@Naota88 go under the options and click on the "Configure controller Plugin" You should be able to click the little buttons on there and then click what button you want to asign it too (I;E. Where the L is you should see a little box and beside it a button, the box will show what is currently being used BTW). If that doesn't work, then I dont know what to tell ya.

can any1 jus tell me why cut scenes dont show on the rom..is it a graphics problem or something...like on resident evil 2 whenver they have there little cut scenes when they talk and what not it jus goes black but can hear sound effects jus no speech or picture.....but then when your playing its back to normal...but the problem is jus the speech(talking) gets fucked up and when they have scens that you dont control the screen is jus black....

@XSEAL100 you cant actually DOWNLOAD a graphics card but you can upgrade from an online source like micrsosoft or somthing and for the plugins i dont download te plugins i use the ones that come with the emulator and they work perfectly for me but if your using vista like i am just right click the project 64 icon and create shortcut

then move it to your desktop and rename it or just remove the shortcut part also run it as an administrator

Lemme tell you the story, I got this Net Book that my dad was going to give to my cousins in my country, I was allowed to use it for the next 5 months, so I downloaded a Project64 Emulator and played Paper Mario On it but he took it away because it was time to give it and I can't play it on my com because it got upgraded to 7 and deleted most of m plug-ins!

@cenarey123 in the top box of the emulator find and click options and then click configure controller plugin and then set the controls to what you want btw S means Start and A would be the select button so just use what you set to select them

Guys... you can change the controls by going to "Options"...then "Configure controller plugin". Just set the buttons how you want them to be. ▲

Hey, I already have installed P64 on my pc, and works wonderfully. With my USB Xbox 360 controller, playing N64 games never felt better :)

I got a question, though: can you play splitscreen with other people on the same computer as long as you have enough separate Gamepads plugged in? I was wondering if one could play with friends as well.

Thanks for answering my unasked question, man. I've been trying to get Project 64 working for days now-the plugins don't seem to exist on my copy. VISTA FAILS!!! Can anyone recommend an alternative emulator? I already have an emulator called 1964, but it kind of...sucks. That's why I tried Project 64, incidentally...

bah, can easily get it to work and stuff, but when i try to make a file on Zelda, the letters don't come up when i press on them... only makes a piping sound and jumps down to END, any1 have any idea how to fix this?

are you using a controller or your keyboard? i have the zelda:ocarina of time, and i do not have any problems. it may be either a corruption in the download, but make sure your keys are set right if you're using the keyboard.

i find using my roommates xbox360 controller to work well (he has a wired usb one) and all you have to do is download the files from microsoft to get it to work.

Every Project 64 1.6 I try to download from your links and others Avast keeps saying Jabo_dinput.dll is a Trojan.

Project 64 will not install without it.

Does anyone else have that dll in their Project64 folder ?

ok so i figured it out. you have to right click on your avast icon on the bottom and click "stop on-access protection" and then click yes that you are sure you want to stop it.

it is not a trojan, but it is coming up as a trojan for some reason because of how the emulator is working. after you load project 64, you can turn on your avast again if you like. you might have to redownload project 64 if u deleted the necessary files or plugins when your avast detected the file.

it may have just been by chance though. avast doesn't always tell me it sees it as a trojan, because thats why it startled me because it hadn't done it in awhile, and i also hadn't played it in awhile, and i had forgotten that my friend told me awhile back to turn off my avast whenever i start it up.

Yea VVVV you need the plug ins you need 3 plugins to play pj64 you can get them on the EMU forums ...register there and you can download the pack in .zip format ...you need winrar for all this to so you can unzip the rom files

when i open my PJ64it brings up a message saying direct3d failed to initialize you HAL device make sure you have a properly configured 3d graphics card compatible with direct2d 6.0 then i click ok and another message says the default or selected video plugin is missing or invalid. check that you have at least one compatible plugin file in your plugin folder. any help with this??
