know, where a those benches are??? I think it was for bless the lord, but I'm not positive...well, I think I'm right...

  • Berger is so hot

  • Courage has no meaning without consequence.

"Hey, would you like to go to a party with me?"

  • where is the part where they say "Kids, I wish every mom and dad would make a speech to their teenagers and say, ‘Kids, be free, be whatever you are, do whatever you want to do, just as long as you don’t hurt anybody. And remember kids, I am you friend.”

  • "Dont you have to be invited to those?"

"*sigh* Would u like to go to a party with me?"

    lol that really is awesome!

  • remember, Bukowski is pronounced BukoVski !

  • where's part 6?

    That is communism

  • totally sexually harassing the business guy for hours

  • Quite often I find myself wishing I could be a hippie...

  • so good :)

  • I was born at the wrong time. I was made to be a hippie. Government and economy are stupid let's just forget it and share everything! I mean, why pay for something? Everything should be everyones.

  • @DarrenCrisslover15 Sharing everything is fine in a family or community but the problem is that this doesn't seem to work on a larger scale (countries, continents,...).

  • hair forever

  • aint got no girl (horny) :)

  • and what the fuck have hippies done for our culture??????????????

    we are still fighting wars

    and still have a nation

    no thanks to who

the whole hippy movement is dead

and has been for a long time

they failed the machine goes on

  • @54Lincoln They didn't have a plan, they just lived as the change they wished to see in the world.

  • @54Lincoln we're not dead, the dream lives on. and we'll be back. there WILL be a peacefull world for everyone, just takes some time.

  • @KyleNarayan I hope so

because hippie lifestyle is so free and appealing

I do wish we could cut out all the societal stuff and government control

    and live freely

  • i need to find me a hippie boyfriend :)

  • Claude is sooooooooooo HOT!!!! I love him! <3 hihi

  • Berger is damn hot !!!

  • @helenajesstarzak I agree...............

  • Cool i found part 3 and i was born in the wrong era too.

  • @ghostlover18 There are still boys like him, beautiful, free and with exactly the same lifestyle. Find them and enjoy them till you are young. When you are elder and you want to start a family, they are sometimes little bit disgusting ... .)

  • Man thats a young Nell Carter in this number! Treat Williams was so cool back then!

  • One of my favorite movies! I aw in person in Milwaukee and Chicago. Great memories!!

  • give me a hippie boy.. for god sake i was born in the wrong TIME@@

  • @Myckaaalllla

I dont remember what I last wrote here on this comment board...

So what is it your asking me about?

  • @helenajesstarzak What was it like to date a hippie ???

  • @Myckaaalllla

    It was wonderful....

he was a summer flirt who was perfect for me.

But he left me for someone else and five months later I still have feelings for him

  • @jlilbit09 Too bad. I was 18 when the movie came out. Great era, so much fun and music. Too bad avout Jimi H., Janis J. and Jim M. though, drugs did them in; one bad thing about that era!

  • @2:19 Nell Carter, I assume. 2:44 looks like Samuel L. Jackson.

  • My favorite movie!! *--*

  • Um anyone else think it's really hot when he picks him up in the beginning of the video...?

  • @bobafooz

    definitely XD

  • @SacredHumanity .............he was in my dream last night. Just throwing this out there, it was a great dream, needless to say.

  • i just saw this the end was sad

  • This movie is just EPIC!!!

  • Hells Yes, Manchester England England, my hometown :)

  • @stylishsid i drove up to manchester recently, its proper nice up there. shame about the premiership title for united tho...

  • @tiddlywinks98712 I'm blatantly biased but i genuinley think its the best city in england, it's like London but less busy and with friendlier people :D

  • @stylishsid yea, London is WAYY too busy, and you're right, People are much friendlier in Manchester England, England lol

  • the last word is probably God. mother is a bit out of place, don't ye think?

    Xx

  • hides in a movie..

  • Bukowski is pronounced BukoVski! Da! :)

  • would you like to go to a party with me? hahahaaaaaaaa! I love Berger.

  • if the ending wouldn't be like this, the film wouldn't se that great as it is...

  • @like2sleepalot but the creators of the musical hated it. they changed the whole plot around for the movie.

  • the ending only shows the bad consequences the vietnam war had..

    it should move the viewer

  • the end of the film is not bad, jsut sad, it's total ditfferent.

  • @csegegaba It is sad!

  • I ♥ The Moviee.

    Well A Bad Ending ;(

  • Berger is hot and so charming. How could say no to a guy like that, lol

  • i wish they had stuck to the play plot where Claude is a hippie who wishes he was from Manchester England and Shelia is in love with Berger. oh yeah and did Claude put money next to Jeanie when she was sleeping.

