  • OMG,Strika from. Beast machines!! And Spittor from beast wars,in his cybertronian form!!!! I love this cartoon!!!

  • wow. Team Chaar is full of decepticons that are HUGE.

  • Wow, the guy with the tounge actually turned into a frog! xD Why would they make a protoform mold shaped like that? Thats... thats just weird!

  • @LordManda2

He's actually a mech. He's based on the planned Cybertronian mode for Beast Wars character Spittor (who transforms into a frog). You can see a Spittor repaint character in one of AeonMagnus' video "BWII: Galvatron Drill-tank mode".

  • I love how Jazz just doesn't give a fuck about formality.

  • you should upload the whole fight where team chaar kills rodimus

  • @ricemazter "TFA: Opening Sequence from "TransWarped", video id: f0N526GxgUw

BTW, Rodimus Prime survived the Cosmic Rust and recovered on Cybertron.

  • @AeonMagnus I kind of find this whole "Rodimus survived" thing hard to believe since we never see him again after this. I know that certain sites say he survived, but for me, that's not saying much.

  • 75 rockers, 1 - sucker

  • Strika's voice sounds like the voice of this Canadian lesbian pedophile who used to teach at my school. Like seriously. In fact, I'm kind of convinced that she voiced Strika and was mistakenly credited as Tara Strong.

  • is strika a girl

  • @donvietnguyen Yes.

  • I used to hate this show when it first aired. But nowadays I have mixed feelings about it. It's not as bad as I thought it was, but that's not to say that I thought it was the best TF series ever. It had its ups and downs. But then again, everything has its ups and downs.

  • @MDthornton83 I think one should give it a pass for this one. Because there is TF media out there that has barely any "ups", while one might dislike the animation style here, it was still one of the better series, plot and character vise.

Instead of the typical 90-s stock villain Megatron from the G1 cartoon, he is a really badass and dangerous foe here, Optimus has far more depth as the Mary Stue from the old one, and thats not even mentioning the rest of the cast.

  • @Hyeesa I respect this series for what it is. But for me, nothing comes close to G1. I know I'm old school, but that's how it is for me. And for the record, I actually prefer Optimus as the head cheif rather than a rookie.

  • @MDthornton83 A matter of taste i guess. I prefer G1 one myself of all the Transformers series, but not the cartoon. The comic. For me that will allways be the classic wich gave life to the series. All the characters were introduced there, and while i did like the G1 cartoon as well, i had serious problems with that.

( Shockwave being a passive yes man for Megatron instead the cold ruthless leader who took ower the leadership for a while, all the 80-90 cartoon cliches i hate... ect. )

  • @Hyeesa Well, everything has its cliches. But some cliches are actually quite refreshing. But I respect the fact that you had problems with some of the problems that plagued G1. I can't argue with that.

  • i tried to watch this when it 1st aired n them first couple of episodes seemed kinda corny to me cause their wasnt too many real battles between autobots n decepticons and for a few episodes it was the same transformers all the time, but since i watched them on youtube i seen alot of g1 classic oand other future transformers

  • i like how that cyclonus and oil slick were looking at each other strika looking at spittor and blackout and spittor looking at eachother

  • I thought strika was brawl before

  • How? how did you mistake Strika for brawl?

  • Strika = Strika (obviously)

    Blackout = Obsidian

    Cyclonus = Jetstorm

    Oil Slick = Thrust

    Spittor = Tankor

  • these new decepticons i like

  • I see Strika, Spittor, Cyclonus, Oil Slick, and Blackout

  • strika and lugnut are married? o_0

  • Don't worry, they may just be living in sin.

    consort 1

    noun |ˈkänˌsôrt|

a wife, husband, or companion, in particular the spouse of a reigning monarch.

  • @AeonMagnus I wonder what Obsidian would say on this!

  • @Slixer blackout looks like obsidian to me,he and lugnut are pretty much the same

  • @piplup2009 dude is strika even a girl

  • Yes, she is. Just like Beast Machines Strika.

  • @AeonMagnus thats cuz it IS Strika. u know that right?

  • @viperrcm0214 I know she's Strika. I was noting the origin of the homage, since she and Beast Machines Strika are not the same "person", given this is a different universe.

