Being caught lying is not good for business therefore I presume he wrote the book for financial reasons and in this case being caught lying won't have done his bank balance any harm. He openly admits that his prejudice against Britain comes from the fact that he toured around and got sick of being blamed for everything America does, and needed to deflect the blame. The man who made this book is a prick, I could make about 5 books about the horrors America has brought but I don't because 1) I'm not an idiot 2) America is still a great country, why bash it for no reason? The guy works in advertising- nuff said. I wouldn't be too upset about it, most Americans don't have bad feelings towards the UK and I suspect not even a smidgen of people have bought his book. Hopefully he'll lose money on the whole venture.

@MrDragon1968 I think he works in PR but in my experience (as a magazine publisher) most people can't tell the difference. Being caught lying is not good for business therefore I presume he wrote the book for financial reasons and in this case being caught lying won't have done his bank balance any harm. And now some PR skills are coming to play as we have all heard of this book!

The book actually got a fair amount of exposure in the UK- mainstream UK media outlets were prepared to fairly give him space, but I doubt if it will be a money spinner. He's tried to take it to the level of wanting to claim financial reparations around the world for all the 'injustices' 'Britain' has done. It's a noddy attempt at marketing a flawed product that will fall flat.

What makes me laugh is how many people in Britain just get angry and worked up over it. Even someone as biased as me can admit that is pretty funny and just wave it off....
As for 1984, I'd say that those techniques would far more sinister than what we see here...

He openly admits that his prejudice against Britain comes from the fact that he toured around and got sick of being blamed for everything America does, and needed to deflect the blame. I'd love to know how many empires he's actually studied.

I'm English and have the read the book several times. I think this bloke is just joking to his humour lol, if it s a response to the book, its just God damn bias. Stephen A Grasse has a few points at best, but descriptions are just.... terrible.

Terrorists are a minority of turds who have little support from the people, and lurk around, out of uniform, doing their best to kill innoccent people. If the Britain hadn't occupied Ireland, we'd probably now be speaking Spanish. And nobody disapproved more of the brutality of the army in Ireland more than the English (history lesson coming up - scan through some old newspapers.)
