@Jahbril30 who told you that? k-def himself said marley marl did this one. this track wasn't even featured on the Lost Tapes release of their shelved album which Marley Marl produced tracks were missing. That proves that k-def doesn't have this one or any Marley Marl produced track of their album in his crates.
Do you know how long I have been searching for this video and song. NJ stand up! I miss the fucking 90's. I was in the 10th grade when this came out. Shit brings back memories!
Can anyone tell me who did this cut, it was made by a sample fom the black byrds "Do it fluid" The shit was of the hook, i heard it on the wake up show, think it was made in 97?
@minhasc - TECHNICALLY IT IS SINCE THEY ALL WORKED FOR HOUSE OF HITS. BUT ITS CLEAR THAT MARLEY DIDNT COME UP WITH HALF OF THEM BANGERS!
THE MAJORITY OF THE Lords Of The Underground STUFF WAS produced by KDEF TOO. MARLEY JUST BOUGHT HIS BEATTAPE AND PUT HIS NAME ON IT!!! THIS IS WAY BEFORE PUFFY AND BEYONCE GETTING PRODUCTION CREDITS LOL.. PEACE TO KDEF!!!!!!!
Wow! incredible and intelligent lyrics-He basically said you cannot see God-"as he is mystical as light never ever had a physical" a statemet that holds true. Big shout to the 90's rappers son-word life.......
I have been looking for this song is song for at least 10 plus years. I only saw it on rap city once and couldn't remember if it was come catch a vibe.. thank you for that...
I think Buckshot was pissed because they jacked his " come follow me" phrase. If you listen close it's not even Bucks voice. Years later on the remake of I Ain't No Joke,Buck vents how people sampled his records but then fell off.
@djspair I just heard about that in a interview Seven Shawn(first verse) did with Dope FM(a radio show/podcast out of Hamilton Ontario Canada). Buck was pissed and Sev was flattered but World Renown never really fell-off cause they never really took-off. Warner dropped them round' the same time they dropped their 2nd single "How Nice I Am". And I thought WB Records was on a roll when they had WR and Bush Babees, really dropped the ball on that one. Check the interview still.

My advice is request to be their friend and keep telling them your checking for it and eventually they may break down and release the lost tapes. The release date isn't solid but our best bet is to keep pushin'.
No, John Doe aka Johnny OneEye aka Fat Jesus is cousins wit' Marley Marl. Seven Shawn did a solo album early 2007 and Johnny OneEye has a mixtape album coming out this year. The World Renown Lost Tapes album has been available for almost a year on WR's and K Def's MySpaces. They called it Lost Tapes instead of self titled cause there are 4 tracks missing from the original including this one^(has the remix instead). Still worth it.
