  • It appears to me that the driver of the rossion was not using the right lines and holding enough speed in the corners.. Cuz im pretty sure it could hold the corners much faster than the viper.

  • The Viper driver clearly had a better line. Viper would win if equal drivers were to race.

  • lol the buttom of the screen reminds me of some oldschool racing game i played once xD

  • 1 round after he stopped the video, the feul was empty

  • Okay, don't get me wrong, the Dodge Viper is a BEAUTIFUL Car and it has one heck of an engine under that very long hood as well... but, Vipers are pretty bad at turns, and the Viper closed the gap on the Rossion on EVERY corner...

You could almost feel the Viper driver getting irritated that he couldn't just drift around the outside and speed off into the sunlight... or the next turn... either way!

  • Ah, it seems I was mistaken about it being a GEN3. Still a great track video from a Viper, no less.

  • but the Viper did it all with 0 revs. think if it had actually used its engine ;)

  • 1.4 lateral G's? Those ACR's are quite impressive...

  • I'm confused: you indicate the Rossion pulls away from the Viper and the Viper cannot keep up with the Q1, but then you say they Viper was faster. Which is it?

  • @linesplice

The Viper can not out accelerate the Rossion in the straights, but the Viper clearly out breaks and out handles it by a long shot. All in all there is no chance the Rossion can beat the Viper ACR. However the Rossion beats just about everything else on the track.

  • @rossionracer clearly the viper is a better driver he does the out-in-out way better

  • i thought at the beginning this was a game because of those speedometers xd

  • @rossionracer hey i love the rossion but the acr shuldve smoked the viper, i mean itbeat the enzo by 4 econds on the nurburgring? or were u just laying off the throttle inorder to get a good veiw of the rossion

  • @rossionracer thanks for coming back to the board and filling everyone in on the facts. I love that Viper and how they have the Traqmate setup, more sportscar enthusiasts should record video like these two. That Rossion is pretty wild, but I still love those Vipers.

  • @drakekemper haha you obviously don't know what you are talking about. This is a 2008 viper acr, it has the old transmission which does not have a fixed 5th gear. This means that it loses lots of power when it hits 5th, hence why he won't touch it. On top of that if you have ever driven this track, there is no point in touching 5th. This was a test drive of the cars, they were not competing. You should race the track in these cars before you start telling people how it should be.

  • @rossionracer watch this vid. the owner or rep. or w.e. of Rossion says himself that in the next couple of years there will be newer faster cars. I also own a porsche and am interested in the rossion.

  • If the Rossion ever got to the Nurburgring it would give the Viper ACR a run for its money. Rossion is a brand new company and this is the first car they have released.

In the next 2 years they will release a 650hp version that should drop mid teens around the ring (although it will not be tested their due to cost). 3.8:1 power ratio should be better than any non kit car < $1mil. And while the Q1 is considered a kit car, it is put together just as well as a Porsche is.

  • @SantaPimp27 I'm not to sure about that. More power in a car that barely weighs anything, and has a hard enough time as it is sticking, would not be bright.

  • @CleverWheels - Remember that the Rossion is registered as a kit car in the US. This means they do not have to follow DOT regulations as far as ride height, airbags ect.. Im assuming they will make the necessary adjustments to improve the the downforce of the car like a bigger wing, lower ride height and improved aerodynamics. Might also increase the rubber to be able to put more of the power down. Im also expecting them to limit the boost in the lower gears to help the car put the power down.

  • @CleverWheels Also remember that the Viper ACR is not road legal because of the ride height caused by the front splitter. These are laws Rossion does not have to abide by.

Check out the Ultima GTR. 2,100 lbs and 720hp.

  • @SantaPimp27 You are mistaking the Viper ACR for a comp coupe viper, which is not street legal. The Viper ACR is street legal though. As for the Rossion I certainly do hope so.

  • @sanguinare2222

You don't know how to read very well.

  • Hmm, judging by the comments I see, you guys can't read. Allow me to help you with that. "This was not a race between the two cars" They were simply cruising around the track at high speeds getting a feel for it. If you drive a front engine vehicle, don't assume you can drive a rear engine vehicle. Quite a different ride.

  • The Q1 does well, but an ACR will beat pretty much anything with 4 wheels. I'd still love to get my hands on a Q1 though.

  • no offence meant, but the Rossion driver didnt hit one apex and spent more time like he was driving on the road rather than a track

  • is the rossion q1 faster than a c6 z06? f430? r8 v10? viper acr? on a straight line race from a 40mph roll.

