  • I've heard that because Syntha 6 has a bunch of ingredients, it's not very healthy and the acesulfame (some kind of sweetner) in it can increase risk of cardiovascular disease. I trust your guys' reviews on supplements, so do you think Syntha 6 is more beneficial than harmful?

  • @MrBawston no you don't, you can use them as a meal replacement. Many people who do not train use protein powder and frozen fruit to make smoothies. Ideally you would sneak in at least a couple workouts a week as that is ultimately going to best for your health. Hope this helps.

  • So can kids under 18 use syntha-6 I'm 15 and wanting to get a better physique and I was curious if I would be okay to useing this product, I have a heart condition were I had surgery but that was when I was 6month so it shouldn't affect me now. If anyone can help that'd be great.

  • Im used to be a swimmer and have a pretty solid stomach. I'm looking to lose the lankiness though and pack on some nice muscle. Ive been using Syntha 6 and i love it. If i were to transfer to True Mass would i lose my 6 pack from the gains in weight? What do you suggest?

  • @DiabloMercy the True Mass could be used post workout but it is not ideal as the fats and some of the proteins are slower absorbing. For post workout you want everything to absorb as fast as possible and the best we have seen is Empyrean Nutrition Insu-Pro. Let us know if you have questions, hope this helps.

  • @chillycheezefriez you want one lower in carbs and fat so as to help you get lean. There are many to choose from some examples include Allmax Isoflex or AllWhey and Tru Nutrition Science Trutein. Hope this helps.

  • @ImaHypeBeast it's OK, it's the same protein found in Syntha 6. Is it the best? No but its pretty good and it's not overpriced based on the quality etc..

  • I'm Skinny, so I ordered true mass to get some weight on me. However in the video they say true mass will give you fat!!! I dont want fat, I want muscle as my source to add weight.

    I also go gym.

  • @cUmh3a well to gain muscle we recommend getting ~0.75-1g of protein per pound of your goal body weight per day so Syntha 6 being a protein powder helps get you reach those goals as its difficult to do with food alone. Hope this helps.

  • I see Beverley International Ultimate Muscle Protein on your website why no review?  Gonna try new protein looking at UMP or Syntha 6 which one should i go with? Goal is to maintain and burn %of body fat. workouts are balance weight training with running and swimming.

  • @maui808surf Beverly is quite expensive for what you actually get, they have quite the following but if you really look at the ingredients relative to cost you can find better powders. Syntha 6 is popular mainly due to the taste and its reasonably priced.

  • @maui808surf in that case a couple we really like, one being a whey isolate and the other is a blended protein powder. The whey is Allmax Isoflex as it is CFM whey isolate, the other is Tru Nutrition Science TruTein. Hope this helps.

  • I drink 3 scoops 3 times a day once in the morning, after workout, and before I sleep on workout days. Does that sound ok? Also can I drink it three times a day on my off-days?

  • @BestPriceNutrition True-Mass, I don't eat breakfast so I usually drink that in the morning once on off-days, and twice (morning and post-workout) on workout days. Just wondering if that's a good amount for gaining some mass.

  • @eG092 it is really dependent upon how much you are taking in (calorie wise) relative to what you are burning. The ultimate tell will be on the scale. Shoot for ~0.75-1g of protein per pound of your goal bodyweight per day and the number of carbs and fat will be determined by the calories you burn. A good start is about a 2:1 ratio carbs to protein so for you that may be 300g of carbs and 150g of protein (assuming you are 150 lbs) hope this helps.

  • hi here in greece some rumours are going round and round about syntha six..eg that andro and some forbidden stuff is being included..the national drug organization doesnt validate it but it still exist in stores..do u guys know or have heard anything about this issue?sorry but as i said rumours even from authorized indepented dealers

  • @traphyper11 if it's the actual Syntha 6 from BSN we would highly highly doubt they would put stuff like that in there as they have too much to lose and it just does not make sense as its marketed as a protein powder. Hope this helps.

  • I bought true mass banana flavor and was overwhelmed by how sweet it was. I could not take 3 scoops, and had to add way more liquid to decrease the sweetness.

    wonder if it is the flavor that makes it so sweet or is it the same with other flavors?

  • There is maltodextrin in Lean Desser Protein. Will that spike your insulin levels? Would it be ironic to spike your insulin right before you go to sleep by taking this protein?

  • @yugioh984464 the amount of carbs in LDP is pretty low so it's not an amount to be too concerned with. A mild insulin spike will actually help deliver it into your blood stream. There are other blended powders you can try with no carbs.

  • unbiased syntha-6 review: i've tried 3 flavors of it (chocolate PB, choc mint, ) its close to the best tasting protein powder out there but that comes at a cost: 6g fat at 14g carbs per scoop. the scoop they give you is massive (44g) and depletes it quickly. If you use a normal whey scoop to make it last longer, you're not even getting 20g of protein anymore. for a powder that has 200 calories, not very many of them are from protein, so it kinda defeats the purpose of the product.

  • Not sure about how well this stuff works but the taste with milk is AMAZING especially strawberry and chocolate. It tastes as good as an actual milkshake :)

  • @EliteToonZ yes as it has more calories and you need to eat more than you burn to gain weight so True Mass fits the bill in the sense that it is a calorie dense shake.

  • I saw that Syntha-6 has around 55 mg cholesterol per serving! Is that the bad cholesterol and isn't that much cholesterol per serving?

  • @SugarBen100 there is a lot of debate as to how important cholesterol levels are in terms of cardiovascular health. Relative to other protein powders that is high.