  • @AeonMagnus yeah but i think animated an g1 have the best universe cause g1 has adopted a few people over the years they even brought in lugnut to g1

  • @jamesshadowlordtv Lugnut? are you serious? the one they brought to G1 was LOCKDOWN

  • @Axel7043 uh yes they did and i dont know about lockdown

  • @jamesshadowlordtv Lugnut in G1. Really. So tell me, who exactly told that? source?

  • @Axel7043 Hasbro and Takara both released a new Lugnut figure inspired by Animated Lugnut; Takara into their United line, Hasbro into their Movie-blurs-into-G1 toyline. Google RTS Lugnut. Pretty much the same deal as HFTD Lockdown.

  • @Axel7043 they added him when they made reveal the shield line check out transformers wiki

  • @Axel7043 transformer wiki cause of the reveal the shield line

  • RIP Rodimus. Hopefully we'll see you in some other TF universe that'll give you better treatment.

  • Strika was hotter in Beast machines.

  • strika, blackout, oilslick, slapper (or spitor, it don't mater) and CYCLONUS

  • I love the background music in this scene for some reason. :]

    I love Team Chaar, lol.

  • Strika.

  • @AeonMagnus is that strika from beast machines?

  • Since this is a different universe, it's not the exact same Strika. However, Animated Strika is based on/inspired by Beast Machines Strika.

  • @AeonMagnus And they do appear to have the same voice-overs.

  • TFA Strika's voice is obviously influenced by BM Strika, but they're different voice actors. Tara Strong, who primarily voices Sari in Transformers Animated, does TFA Strika.

  • they should make an animated Obsidian.

    but please give him legs.

  • lol "but the Cons' are goin' splitsville"

  • God damn, I love Megatron's voice

  • Another thing, the robotic effect on her voice hides/blocks her femenine tone. You get it?

  • not only is strika a femme, she's also lugnut's consort. yes, THAT lugnut.

    ...

can you imagine those two... yeah, i'm gonna need some brain bleach!

  • It's a callback to Beast Machines, where Strika was Obsidian's consort.

  • Yup, Strika is a -she-.

  • Which was pretty much business-as-usual for Beast Machines.

  • @AeonMagnus is oilslick the only con in this scene that has a toy?

  • No, Blackout is getting one.

  • are oilslick and blackout the only ones that WILL get a toy?

  • Of Team Chaar, yes.

  • strika is clearly a femcon

and she is obviously the leader

wtf oilslick is a tank bike why cant hasbro make the toys right instead of his earth mode

  • ....Wait....Strika's a GIRL???....

    0.o

  • She was a girl in Beast Machines as well.

  • Oh...Well, I have yet to watch Beast Machines...>_>;

  • so many incredible toys that will never be made, I would have loved Spittor and Strika. At least we are getting Blackout

  • wow i wish there was a strika figure!

  • whoa! was that cyclonus at the back?!

  • Team Chaar really should have had more screentime, especially Cyclonus.

  • and blackout...fuck oilslick

  • Team Chaar is awesome. A refrence to G1 Decepticons (Cyclonus),the BW Predacons (Spitor),BM Vehicons (Strika),a Bay movie variant (Blackout), and a Mini-con (Oil Slick).

  • woh did not notice all those refrences forgot skrika was even bm

  • @CrimsomS black out spittor and cyclonus are the best i think

  • I like Strika best.

  • Spittor's from Beast Wars? Really? I was a big fan of Beast Wars but I don't recall him in that series.

That's what I like about this TFA. It pulls in alot of different characters and storys from the Transformers history.

  • He's from the toyline. There were quite a few characters that didn't make it into the series because the cost of CGI meant they had to keep the cast small. The Predacons from Robots In Disguise (Slapper, Gas Skunk, Dark Scream and Sky Byte) were all redecos of Beast Wars toys. Indeed, Slapper was a redeco of one of the Spittor figures.

  • Spittor was just a toy for Beast Wars, he never actually appeared in the story.

  • he was not on TV screen this is the first time this name is on TV screen

  • I watch this and I relize that there are alot of 'Cons that I don't recall from my childhood watching Transformers.

I remember Cyclonus from the 86 movie. I know Blackout, but don't remeber him from the original series. And the rest, I don't recall period.

Are Spittor, Oil Slick & Strika from later G1 Seasons or one of the many other series?

  • Blackout calls back to the 2007 live action movie, Spittor is from Beast Wars, Strika is from Beast Machines, and Oil Slick is a new character (the name is borrowed from a couple of earlier characters, but this is not intended to be a TFA representation of any of them).

