TLP Examples: Changing Beam Sprites

Nice tut. I got a question about that tlp editing. When I export the pallette (however you spell it) for samus's defualt suit and edit the suit, the suit wont show up in game. I edited all of the animation tiles for her suit and saved it directly to the rom. Do you know what I did wrong?

Is it possible to edit OTHER game sprites? I am a fan of SM too, but I want to edit Advance Wars sprites