  • @BestPriceNutrition You need cholesterol in your diet to help increase testosterone levels, so i wouldn't necessarily worry about the cholesterol in this product because for most athletes its going to help

  • @Hellraiser661 again you can do that however they are quite similar in terms of protein sources (whey, egg, casein) so if the point is to change up flavor/texture that's fine. Hope this helps.

  • @Hellraiser661 that would be redundant as both are protein powders, so there is no need to combine the two.

  • @Hellraiser661 I wouldnt recommend either post-workout because they have fat in them and slow digesting casein, use a 0g fat fast digesting whey isolate after lifting. the BSN proteins are okay at night though or in the morning, but not post workout.

  • @RosaParksSwag depends upon your goals/activity level, one is a weight gainer (true Mass) the other is a protein powder with a few more calories than your typical protein powder. If you have trouble gaining weight True Mass would be better.

  • @rahul16449 it's hard to say without knowing your activity level, if all boils to how much more in terms of calories you take in than you burn. If you are worried about increasing your BF% too much introduce it into your diet slowly and track your BF every couple weeks.

  • man true mass works for me. when i drink 2 scoops 3-4 times a day. i put on weight fast. bad thing. it cost alot of fucking money to buy 6 jugs. 1 jug last 2 weeks. there is 4-4.5 weeks in a month. so 3 months you can bulk up quick if you are constantly drinking this in between your basic meals if you dont have time to cook.

  • @davinero that's correct, insulin drives nutrients to cells, fat is stored energy so you need the opposite to occur you need energy to be released into the blood to be burned for energy (lipolysis).

  • @gameradoz most weight gainers require a blender due to the amount of powder per serving, but you can try mixing it in a shaker. As far as how much you need, it really boils down to you need to take in more calories than you burn between food and supplements. If you are not gaining wait after about 4 weeks increase your calorie intake from either food or supplements.

  • @gameradoz You prob wont always use 3 scoops, but round about 3 weeks - month.. i use a normal shaker, so dunno if the gnc shaker is bigger but i add a scoop each time then mix, then add milks ( not all in at once ) but i would recommend it i was 171 lbs before and now im half way thru and im 182 lbs in morning!! but that wasnt all the shake gotta each loads too

  • @SEALhopefull100 you can, ultimately it depends upon how many calories you take in vs. what you burn. If you eat less than you burn, then you will lose weight. If you are eating a lot of calories you may want to switch to a lower calorie protein.

  • @LitrentaProductions most powdered carbs are cheap high glycemic index carbs, they do have a use however we agree when they are marketed to be miracle carbs or something like that it is just not true.

  • @darrenthaman if you want to gain weight, you need to eat more than you burn. If you can get enough calories through diet and Syntha 6 then that will work. If you need more calories, then True Mass or another weight gainer will work.

  • @playerman1 it is true, there is a fair amount of cholesterol, however the amount of cholesterol one can take in varies from person to person. Also there is some debate amongst the medical community as to what qualifies as high cholesterol relative to the risk of heart disease (currently >= 250 mg/dL is the number in the US).

  • @BestPriceNutrition that is true as well but you have to consider all the other stuff you put into your body daily. already your putting more of it in your system from one scoop of the syntha-6. multiply that by 4 and maybe a couple cheat meals and you may have effed up your diet.

  • @poseidon2267 they are similar in that they are both blended proteins (Syntha 6 has egg protein, both have whey and casein). Syntha-6 has more calories as it has both more fat and carbs.

  • Believe me when I say I really appreciate all of your videos. For the most part from what I've seen you guys are pretty honest and to the point, and I like that. However, having a representative from BSN right next to you when you're doing a review on their products isn't exactly "un-bias" and seems to be a clear conflict of interest. Get him out of there and tell us what you really think. I expect a bias opinion from a BSN rep. He's trying to make a sale.

  • @NATVSON1 thank you for the kind words. Agree 100% we would not do these with the rep again, we have recently done some vitamin videos with reps from New Chapter and Garden of Life however they were told to have peer reviewed research to back any claims made.

  • @MuDvAyNw technically no as it is a blended protein that contains some slower digesting proteins. Ideally you are looking for something with faster absorbing protein and high glycemic index carbs. Your needs will depend upon your calorie intake leading up to your workout, workout intensity and duration. Most good pwo powders have 2:1 ratio carbs:protein.

  • @alexanderkenniethbam well true mass has a better carb to protein ratio than Serious Mass, so based on that True Mass is better (if you need more carbs per serving throw a banana or other carb source in with it).

  • @alexanderkenniethbam for example 2:1 carbs to protein ratio means that for every 2g of carbs in a serving you get 1 gram of protein.

  • @xstncd yes, protein is essential for muscle growth. Assuming you are training hard and getting enough calories including 0.75-1g protein per pound of body weight you should build muscle. Protein powders such as Syntha 6 help you get enough protein as getting it from whole food alone can be a challenge.

  • Only thing good about Syntha-6 is that it tastes better than a lot of other proteins.Consumer Reports found it contained a lot of dangerous metals. supplements are generally gimmicky and a scam. a lot of them are developed by convicts behind bars, and they don't give a shit if its bad for your health, as long as they can make money. Just stick to egg whites, skinless chicken, fish,low fat cottage cheese etc. much safer, better and more affordable

  • @johnnyponny4 that's ridiculous. Please check out our video in direct response to the Consumer Reports story. we do encourage people eat good whole foods, however for many it is not feasible to get enough protein from diet alone.

  • @Dimmak21 if you are trying to get bulked up and are not concerned with adding some body fat then you can stay on True Mass or other calorie dense shake. If you are concerned with adding body fat then you should consider switching to a lower calorie protein shake.

  • Syntha 6 is a low percentage protein with tons of cholesterol and artificial ingredients. Much better proteins out there. Stick with protein isolates and proper diet and you'll be on your way.
