  • The Lord surely led me here today. How rich and exquisite the 'Song Book' of Keith Green & his best buddy 'Jesus the Christ'. I have many memories of Keith, all of them involve tears of joy at being led deeper into the light of God's grace. Grace I do not & did not deserve. And, yes I'm crying again today, thank you Jesus for sharing Keith with all of us.

  • Who said songs can't be long? If you ever write a song don't follow what critics say, write what ever is on your heart. Thumbs up if you agree!!!

  • I have loved Keith Green's music since I was 12, and still have several cassettes. When i was 12, he had been gone from this world about two years, and though that has always made me kinda sad, I can't help but think of the incredible impact his life and heart and work have had and are still having so many years and even generations later. God knew what He'd made, and I thank Him for putting this gift in the world when He did. I still feel blessed to have this music.

  • our lives are pass by so fast here, out ime is short, we have one life to live.. when this time over, we will be before the Father, I´m glad to know that Keith had something to present his Lovely Father That Day!!!!! Gospel is Justice, Peace and Joy in the Holy Ghost, just this... so much freedom even dead we´re more alive than the living ones here, We´re Burning Ones fueled by the Love of Jesus

  • Don't think Brother Green, would appreciate his videos proceeded by political commercials ?

  • Thanks for the amazing and varying testimonies some users shared. It's so good to read them!

@REVW196 I would turn the commercials off if I knew how to do that, sorry. To be clear: I don't earn any money from them (so that wasn't the reason to post this video). I hope you (and others) will still be blessed by the vid. Greetings, Simeon

  • This piece still brings tears to my eyes for the memories it brings back. My mother had the record, and we used to blast it through the whole house on the stereo, singing along with it. Still one of my all-time favorites.

  • @cyhiraethbanshee this piece has been an incredible influence since my brother and I used to blast it IN 2000, 2001... my dads friend gave him keith in the 80's we relived every song... your comment meant enough for me to sign in and write : THANK YOU FOR SHARING ;)

  • No he didn't led Damkani to Christ, I remember now, but Damkani lived in the mesianic center of Keith Green.

  • Keith Green isn't that the guy who led Yakov Damkani to the Lord?

  • Thankyou for posting this online. I have not heard this suite is over 20 years and It is still relevant today and beautiful. Keith was such a god given talent. I am so sorry that some people on your page have choosen to write such inapropriate things. The Keith I knew was a deadly honest, pure hearted man who cared about everyone. He was also very much human and knew it. alot of what he wrote was related to his own inner turmoil and reconciling with the lord.

  • My Piano teacher was right! this is a beautiul song, I cried when I lisent this song for first time :)

  • Not just one of my favorite Keith Green songs, but one of my all-time favorite songs ever. Jesus lives!!!

  • It's never too late for anyone!Thank you Lord Jesus!

  • one of the great songs.

  • Wow! I have not heard this in years. I absolutely love it. Thanks so much for sharing.:)

  • I saw a video that said the Jesuits had Keith Green murdered via a plane crash. Anyone have more info on that?

  • @brutus64 No, but i don't think it matters. Jesus gave him all he had. Let's focus on that

  • @brutus64 Whether it was murdur or an accident I don't know. He died in a plane crash yes. I really advise people to read his book 'Keith Green'; it shows the naief and determined devotion of him to doing good and living like a honest christian, and is an very good source of inspiration to be real. I'm saying this as a ex-christian, so imagine ;)

  • How beautiful from one of the most touching parables in the Bible. I truly believe Keith finished his work on earth. I hope and pray that I do the same. Jesus said that the harvest is ripe, but the laborers are few.

  • Best worship song I have ever heard. Praise the Lord.

  • You are the church. Be!

  • @JohnE2x I think what you were saying was: YOU are the Church, Keep a clean heart and a strong Temple.

The World needs it more than you know.

  • @Seabass70x7 jglmmedia . com a free site with great stuff

  • @JohnE2x Tools to change your world

  • You can see the love of God emanating through Keith's eyes in that picture.

  • As a Christian composer and (occasional) worship songwriter, I am very appreciative of Keith's work :) I like how his music never got "fleshy" like so much of CCM. Also, what a beautiful voice! God bless this man! oh wait, He did ;)

  • a Very touching song.. God Loves so much ..

  • This is a masterpiece!

  • Prijs de Heer!

    Haleluja!

  • Miss him so much, but never get tired of listening to his genius!

  • One of my favorite Christian Song Writers and musicians! One day I will meet you! Powerful Song! I have heard this song hundreds of time and still shed a tear of how Much God Loves His Children. I feel like Keith wrote this song about me.

  • thank you, God bless

  • wonderful to hear this in its entirety. Thank you!

  • God used this song to bring me to Him. That is why Keith Green will also remain in my heart. An amazing man who died too young but who has now been enjoying God's presence for many years now.

  • He actually wrote this before he became a Christian. ...just a fun fact for ya

  • @fishlips99 interesting! Did not know that.

