@TaLoCc, does have boost by gear, correct. But it's not in ANY way active. It's like tire pressure. Once you set it, that's what you get for that pass. the computer doesn't make changes based on wheel slip and then adjust accordingly (kind of like the opposite of anit-lock brakes where it makes decisions for you to improve breaking). I WISH we had something like that on this car when the tires start to spin. sure would make it easier. :)
Probs on your build man! i love how you have stock port b16 head and itr cams along with s372 lol u saved me a lot of money to prove a point lol what trans are you running?
@CopperBased , HOLY COW!!!! You're right. :) lulz... Traxxas does the truck thing, we do the import car thing. Although, truth be known, I'm old school v8. But this kind of power is hard to ignore! ;)
I cant argue about power, modern heads, turbos, and EFI is the great equalizer of the breeds and engine types. I guess front wheel drive adds by subtraction, making getting down the track harder but different, sorta like limited tire classes that need real innovation where something like Super Street in the NHRA is well set in its ways. I approve, and that thing seems to have a stupid top-end charge, I know of an old Datsun pickup that runs that ET at only 138mph or so.
@CopperBased, yea, putting up another 40mph on the big end. I think it'll be amazing by next fall. ;) Appreciate the note. I'm a car guy, doesn't matter what it is. I love 'em all. :)
@Stormer94 I gotta say thats one of the best hooking Civics I've seen. Really nice love these Civics. There like the little cars that could. Even though they were made more for circuit racing they are pretty quick in a straight line if tuned right!
But its too bad that the 'ricers' of the world have given the cars and the company a bad rep. They actually pretty durable, hell my mom still has her 91 Accord EX and it runs fine! Just a little wear and tear from age. (Its 20 years old ppl) Lol
@Vert344, yea, that's kind of the nature of an inexpensive base model car. Kids end up with them. ;) I even like to poke a bit of fun at myself, "not bad for a car that was designed to keep pizza delivery profitable". ...lol...
import racing is still relatively new. We're gonna break stuff as we figure it out. The domestic V8 guys had a 60 year head start. We 4 cylinder guys haven't been at it all that long. V8's suffered to in the early days. I'm a car guy, I love all of them.
@BIHxJDMxSUPRA Well I know no honda is capable of making tht kinda power with out an engine swap or a miracle. But they may not make the power of a 2jz but 3sgte 4 banger engine's that ppl a using right now is making enough power to make 6sec passes... They are not the low 6.5-6.4sec passes that the 2000hp+ 2jz drag car are making but at least they make enough power to make a 6sec pass... Check out Chivy King for an example... 3sgte and running 6.8secs @193mph
It just comes down to displacement. That little two liter will only pass so much air. Go get one of those Porsche 944 engines that were three liters, that would make it a lot easier.
It is inherently flawed in how small it is. Breathing suffers. You will get more power from more displacement with less effort and boost from a much larger engine.
@BIHxJDMxSUPRA Yeah, last YOU checked...and you'd be wrong. Don Nase, Jr. holds that record. Brent may be the fastest back half 3/4 chassis 4 cyl, but not the fastest overall.
@BIHxJDMxSUPRA I know, I was there. He did it at World Cup Finals Imports vs Domestics at MIR. I was disappointed to hear he wasn't coming this past November, but ongoing safety issues with the new setup in the car stopped him from running. He's probably even faster now.
Both cars have full race engines running the best of everything. They are race cars. The technicality that one owner bothered to get the car licensed before doing the work is meaningless.
How come every turbo civic video I see there's all that shit on the bumper?

@MrPanda7426, back bumper holes are to help release air from under the car. :)

@TaLoCc, simple hondata s300 ECU no traction control of any kind, keep that junk LIGHT, don't want no added weight.

The titans supras best run is only about a tenth faster than Shepard, and still nearly a full second off pace for worlds fastest street car racing.
