  • Hey, i have bought this and its really great, except i have a fuzzy sound in the background through usb. Everything else is crystal clear, except that. Which is a real pain for recording... Have you got any idea what could be wrong, or how to fix it?

  • will this work with a usb mic?

  • @Tytan1um no, when you see "usb" it means that it has a usb output. usually there isn't need to have a mixer with a usb mic as you can just use software.

  • pretty good

  • if you use a phantom powered condenser mic can you still use a normal dynamic mic at the same time?

  • Hi!

I wondered if it's possible to change the audio OUTPUT to the USB-Mixer instead of the built in pc-speakers?

I see that you changed the audio INPUT to the USB-Mixer, so i therfore wondered if was possible to the same to the OUTPUT?

    By the way, great review!

  • Hey great helpful video. Does the power plug come with the mixer when you buy it?

  • hi i want to know, could i connect my guitar and mic at same time, i also whant to know is there output for the speekers.. or do i need amplifire...??

  • @mustafaakdenizlim

Hi - you dont connect the guitar directly, unless you have an electro-acoustic or an electric with a preamp pedal. You'll need to run the output through to a power amp/PA in order to drive speakers.

  • @6andywragg9 thanx for your help...

  • Does the USB lead come with the mixer or do i need to buy one seperatley ? If so where did you get yours from ?

  • I'm getting a different mixer but do you think the majority of instructions will still apply? Thanks.

  • so, my question is this... can you record each channel separately for example 4 drum kits in this case via usb to let say Cubase? so you can edit each one for it self?

  • i got PV8 USB and how can i konfigure it with FL Studio ?

  • @GameParish

Hi, I havn't used FLStudio at all - sorry.

  • @6andywragg9 np. i connectet my keyboard and my computer. and another thinks. :D but thx

  • Thank you. You did the greab job. I am going to get this. This is giving me a wonderful ideas. =)

  • @bigmarc2121 If the mac book has USB connectors I suppose so. To be honest you would be better with a firewire interface mixer.

  • good start andy to the pv6, thanks. couple of questions if you don't mind!

i want to use the mixer to add to my existing NS7 DJ hardware. The NS7 has only one mic input and i want to have the use of 2 or 3 mics for karaoke. Does the PV6 have a single jack output to go into my single jack input on the NS7?

question 2, does the mixer come with reverb/echo etc built in, and can there be different settings for each chanel?

Your time and help is much appreciated.

    Colin

  • @p5ety

You'll be able to use up to 4 Mic's with the PV6 and no it doesnt have any effects - Sorry for the slow response

    Andy

  • hi andy,

great video v helpfull ive just got a pv6 usb and cant figure out how to actually connect to my computer do i need to buy any extra cables as all i have got is the ac adapter and the ones for my mic???? if so which ones and should they have come with the mixer????

thanks would be a real help if could tell me

    cheers!

  • @gilesevans540

Hi and thanks for the feedback. You will need a USB cable the same as what you'd use with a printer. These arent provided in the box.

    Cheers

    Andy

  • Good video! Subscribed!

  • HI Guys - for those of you enquiring about the USB connection. This allows you to play a tune on the PC and inject that tune into the PV-6 mix, and record it at the same time. Pretty cool.

So you could lay down a track and then play it whilst recording another track over the top.

    Cheers

    Andy

  • what i was trying to say i dont have usb port

  • hey i got the Peavey pv6 but i dont have the USB Part...i just got the power OUT AND IN TAPE and no USB thing..

  • @ThaFiljan, There are 2 versions. You bought the PV6. The one with the USB port is called the PV6 USB, and its $30 more.

  • @PolishGuy89 So now i need to buy RCA Cables to plug with my pc...

  • @ThaFiljan, You would need to buy a 3.5 mm to TRS to Dual 1/4 in TS cable. I have some from HOSA Technology and they are really nice and not too expensive.

  • @PolishGuy89 i Bought CABLE-458 3.5mm Stereo plug and i connected the peavey with my pc and i go to my cubase to see my sound it gaved me bad sound..

  • hey, is it possible to do multitrack recording with the usb out? i want to record drums on separate tracks, or assign voices to individual tracks.

  • I suppose you could, but you've only got 2 mono channels with 3 band eq and 2 stereo channels with 2 band eq. If you put the lead guitar and vocals on 1 & 2 and the rhythm and bass on 3 and 5 you should be OK. I haven't really got going with mine yet, just got my V22 miked up on channel1. The best thing is to try it and see what happens.

  • great video, Liked and Subbed! quick question - could i record 2 guitars, bass and vocals with this and after record the drums with 1 overhead mic and one kick drum mic?

  • @wesmatron

Dunno mate - try it see what happens

  • when i press record i keeep hearing like ah static sound

  • @jayrhonb

Hello mate. Can you describe your setup in a bit more detail please.

    Cheers

    Andy

  • Dumb question, is it really worth me using the mixer's soundcard (via USB) over my X-Fi?

  • just some FYI....as its a usb mixer....you CAN also play your computer back through your mixer (without causing a feedback loop) into your mixer's output mains out ). There's a button above the 'contour' that is labeled 'tape/usb to mix' that allows the USB input from the computer to act as a 'tape in'. The input is controlled at the computer's soundcard. It does NOT return back to the computer via USB, thus it does NOT create a feedback loop.

  • Hey Andy,

just wanted to let you know that its you're mixing up gain and channel level.

The Gain level is used for a rough volume setting of the channel, where the channel level is used for more precise handling of the channel volume.

  • @dergeese - No worries mate. As I said in the vid, I'm new to audio recording and am sorting learning as I go along. I've also since discovered that all 4 channels with XLR input can support phantom power. Reading the manual works wonders! So to clear things up, the Gain control is on the mic input section of the mixer, and the Channel level is at the bottom of the channel stack.

  • @Ianswipe - yes it does. Theres a single EFX Send socket just above the headphone socket, and a stereo EFX return (next to the mian outputs), with a EFX return level pot next to the main output level slider.

The main outputs (L/R Channels) are meant to be sent to a power amp or PA. I dont think you could speakers off it unless they have a built in amp. I have plugged the headphone socket into my surround sound system aux channel and it works.

    Hope this helps.

    Happy new year all.

    Andy

  • does it have FX send and return?

and does it have an output for an amplifier? or can you plug speakers straight into it?