  • all the elect are prodigal sons.

  • There is good people and bad people.

  • RIP keith..... i am the prodigal son........ love 2 all

  • What a great minister through music! Wish he was still around today!

  • Keith Green's music has been heavily influential in my Christian development. It is great to see in hind sight how much he understood the Grace of God, that the submission to the Lordship of Christ is central to our salvation and the gift of the Holy Spirit's power in our Christian walk is paramount. I'm so glad God gave me his music. He had such a strong burden for the Lord and sharing the Gospel. May his music continue to share the Gospel with future generations.

  • I'm no christian at all. I do not believe in God, nor do I believe in any other superhuman beings other than extraterrestrial intelligence. I rather describe myself pantheist. I believe that everything, living or soulless, is God. I love this piece though.

  • Keith so expressed the heart of God in his music!

  • cool ....

  • My parents had this CD when it was first put on CD, and they would put it on most Sunday mornings while we got ready for church, or even when my mom was cleaning the house on Saturdays. Love this song. The piano opening is amazing.

  • This song just about transports me to heaven.

Can't wait to meet you Keith and embrace you!

  • NO COMPROMISE!!!!!!

  • @imarkit read the book - this song and the No Compromise book got me back on the rails at Uni 20 years ago.

  • Remember that God and religion do not always mean the same thing. God is God, regligion is man-made and therefore fallable. You may have been thought little of by the pastor but in the end the least shall be first. God loves you regardless... you know that. Let that truth shine in you, regardless of what man may tell you.

  • i dont know if its him or not but he died in a airplane crash

  • This song has touched my soul for the last 28 years of my Christian walk......I weep everytime I hear this song because of the beautiful picture of God's love for us...He is the loving Father welcoming home the wayward child with open arms of love and forgiveness....Oh what love the Father has for us!

  • I know it seems that there are no caring Christian churches out in the world, but I have been a part of several truly loving churches that pull in new people, making them feel wanted, and are active both in doing the Lord's work (locally & worldwide), and in teaching & ministering to both members and those outside the church, with money not a central concern. God's people can be found both inside & outside His churches. The fellowship & support of a good church can be amazing.

  • Keith Green has turned my life around with his music and his life story. God is amasing!!!

  • i think that GOD almighty took him to heaven to lead the worship there! RIP KEITH

  • When the Father speaks after the son comes home I cry just about every time. The love the Father had for a wayward child is so touching and tender. The reason I cry is because the Heavenly Father loves like that. He loves me like that. He loves you like that if you've been born again by the blood of Jesus. Oh, thank you Lord for your love towards sinners who don't deserve it.

  • How blessed we are to have these beautiful songs by such an annointed man.

  • Keith Green will be a missed soul on earth. My cousin gave me a Keith Green cassette (yes cassette)when i was 13 and if it weren't for that, i woulld not be alive today!prodigal son.... may he always return :)The Lord is my shepard and i shall NOT want!

  • @antssis Cassette lol I so know what you mean... My Dad has all his records.... We use to listen to them after we got back from church as we made lunch right before watching football.... Oh such fond memories... My Dad Keith Rinas worked for Last Days and GFA, He also put all the fair well tour dates together after Green's death.

  • VERY good song

  • i love this song i remember wene i used to go to the elim Christian fellowship as a kid then it was taken over by a preacher who pushed all us people with no money out the door just because he could have the richest church in my old town iam now 42 years old 30 years on and i still long for gods love but remember how little i was thought off .

  • @tonydw1 It's so sad to hear another such a story :(. Praying for you right now that you might find a church in which God finds joy (and in which you will!), and that you will experience God's enormous love for you more and more. If you wish to conversate sometime send me a personal message.

  • @Sumeoon I don't believe God wants us in churches right now. As I've studied prophesy, as well as listen to great men in the field of Prophesy, Hal Lindsey for one. I feel that God is tired of his children being deceived by the men who claim to minister in the name of Jesus. But too much is happening in the world, too much that should raise the shouts of every True Christian, and it is oh so quite. Just a few of us are shouting out. Jesus will soon come and bring judgment on non-believers.

  • @Sumeoon i dont no who u r you may a young lad or old man. or a young girl or old lady but thank you i wish i could tell u what happened after your post days latter i was in tescos and met to christians i used to no and they are coming to my house tomorrow thank you please keep in touch @ downmor@aol.com thats my email address

  • @tonydw1 God be praised!!! Starting an email to you right now :D

  • @tonydw1 he will never have the richest church in the town. The people of God, filled with the spirit-THEY are the riches of the church. Without them, the church is dead. Now, probably, the building is just a building. A parking lot would be more useful there. I hope you find a church filled with love and the Spirit's fire.

  • @tonydw1 i don't no who person that replied to me wene i told of my experience of my young self but thank you please contact me my email address is downmor@aol.com

  • @tonydw1 i have been there. it hurts like few things do. someone should write a book titled "accepted by heaven, rejected by the church" . i just don't get what's going on. i would love to serve god but all any church or organization wants is money and not you.