  • i know what you mean hippiechick. i have also been watching clips of the Hair revival where Will Swenson plays Berger and Gavin Creel plays Claude who is a hippy. i am going to see it. also, the ending is very different. not sure why they made the changes...but the music is so great! the end in this movie, although different, really really moves me.

  • yeah i love the end but it seems like they changed the plot so much that a lot of the songs like Manchester England don't make sense and they took out a lot of songs like I believe in love which was one of the best ones i think. i wish they had kept the plot a little more.

  • Yeah,Berger is DAMN HOT!:P

i love this movie and the songs.

  • I <3 this movie

  • damn, they don't make men like that no more....

    musical,hot & hippie =P

  • Woofie is so much cooler, in an softer way !

  • berger is so hot!!!

  • berger is the most cutest thing alive!

  • why is that only thing people are stupid comments about the woman

  • 6:31 hes so cute haha "would you like to go to a party with me"?

  • 6:26 sorry lol

  • I love that woman in the pink dress who enjoys the disruption

  • yes i heard the orginal was much more rawer but much more realistic.the nude scene was what really caused a contraversy(pardon the typo).i would have loved to seen the orginal london production....im only 16 but i love the roots.

  • the dancing at 2:55-3:03 gave me dejavu and I'm a 30 year old rave DJ:)

  • Nel Carter ( Rest in Peace) was my mom's neighbor when she first moved up to NYC - and Hair was her first job...

  • this film is gr8..i love it...lol....my lovely hair...aaaaaaaaaaah xD

  • hate how youtube darkens videos , i should double the brightness on my future vids

  • this scene of the film is too dark, isn't a problem of youtube xD

  • very dark picture, needs to be brighter

  • I'M PINK! i love Woof!!!!!

  • um u mean wolf? ;_;

  • Andzia super)))) mam nadzieję ze uwielbiasz ten film tak samo jak ja)))))

    Pozdrawiam Cię serdecznie)))

  • It makes me sad that they changed Claude's role in the movie from how he was in the play ): Still liking the movie though. Berger is awesome <3

  • They had to. There is no chance to make a Be-in scene in a movie. So they need a role through which the outsiders can relate to the hippie culture. It wasn't the worst choice to choose Claude for this role. It brought another interesting conflict into the story, which makes it more complex. I like that.

  • why? what was Claude's original role?

  • In the original play, Claude is also a New York hippie like Berger. In the stage version, Claude dies in Vietnam, not Berger.

  • do u know if someone filmmed it or if theres a scritpt i can read? im in lvoe with this movie

  • This version is better.

  • Yeah, I just saw a summer production of the play, and I definitely prefer the movie. The stage version does not have much of a plot, but it has a lot more singing and dancing than the movie does. I guess the stage and film versions will draw different audiences, depending on whether they prefer a strong plot/dialogue or lots of music and dancing.

  • I hope to give the Stage version a chance someday:)

  • I wouldn't say that the musical doesn't have a plot, but it's more "abstract" than the movie. Overall, I prefer the musical to the movie.

  • Sorry, I didn't mean to say that, either. Yeah, the musical is more "impressionistic", as if it tried to paint a picture, or represent the "feeling" of an era, rather the straightforward story-telling of the film. That doesn't make either of them superior to the other; my preference is just a personal opinion.

  • Hey, this is a litlle out of the subject, but do you like Gorillaz? :D Just wondering, your name just reminded me of them..

  • I think in the original play, they would walk around naked in some of the parts. I don't know, I never saw it on stage. I heard there was all sorts of issues with the broadway play because it was about hippies and drugs and anti war, etc.

  • :D Awesome!

  • groan

  • The moves from 2:55 to 3:05 are fucking badass.

  • fucking badass.

  • Cool, I'm from Manchester, England! :D

    Fantastic film.

  • yessssssssssssssssss

  • God DAMN poor boy is so high right now, he don't know what's going on.

  • love the movie

  • Provavelmente a melhor música, não sai da minha cabeça!

Mas White Boys é mó foda também.

  • claro que sim

  • I saw the musical recently and it was so good! Live nudity!

  • whats the name of this song?

  • Manchester, England.

(The other one is "Ain't got no")

  • thank you

  • i LOVE this movie. and this scene. Manchester is so awesome. and Ain't got no.

the ending is so sad though

it made me cry the first time i saw it

most of the movie is so cheerful (with a dark undertone) but the end is so depressing!

  • I get really upset at the ending as well! But it depresses me that this was set during an unwanted/unpopular war, and nothing's changed in forty years. Plus, Berger looked better with long hair!

  • Love it! Treat Williams is so damn sexy. And it was sure interesting seeing John Savage on HBO's Carnival (sort of).

  • An amazing cinematic masteropeice, but the 'Got no underwear' part is sort of nasty

  • A melhor musica!

  • Someone else who loves Hair!!! In 1980 everytime we triped Hair would be on.....even when it was'nt listed.