The character inspirations aren't limited to just G1 - there are references all over the place to lots of different series.

  • No need for name-calling.

  • Strika seems Onslaught of the G1!!!!

  • splitsville

    LOLZ

  • zomg = z o my god its like omg= o my god

but with a *z* in it

  • obsidian hovered since he was a helicopter

  • Strika's feet were always touching the ground, but I got the idea she hovered just due to the one scene where they had a blue glow in "Spark of Darkness" but they now resemble wheels when I watch more closely.

  • Well, I'll watch the episode on youtube.

  • No, he hovered WAY above the ground. I dont remember her having wheels on her feet because they had a blue-ish glow on the bottom.

  • What the-- That's a girl!? zomg, I spy Cyclonus in that group.

  • i HATE Strika's feet. There small cylinders.

  • Just like the Beast Machines original, who had vehicle-mode wheels on her feet.

  • I rented the series a few weeks ago from netflix and I think I remember her having hover feet.

  • Strika sounds French to me.

  • i think spanish

  • That too.

  • blackouts fucking giant

  • dang it...oh well...still a nice reference ^_^

  • I hope Spittor come as a toy (Deluxe or Voyager?)

  • wait....they are on Charr!!!?? HAHAHAHA! another G1 reference!! yay cosmic rust!! LOL!

  • I couldn't stop laughing when Jazz said, "Splitzville".

  • Oil Slick's in the series. Finally!!!

  • yea but hes goes james bond on rodimus

  • ?????????

  • he pretty much almost kills rodimus

  • are u talking about the cosmic rust? i'm sure he's a goner...only Corostop can save him and it's very hard to find!

  • nah, hes still alive

  • how do you know? XD i hope you're right! i love Rodimus (Hot Rod)!!

  • foolz he should be dead that much cosmic rust on him would mean he's just dust now

  • well, if i were Cosmos, i'd be finding some Corostop!

  • can anyone tell me what kind of accent strika has?

  • I believe it's German. I imagine they voiced her with one of those big butch matronly Helgas in mind.

  • Strika, Ain't she from Beast Machine!

  • Sorta a Russian thing I think

  • Went back for another listen, this time with the word "Russian" in mind and, yeah, I agree it's Russian (or Russian-adjacent).

  • Slavic, maybe.

  • @GWolfV2 yeah cause it is lol man i wish we had demolisher{armada} terrorsaur{bw} and other great characters

  • it sounds like what ever country Dracula's from

  • Probably Russian, along the lines of the "evil Soviet" character.

  • According to Derrick Wyatt's Twitter account, her accent is Pottsylvanian , wherever that is.

  • Pottsylvania is a fictional country that was in rock and bullwinkle

  • Yes I KNEW that but I didn't know if he was being serious or just screwing with the audience when he mentioned that Strika had a Pottsylvanian accent.

  • you said wherever that is, that implies you thought it was real

  • That's basically what I meant. I didn't know if Derrick said Pottsylvanian accent as if he meant Pottsylvania was real or if he just mentioned the fictional country as a joke.

  • ok i understand now

  • @fishpop its a russain

  • i am suprised that blackout is in there as well

  • @molokaidragon yeah odd right i thought we would get demolisher or some one like that

  • Oil slick is so sweet in this, I went out and got the toy today

  • yeah it's really cool ain't it you can get him like swiping his foot

  • uhh...I guess

  • I never excpect cyclonus to be here

  • All we're missing now is Scourge and Galvatron.

  • I don't know about Galvatron, but a TFA Scourge toy's coming out at Botcon.

  • TFA Scourge toy? Can't wait for that! (Although I'm suspecting it's merely a recolor but I'll wait and see first)

  • Google "Botcon Scourge". He's a recolor of Cybertron Sideways, but he's got a head remold and he looks pretty nice.

  • Botcon Scourge isn't in the TFA universe; it will be part of Timelines. They just reused the "Elite Guard" concept which goes back as far as G1 Cyclonus and "Five Faces of Darkness".

  • and the sweeps

  • Now THAT would be awesome 'Falcovsleon21'!

  • Too bad we don't see him that much though.

  • @kluang1 yeah i would excpect g1 thrust or dirge or some one

  • You can tell that Team Charr is going to eventually get to Earth, because Oil Slick had treads in this scene,

    while the toy has wheels

  • yeah i even have his toy

  • He`s also has a black torso, while the toy is a different color, and the skull on his shoulder looks more robotic then the toy.