  • @tonydw1 That is sad to hear, I believe that Keith would tell you that that is why you should put your faith in God and not in man because man is just man and God is awesome.

  • @tonydw1 ONE OF THE GREATEST SONGS I'VE EVER HEARD.

  • @tonydw1 That church will die. It will be another building. It will produce nothing but religion. Religion kills everything-though, joy, true intimacy with God. I'm a Christian, don't get me wrong. I believe in the whole Bible, Jesus is the only way. But I hate hate religion. It's a poison, a cancer that rots and kills. Jesus didn't go postal on drunks or adulterers, he went postal on RELIGIOUS people. They were whitewashed tombs, empty and dead, and they were unclean.

  • @tonydw1 you are loved brother from another mother! in Christ, G

  • @tonydw1 Wow man- You wrote this 9 months ago. I pray that the Lord has restored you to perfect fellowship with Himself and His people. Indeed HE is ALWAYS good. The "Church" however, well not always. Nevertheless, He didn't tell us to seek the Church, but Him. amen?

  • Respond to this video... There are not words to describe the gift Keith had to illuminate the heart of God. This song is yet another amazing example. it is one of my favorites. Keith Green is by far my favorite Christian songster of all time. The era is over, but not the message!

  • @tonydw1 Just wanted to let you know God says He's going to have some special judgement waiting for those church leaders. Pretty much all of them just think about the money. They don't seek His face and they make themselves fat off the sheep, thinking only of the money they get by throwing Jesus' name around and galvanizing God's sheep with their theological-denominational-divisions and pontifications. God hates that. Because the pastors didn't do their job, His sheep are scattered.

  • @tonydw1 Sorry It had to happen to you but God will never chase His own. That was an act of man but God still loves you very much. I hope you turned out great.

  • @tonydw1 I think a loving heavenly father would take everyone to heaven. I think a loving Christ would claim all of humanity as his prize. I think the orthodox doctrine of hell where 90 % of the human race goes to eternal concentration camp is obscene & simply not reality & cannot be part of a God worthy of worship. The doctrine of hell is like slavery: It needs to be discarded. You think that a good God would damn people for thinking the Bible is fiction?try Robert Price

  • This is Excellent

  • Excellent

  • I have a couple of his albums, just as stiring today as when they were new. Awesome hand of a loving Father on his life. Thank you for sharing these profound "memories".

  • @Anjafa Yeah, I wish that too, man. Always praying for my older brother who lost his faith. You should look up Leeland's "Tears from the saints", it's really good.

Blessings! (To all of you, yeah you too, reader of this sentence ;))

  • @Sumeoon Tears for the Saints is a really good song :)

  • This song came straight from heavens throne - It shows Gods heart for us in such a real way.. Man, I wish everyone could know Jesus.. I mean really know him, thank you Lord my eyes have been opened...

  • Thank you! I haven't heard this in ages!

  • Top music as a methodist minister in UK this kind of music is a no no situation but for me the joy of my Christ is just like this heavenly praise i get shivers down me back when i sing and hear this tune, from being a ex convert from the muslim priesthood my shacles are of to enjoy and be blessed by gods people singing praise to our king for the fallen will not rise if we go to war with praise

  • @1962sharif Amen brother praise Jesus! Thanx for the testimony! May God bless you and keep you! Grow in the faith, grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ!

  • @DividedSeedrox thank you for your encourgment and blessing and peace to you this day

  • @1962sharif This "kind of music" helped this Prodigal Son come home to his Heavenly Father, "Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." Matthew 9:37

We are honored to have you with us, in Christ. You may find this group enjoyable "Andrus, Blackwood & Co "

  • I love how they put this song together. God bless you Keith Green.

  • I had the pleasure of seeing him perform in concert at Knott's Berry Farm in CA a long long time ago.....my all time favorite Christian artist!!!

  • Beautiful story sung by Keith Green. One of the greatest parables Jesus taught us on the unconditional love that God has for us.

Mateus 25:21

  • this is still a great story that is truly inspiring and has stood the test of time

  • So true...so deep...cannot be denied!

  • @drtedkennedy thank you for sharing! May God bless you. Greetings from Holland

  • Prodigal son was the first Keith Green's song that I ever heard! IT touched me all the way to my soul! I was so moved, that I wept, and wondered how I missed this servant of God! I could have met him, but didn't find the time when I was alive. But thank God, his music found me. I also think that this was the greatest Christian song ever! What a song!

  • @drtedkennedy ----I am still alive. I wish I had met him while he was still alive. It is so strange, that we deeply appreciate someone when they are gone! If God places someone in your life that touches you for HIM, appreciate them when they are alive! Pastor Ted Kennedy from Vietnam

  • @drtedkennedy amen brother! Keith is still being used by the Lord!
