Who said that Tu-160 has big RCS? It's wrong. Tu-160 uses plasma stealth technology to hide frontal RCS. Tu-160 succesfully penetrated british airspace without being detected before penetration.
The B-1 IS a great bomber, IS because it IS doing most of the bomber work abroad. And it still is supersonic (it was a bit faster back in the 70's, but its role was redefined), and it has the highest load capacity of any bomber currently active.
As for the rock music...blegh, the military has to portray itself as badass in order to recruit people, but in my experience, they're nothing but professional...except for the marines. ;-)

Why send one B-1B when you can send 21 F-16's? Also, no self-respecting B-1 would be caught dead with F-16 engines. B-1 uses four F101-GE-102's (30,000 lbs each), and the F-16 Lawn Dart uses 1 each F110-GE-101 (28,000 lbs). The F-16 was made in so many numbers because they seem to crash about 1 a week. Long live bombers! Death to the Yard Guard!

This plane turned out to be a political disaster. The concept of the plane is amazing as well as the looks but so much of the plane was divided among so many people that the plane was always breaking and never turned out to be as affective as originally planned.

Wrong. Actually, the B-1 was developed in the 1960s, the TU-160 was developed in 1972..... The B-1s first flight was in 1974 and the Tu-160s first flight was in 1981.....
It is an almost direct copy of the B-1 but bigger and faster.

Actually i got my information from somewhere else other than wikipedia. Tupoljev makes more aircraft that just the Tu-160, im sure they did design a bomber before 1972, just not the Tu-160. Try doing some research.

The UK doesn't even have helicopters for its troops in Afghanistan and has to rely on U.S. transport (quite embarrassing). UK Army also retreated from Basra and had to be replaced by U.S. troops. Oh yeah hate to break it to you but your govt. kisses our ass. I won't even get into the Brits embarrassing performances such as the battle of N. Africa where you had a 2:1 advantage.

Who said that Tu-160 has big RCS? It's wrong. Tu-160 uses plasma stealth technology to hide frontal RCS. Tu-160 succesfully penetrated british airspace without being detected before penetration.

The B-1 IS a great bomber, IS because it IS doing most of the bomber work abroad. And it still is supersonic (it was a bit faster back in the 70's, but its role was redefined), and it has the highest load capacity of any bomber currently active.
As for the rock music...blegh, the military has to portray itself as badass in order to recruit people, but in my experience, they're nothing but professional...except for the marines. ;-)
