@growlalot2 thanx for passing them on to Donnie! Luckily I was able to get somebody (Frank - a fan of Sounds of all things) to put the tapes onto DVD!
the theme music from After Dark is a grab from the Tom Verlaine track Breakin' In My Heart. It was laid down to video cuts of various major artists of the '80's - so at one stage it actually seems like Carlos Santana is playing the guitar riff. After Dark was produced on a shoestring budget, actually no budget apart from studio time. It was organised by a group of music-loving employees at Channel 7 and many great guests who gave their time totally free.
@growlalot2 thank you so much for the information. its much appreciated. i had gotten to know donnie and he didn't ever tell me that info. it's great! how do ou know about the additional info, particularly the show being organised by a group of music-loving employees?
Ahh! Cos I was one of them :) The four years of After Dark were lots of fun, met some great artists. Sadly a growing number are no longer with us. But their music and the mayhem lives on!
@growlalot2 that's excellent! I've been through quite a bit just to get hold of these After Dark episodes (as well as the few episodes of Sounds). Would you by chance have any shows or clips of the two mentioned shows. I always ask that question to those who were involved or had watched the show at the time.
Unfortunately no. I passed the only ones I had onto Donnie a while back. I think a number of the ones you have posted are those videos.
Its good to see them again-thanks for posting on YouTube.

@dannipolock i have no idea who made the theme music to After Dark... I thinking it might be Santana, but most likely it isn't.