  • The biggest draw back in its race against an ACR is the gearing. Every striaght the viper doesn't need to shift. In many sets the Viper reaches 130+ on the up hill straight where the Q1 is forced to shift at 108 and looses boost and runs out of time to get back in the power.

The Q1 is 1000 lbs lighter, but must break sooner since it lacks the down force

and grip associated with the extra weigh and tirest. Its rear tires are smaller than the Viper's Front tires, forget about the Viper's rears .

  • All in all the Q1 holds its own.

It beats 99% the cars it comes up against in its class. On the street given room to run, it will out acceleralte even the quickest cars from launch to about 150mph.

It has since gone 10.88 in the quarter and is probably one of the scariest cars I have ever driven, and I have driven almost everything.

It lacks the finess of more expensive cars, but makes up for it in grin factor.

If you get a chance to drive a Q1, I would take it!

  • After several months of practice with the Q1,

    it has improved massively.

It picked up 2.4 seconds since this video.

    Several factors were involved.

First off the car is 60/40 weight balance to the rear.

As a front engine driver it takes time to relearn the new configuration.

In addition, the shocks were upgraded to a custom Penske (not sure that helped at all).

The motor has more break in time and hence produces better power.

  • Rossion built in my hood Pompano Beach FL. I raced one yesterday on My 2009 Yamaha FZ1 and took him down but it was competitve.

    they come with 450 HP, 11 sec 1/4 mil; 0-60 3 sec.

  • Rossion is built in South Africa, flown to Pompano missing drivetrain. Everything else is complete.

  • The viper is a v10...and the q1 is a v-6??

    WTF

That shows that bigger isn't always better

And is the Q1 a kit car?

  • rpm?

  • and yeah. the info says that anywho.

  • in all reality, both are very fine cars. however, the viper is obviously holding back. the cornering for the q1 is impressive; however, the numbers easily tell you that that viper could leave it in the dust. so this is definitely for testing reasons. like at 2:52 - that's when he really gives it gas to catch the q1 around that Porsche. ...

    ...

    ..

    ZR1 RULES!

  • Rossion q1 is stock. Viper ACR is a fine tuned viper. Just think about bigger turbos and turning up the boost on the Q1. I've been to the Rossion dealership here in pompano. Dean said they will probably make a FQ1. Q1 means quick one imaging what FQ1 stands for. Fine tune a Q1 and you have a car only comparable to motocycles.

  • the viper only has more balance wight and lighter disk brakes... its not tuned at all

  • The Viper ACR comes tuned for track performance lol. If you are worried about the Viper, believe me it does plenty fine versus the Rossion. No worries. :) They are just testing the car on the track..

  • yes but its still stock.. there is no mods besides its lighter and balanced

  • The Rossion is a kit car in America. It hasn't passed safety tests yet.

  • Pretty sure its available but they have only put a few out so far, saw one at the dallas cars and coffee in september, amazing amazing car...

  • Comment removed

  • Oh yes, it is available.

  • The Rossion Q1 is sick and fast. I love Noble. They keep it real with RWD, manual, and no aids. True car lover technology. Let the driver be in conrol. That is the most fun, even if it isn't the fastest car.

  • It's Noble that owns Rossion now?

  • I believe that is all Rossion has ever been. Slightly changed Nobles to meet US safety/emissions standards.

  • Are these cars US made? I thought the Noble was a British car if I'm not mistaken, also, what about Mosler, since you seem to know alot about this kind of stuff, is Mosler a british car or american, there seems to be conflicting information on this. I know the engine is an LS from the Vette, right? I want one so bad, But I'm afraid that my first proper "exotic" car will be a Viper ACR

  • Nobles are British owned and designed and built in South Africa. I believe Rossions just have slightly changed bodies not sure where they are modified.

Mosler is American and built in America with LS engines of different spec depending on what you buy. There are some modded versions done in Germany. Example: MT900GTR.

The Viper ACR is a good pick. It will smoke 99% of cars for under $100k. The Mosler will be near double that but it will smoke the ACR and 99.9% of cars.

  • The ACR is great because it is fast but retains all the fun aspects of a track car; no traction aids, manual transmission, and RWD. You can't have any more fun than that.

  • No Rossion owns rights to the noble m12 here in us. They bought the rights to it.

  • Are the Rossion based on the Noble?

  • Yes, they share the same chassis and a similar drivetrain.

  • Cool, I thought so. I'd love to own is the M400. Are the Rossions closer to the older(M12) Nobles or more like the newer M15?

  • @rossionracer different chassis; the only thing that's the same is the windshield and the rear mirror
