"Jai Ho" is an unimaginative shit song. This proves that the Oscar judges have poor taste ! If AR Rahman had any respect for the past masters he should surrender the Oscar award. It is a shame he received it.

Jai ho means Victory/Praise/Glory in Hindi (national language of India (Hindustan)). It's usually a response at the end of prayer song/chant at a Mandir (temple) but it's just "Jai". Kind of like an "Amen!" or "Hallelujah!" If you didn't see the movie, despite all the trials that the main character went through he was honest & true to the end & won! (victory!)
