I was one year old when this song came out. This genre defines every cell in my being. Nothing brings me the feeling of soul like these old jams. The music nowadays are few and far between but lack the "buttah" feeling that the music during this era had.
This is definitely when love ballads were just that, with true feeling and expression. I just wish they still made them like that today. This song came from a generation when music was really music and was enjoyable and sincere.

Saw The Whispers on14 May 2011 at The 02 Indigo London, England. Brillient show .Before the show ended one of the twins gave me a rose which I still have. @WhyYouJelly if you listen to Randy Crawford's version of "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" on the soundtrack of Lethal Weapon 2, and Oleta Adams CD Come Walk With Me, you'll hear me playing an organ that's in tune with the track. Also you can see videos of me playing on my youtube page. Apparently the organ on "Lady" was overdubbed to a sped up track resulting in an intonation
