Despite her recent bad press, I have time for this lady. The women of the Liberal party do not appear muzzled and speak out about womens issues. Not so for the Lisa Raitts and the Helena Guergis of the Conservatives..they look like they have post traumatic stress disorder sitting with the old cronies they have to work with. They should move to the Liberals...better situation for them.

women will never have equality if Mothers and carers are not recognised as working when they care for children and elderly. Lets offer all mothers a salary for at least 50 of the 168 hours of chiildcare they give every week. A salary and status would ensure that women have no "gaps" in their employment career and so have full rights, status and access to health, social welfare and pension schemes. A salary to cover 50 hours of childcare would give women a choice to work out or in the home
